Wonder who called in the tip and how crediable it was. Hopefully we don't have a LE there that would release unfounded tips to the public.

And I wonder how RC is taking this news story??? I, myself who be very mad and I am not even related to Haleigh. I can't even imagine a father's reaction.....Has be rung her neck yet?

This makes A Whole Lot of sense...if true...and if true...i pray they find Haleigh, and prosecute Misty along with anyone else involved!

Now i do have one question: Why does she always seem to say...'them'...'they'...etc when referring to whomever took Haleigh. Why Never singular?...'he' thanks for any help.

Being a southerner originally, I would say it is a regional vernacular.
(anyone have a spare Chic~fil~A sandwich)?

Oh, my.
I know many of us suspected this from the beginning. MY QUESTION IS
if M had been honest from the beginning, would it have changed the course of the investigation? Would Haleigh have been found by now?

The outcome might have been the same, but the investigation would have gone down different paths. They would have had a better time window of when it could have happened, been able to question the people she was with, not wasted the time they have spent questioning her about the sleeping arrangements and what happened. Energy burned and wasted while H is out there somewhere.

I know that where I'm from, we use "they" and "them" a lot, especially if we're not saying "he" or "she".

Now Nancy Grace is reporting that LE is saying that Misty WASN'T home. Is this just NG bs, or is it now confirmed?

I wonder if the tip came from the public and it is just theory, or if someone that was with her has finally come forward.

My original thought: Misty was just coming home when the father came in, which is why she "just happened to be up" at that exact moment. She knew what time he was expected and made sure to be back. She may have come in and found things just as she said - back door propped open, kitchen light on, etc - only she wasn't getting up to go to the bathroom; she was walking in the front door. JMHO.

thanks everyone. i was thinking, maybe it meant that she knew there was more than one person that took Haleigh.:blowkiss:

posted on gen discussion thread but it is about to close.

If Misty left to party or whatever,
1. did she take her blanket for her "whatever" w/ some other guy?
2. when she returned and it was obvious that Haleigh was gone, was her "cleaning" an effort to destroy evidence that a perp was there while she was out? i.e., Haleigh was attacked in the house and it would have been obvious that Misty was not there? Could Haleigh have been murdered in the trailer and Misty disposed of her body???

I think that's why she can't describe what Haleigh was wearing at bedtime. I don't think she was there. I think she plopped the kids in front of the tv and left.

Grandma N is standing by Misty, being home. A family member dropped off some clothes. No time given...by TN

This would explain why the kitchen light was on and the back door was open? If the kids were left alone, how would Haleigh get that back door opened? Why wouldn't she go out the front door? I understand leaving something-cinder block- to keep the door open if she was afraid she couldn't get back in. IS it possible she wandered out looking for Misty and either ran into a somebody or something... ? I hate to even let my mind wander there...

If a perp took her from the home, why wouldn't rj have seen or heard something? Wouldnt' he tell his mamma Misty wasn't home and Haleigh went to look for her? Why wouldn't Haleigh to the friends/family that live so close? IS it that dark in this trailer park there are no 'street lights' or at least lawn type lights one might see in a multi housing community?

They done the ground search.... so if Haleigh wandered out and got lost someone would have found her no?

Prayers for little Haleigh.

I'm not sure what Misty learned in school, but "they" is a politically correct replacement for "he." (similar to saying "he or she")

I thought she said around 3 pm but it was quick so don't make that in stone. I am getting the feeling that Misty is more afraid of Ron's repercussions than anything. I still don't think she harmed Haleigh but was irresponsible. She isn't the brightest bulb and I think LE could have broke her by now if she had harmed the child.

Maybe he is a hard sleeper and maybe the tv was turned up loud enough to block out noise?
Why wouldn't Haleigh to the friends/family that live so close?
Maybe they don't get along with neighbors, or maybe she did knock on the door but they didn't hear or their dog barked and scared her?

I would say yes but little Caylee was right down the street from home and no one found her. Except we do think that area was under water. I think they would have found Haleigh by now. Plus I don't think she would go out in the dark alone; she would have picked up the phone to call granny or whoever.
Prayers for little Haleigh.
Amen to that!

PS All this speculating is driving me crazy. How do detectives stand it?

PPS Sorry I mangled your lovely post with my messy attempts to answer in the quote.

Okay......which Websleuther called in this tip???!!!!!

And....Misty is still alive and hasn't been shot by Ronald after this news has come out??? I say this half jokingly and half serious.

And as others have pointed out...if this is true..then how much closer could/would we be in finding Haleigh????!!

Yes. It is frequently used to indicate when someone is not sure of the gender or the number of people.

thanks missed it.

I think they took his gun after the threats he made on during the 911 call. It will have to be another means if he does kill her.
