I guess we see what we want to see.

The white part is flash from a cell phone pic. JMO

LOL, I'm not a betting person, so I don't make bets unless I'm reasonably (read: extremely) sure I'm not going to lose my money. I won't even play the slots when we go to Vegas ;)

But do you have a more plausible explanation for the straight, almost squared off white section on his head? Flash glare wouldn't be that abrupt or symmetrical. It doesn't even fade, it just cuts off mid blood-flow. And you can tell from the blood pattern that the wound should actually be much higher up on his head, not right at the edge of the line.
<BBM>

I didn't reply to that portion of your previous post, because we disagree about the picture. To answer your question without getting into a back-and-forth, the details you point out in the photo do not IMO appear to be the result of tampering or alteration. It looks legit to me and appears to corroborate the events that took place that night as I understand them. JMO

Jumping in late so might have been covered, but is that a gauze pad on top of his head? I can see an outline where the blood is but also the sides higher up. Moo

It doesn't look like gauze to me, but anything's possible. Remember, though, that at this point the EMTs had not yet arrived - this is literally supposed to have been taken within 3 or 4 minutes of the shooting, during the time when police say they were relieving him of his weapon, securing the scene, etc. Where would he have even gotten it? And if he needed gauze or bandages in the first place, then why did the paramedics send him to the police department without any bandages after they'd looked at him?

I would like to see the original picture that was submitted to ABC, instead of a screen cap. I think that would answer some questions.

In fact, check this out: do you see those little areas in between the blood where his scalp is showing through and it's light and overexposed? That's what his whole head should look like. But instead what we have is this huge chunk missing. I have to say, it not only doesn't strike me as credible for ABC to claim this hasn't been edited (although I'm not even sure they ever made that claim to begin with), I think it may come back to bite them in the you know what.

you are correct, the line IS too high to be a hat tan line...however...as I didnt watch any appearances of GZ so I've only seen his front...has he got a bald spot? cause it could be that..if the wound on him is about parallell to the top of the head, that and his brush cut (dark hair over the rest of the head) could explain why it isnt all over exposed - that's dependant if he has a bald spot - anyone notice?

eta bbm not necessarily! depending where the light was coming from - was it a phone cam with flash on, does anyone know? streetlights?

I wonder who he is calling or on the phone with?

I, personally, would never submit sworn testimony without verifying the truthfulness and accuracy of everything that as in it. That may just be me, though.

My post above just explained that Gilbreath did verify it through other officers on his staff and the evidence they provided.

HELP GZ? He best not, but IF he does, one thing for certain, he'll hear from me..JMHO

LP has been out of the media for a while now and would probably like an opportunity to be a talking head once again. That said, maybe he regrets that he posted bond so that KC could get out of jail. :moo:

And I'm saying that I am swearing to the entire document, so I would make sure that everything in the document is valid. If there is an issue with it, that's still my signature affirming that I swear to the validity of it. He just had to look at the testimony the girlfriend gave in order to do this. Frankly, it would really just be doing his job.

Do you have evidence that he chose not to? I believe it's been stated before that he requested medical treatment or to go to the hospital and it was declined.

"From what info is currently available about Zimmerman's injuries, he was observed by responding police to have a cut lip, bloody nose (some reports say broken) and a laceration in the back of his head consistent with hitting the sidewalk, in addition to numerous bruises consistent with being repeatedly struck by fists. According to the police report, Zimmerman declined medical treatment at the time but did go for treatment at a later time, possibly the next day"

Just to weigh in on the apology issue. IMO, GZ wanted to express condolence to TM's parents. It was completely against his best interest to do so at this time (as opposed to during sentencing as others have suggested) and to do so in a courtroom on the witness stand. And, IMO, it humanizes him. Whatever the words, whatever the venue, IMO, it showed that the man has compassion.

Feel free to throw the rotten veggies, but that's JMHO.

That wasn't documented in any police report I've seen. Where is this from? The PC affidavit? It's already been established there were some... liberties taken with wording in there.

ETA: This is from a commenter on a website. The police report released to the public said no such thing.

Lawyer: Zimmerman may remain in jail until middle of next week..

(CNN) -- The neighborhood watch volunteer who fatally shot Trayvon Martin could remain behind bars until the middle of next week due to concerns about collecting enough funds for his $150,000 bond, his lawyer said Saturday.
Attorney Mark O'Mara visited his client George Zimmerman in the John E. Polk Correctional Facility in Sanford, Florida on Saturday, a day after Seminole County Judge Kenneth R. Lester Jr. set the bond. Prosecutors had asked that Zimmerman remain in jail without bond until trial or that it be set at $1 million.

Spontaneous? Should he have done this on NG? Or a letter to the paper? Or maybe sent flowers and a card? Really?

How often does someone actually apologize in a situation like this? From GZ's standpoint, saying sorry is somewhat ridiculous I'd think. JMO

Being spontaneous doesn't mean going on TV or even writing a letter, certainly not sending flowers!

Spontaneous:
arising from an unforced personal impulse; voluntary; unpremeditated: a spontaneous comment

GZ has a wife, parents, brother and had legal advisors who could have quietly and privately sent a short written or verbal message to Trayvon's parents through their lawyer, saying he was sorry.

To do this publicly in a bond hearing to benefit himself is past being an insult to the parents.

Pastor Terry Jones says Zimmerman told him not to come to Sanford
Terry Jones of the "Stand Up for America" organization said he fears a race riot could erupt in Sanford....

Before Gainesville pastor Terry Jones came to Sanford on Saturday to publicly support George Zimmerman, he got a call from the Neighborhood Watch volunteer.

Hmm, wonder if Zimmerman asked Terry Jones to help out with his bail money?

How do we know they didn't? JMO

It's the same picture on ABC's web site, not a screen cap from video. This picture was submitted to them - I presume they stuck their logo over it to claim ownership of the scoop.

Do you suspect that maybe ABC thought it was too graphic, or that it was done to keep the extent of his injuries private for trial? Wouldn't they have mentioned that when they released it?
