Well, it took about 3 seconds for me to find some questionable dealing by Robert Geffner...
Seems the defense can not hire a decent witness.

if the defense is granted a surrebuttal with Dr Robt Geffner...how does the defense know already that Geffner would concur with Laviolette unless they've already had him interview Arias, read all the journals, texts, IM's, etc???

O/T update. Surgery went great! Cataract out, lens inserted in 8 minutes. go back at 9 in the morning though for a check up. I will miss the first part of the trial. But yayyyyy surgery went great! :great:

Report summarizes his interview with Marie Hall:
"She didn't know too much about Jodi, other than what
she learned tonight. She learned that she was kind of
obsessive and that she had manipulated Travis' facebook
account. She also mentioned hearing that Jodi would get
into the house through the doggie door without being
invited. She described Jodi as a "stalker ex-girlfriend.
Marie said she was actually kind of worried about her,
because she was obsessive. She had also heard that
Jodi had stolen some of his personal journals and they
[sic] had recently taken some pages of his new book he
was writing. She knew Travis spoke to Jodi sometime
last week. Travis called Jodi, because he caught her
hacking into one of his email or Facebook accounts and
confronted her about it. Other than this she knew very
little about Jodi Arias."

IMO the above excerpt from Det. Flores investigation report regarding Mimi Hall's statements is quite possibly the piece to the puzzle that I've been searching..

IMO this likely is the exact catalyst that many of us have been searching for as to what was the event that led to Travis' anger seen in his texts and emails that have served as the defense entire basis of characterizing him as abusive..

IMO it is likely the event that Mimi refers to in this above excerpt from the report.. Travis had caught Jopdi hacking into his accounts and confronted her about it the week prior to his death.. This is what Mimi tells us in this report.. The week prior is the time frame that the entire email and text msg exchange occurred with Travis very angry.. We also know per Mimi in the 911 call that Travis had told his stalker ex girlfriend the week prior that he never wanted to ever see her again..

It is exactly these events that Mimi speaks of that occurred the week prior to his murder.. And IMO it is these exact events which are the catalyst that led to Travis confronting Jodi, once and for all calling her out and stating exactly who and what she is..and its exactly the event that led to the anger seen in those emails and texts for which the defense has built Travis' entire abusive character around..

IMO its this event of Travis having caught Jodi once again hacking into his accounts that led to the confrontational messages which IMO led to Jodi at that point in time definitively drawing the line in the sand, so to speak, wrt her deciding for certain that Travis was going to die.. The messages exchanged on 5/26/08 that IMO stemmed directly from Travis catching Jodi hacking into his accounts is IMO the catalyst for which I've been searching... Those messages exchanged on 5/26 directly led to Jodi staging the break in two days later on 5/28 for which she secured one of the two murder weapons, the 25 semi auto handgun..that gun used one week later by Jodi in her carrying out the murder of Travis..

IMO his catching her once again hacking his ACCTS is what led to his calling her out in those electronic messages on 5/26.. Which he never had any idea would be the issue that was the deciding factor that would lead to her choosing to take his life...

I think the imaginary April choke-out led JA to pack the UHaul and take off for CA... only she called a few hours later... and asked TA if she could come back and spend the night...which turned into 4-5 nights iirc. I could be wrong, since that sounds like crazy talk, which probably means it's correct. Jodi never answered exactly when this occurred, except it was before April 10.

And Jodi is the violent one, Travis only reacted to her with angry words. The defense ought to have all Jodi's violence allowed in...anything not allowed in before, should be allowed in now, imho.

The doc that defense team wants on did not write any of the articles listed on the website listed above. Rather they were written by 2 lady doc Dr Duncan and Dr Hines. So I imagine that the doc that that the dt wants to enlist will NOT agree at all with violence against men by female partners. IMO

Is May 28 the day of either the email or the text message that so much has been made of? I noticed after watching this again....and you are so right she does get antsy talking about Cancun and Mimi! Anyway, Juan specifically asks her of she knew he was taking someone else to Cancun on MAY 28. Just sayin'.....it's gonna be real interesting when we hear from Cancun PPL during rebuttal.

I can't remember the details except that in her interview with Flores... she claimed she had no idea Mimi was going with Travis to Cancun until the day of the memorial service. I believe .. and CMIIW but I seem to recall her letting it slip on the stand ? that she did know prior to June 4. Anybody else recall this?

This feels like this is something he wants to do to rehab his friends reputation. Good luck, buddy, and hope that you don't get dragged down into the sewer along with the other defense experts.

If he is allowed, however, I really feel like he will probably help neglect Dr. DeMarte's testimony because he's older, as well, and there ARE some older people on the jury and they will relate to him more than Dr. DeMarte. I hope it ends up not mattering because, again, none of that can erase the obvious signs of premeditation.

Nevertheless, this trial is stressing me out!

I have learned so much about the judicial process by watching this trial I feel like a lawyer! There are a couple of things I'm unclear on and I'm hoping someone can help me out!

1. When the text/im/emails are presented and they are in evidence, why can't the witness read them out loud?:banghead:

2. The text/im/emails have been talked about in pieces and out of context. Is the entire copy entered into evidence or just the portion they are talking about? If the entire messages are entered into evidence, does the jury get to read the entire conversations when deliberating?lease:

Apparently, the basis for their request is that JM failed to disclose that the BPD diagnosis was going to come in during Dr. D's testimony. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it Jenny who accidentally mined that little gem during her cross of Dr DeMarte?

Really? As if the defence didn't have access to her report? Seriously?
