That's a defence lawyer for you. He doesn't want an appeal coming out of the weeds in the future saying he didn't used everything to mitigate for his client.

What a great bloke he was probably a father and nothing was to happen to your daughter on his watch! I'm sure you gave her some very strong advice as regards this and I wouldn't be surprised if that truck driver didn't impart advice to her himself. :)
Until I understood there was a separate thread for Charles, I continued on my merry way, thank you for informing me. I don't read every single post or thread.
He made the right choice as he didn't even consider it. He was damned well going to help that girl, come what may. His daddy taught him not to turn away and mind his own business. A damsel in distress was his business, no matter what.
For me, I'm of the conclusion he used his butcher's knife, dismembered and burnt her away. Not away enough to destroy all evidence. Inconceivable? Sadly not. :(
