Remember Misty being overheard at the bus stop talking about the bad chit they had gotten that weekend? I had speculated before that maybe they did more of that that night (like they had some left and didn't want to "waste" it) and maybe it was bad. Laced with something (my friend back a long time ago smoked some weed that was laced with PCP-was not a good experience) and they were outta their minds. Joe might have let his violent side take over. I don't know just a thought.

Very possible....jmo

NG will be covering it tomorrow night. A WS posted the info earlier when telling us Levi was going to do JVM's Issues.

For those of you asking--the name they say several times in the background is LeeLee--pronounced LayLay in Tennessee I guess. LOL. That is Lisa's family nickname--I have a pic of her family and she is labeled as LeeLee.
Sounds like none of the family is too happy with H&L--guess they haven't cleaned up their act at all.

Hey, thanks. I thought that's what they were saying. If you tell her she'll take all her Xanax and kill herself. Something like that. The longer version really gave us more of the scoop on the family and it was easy to understand they were talking about Lisa who wasn't there. I can't remember her sister's name, the one who lives with FloraH but I'm sure she's the chatty one in the background.

That close, are ya' to the fam? Labeled pics and all.

At first I felt extremely sorry for Tommy. I thought he was rather pathetic. After listening to his phone call with Grandma Hollars, I will never feel sorry for him again, and this is why: NOW he states he is afraid for his children (good move there Tommy.)

I know how we think here. I believe we are all responsible, caring, loving people (especially concerning children.) SO if any one of us were in Tommy's shoes what would we do? Well, I know exactly what I would do. When he was arrested and sent to jail, he could have, would have, (or certainly should have) begged the LE for protection for his wife and children, and told them everything in exchange for that protection. Funny how now that things are going down that Tommy is "afraid for his children" (please)

Remember early on when Lindsay was telling Tommy they didn't have enough money for very much food or gas to come visit him, his selfish statement was put money in my account so you can call me.

I truly do believe Tommy loves his children and his wife. However, he along with most of these players, love themselves more.

I find this tape interesting and am enjoying all the discussion. I think maybe I am hearing a little something different than some of you. The family dynamics here is interesting. They seem to absolutely thrive on drama. I bet TC is very aware of this and let Flo just go off on her tangent til he could get her help that he called for. He probably knew as soon as they hung up that phone would start dialing. He Never said Jo's name. The little he did say makes some one else come to mind for me. The only one that is unable to reach his family is Ron. MOO

4Jacy, this is too good just to click the thanks button.

Not only was Tommy not asking for protection for his family, he was afraid of a guy who lives far, far away. Really, Tommy? Why not just tell Ron? He already threatened to kill the person who "stoled" his daughter. Why not just say "Joe took her, I saw him"? He could have made up a story later about why he couldn't stop him, "Misty was drugged, I was coming to check on the kids because the lights were on, which is usual at the time of night, and Joe was driving away. Misty told me everything when I got her to wake up." Anything is better than what they've been doing for 15-16 months.

Yep, you and I heard the same thing.

Food for Thought: Jr. would know TC, but would not recognize JC

Where was Jr during all of this? That bugs the daylights out of me. He seems to have faded into the woodwork during all the excitement - 911 call, Ron screaming profanities, even the policeman had to ask who the other child was when Misty said they were sleeping in the big bed (it's on the LE report).

I am disturbed by the apparent glee Flo took in Hank and Lisa's descent into a suicidal he!!. I imagine JO is close on their heels...

This matriarch is looking like a source of estrangement and familial destruction. jmo

I have asked myself this since the first time I heard the 911 call

:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: Naw just nosy--found it on myspace or facebook-one of the 2 and names are on there LOL

does anyone have a timeline from Tommy's LDT through the search and granny flora's last interview of what she's been told? TIA
as far as granny being "adorable" she lost that factor with me when she said if Joe was molesting misty, misty must have liked it 'cause she always wanted to go over there, really who says that?? it's not adorable imo

I think that Flora was angry with Misty because of her "Loose" ways and it really irked her to watch it happen on her watch. So since she is plain spoken and tells it like it is, she came out with that statement. She could and should have said, Misty spent entirely too much time with Joe when she came to visit and it really bothered me. But....she just spoke her mind instead. :waitasec:

I’ve listened to this tape twice today. Did I miss something? Where did Granny Flo come up with any of this bs she told Nancy Grace regarding this call on 4/15?

GRACE: Did Tommy Croslin call you from behind bars? And if so, what did he say?

HOLLARS: He told me he was crying. And he says, Nanny, I`ve got to break down. I`ve got to tell somebody. And I told him, I says, Tommy, I know in my heart exactly what you`re fixing to say. He says, Nanny, what do you mean? I said, Are you going to tell me that Joe did this? He says, Yes, Nanny, Joe did.

GRACE: Ms. Hollars, when Joe -- excuse me -- when Tommy Croslin calls you from the jail crying, what did he say happened?

HOLLARS: He was crying. And I told him, I said, You failed your lie detector test, didn`t you, Tommy? He says, Yes, I did. And I told him, I says, Now it`s time for it to come to a head. I want to know right now. In my heart, I already know. I said, Did Joe do this? He says, Yes, Nanny, Joe did. But he never implicated himself at that time. Misty`s the one that implicated Joe and Tommy.

GRACE: Did Tommy Croslin tell you what happened, other than he just killed her?

HOLLARS: That`s all he said.

At least ONE player seems to be telling the truth:

Werter said Friday that Croslin Jr. "did not tell Flora Hollars anything about the investigation except to have his attorney contact and meet with him."

I think we just got the truth from Tommy as Tommy knows it. Meaning, Tommy told the story he was told, not that it is necessarily the whole truth.

It is obvious from this part when Tommy keeps saying "he" that he is not talking aobut Joe. Tommy never says "Joe's" name himself. Tommy also told Granny Flo "don't talk" "don't tell." Tommy really did not want to tell Gma Flo anything. But Gma Flo is a talker. Anyone who has a Gma Flo knows that the only time they will ever be able to keep quiet is when they are dead. They can't help themselves...they talk and talk and talk.

So here you have Gma Flo asking if it is the story Misty is telling and Tommy agrees. But when Gma Flo doesn't stop and names a name, Tommy realizes she is not going to stop without a name. Tommy also knows that this call might be released. Since Gma Flo said "Joe" and Tommy doesn't want her to talk, agreeing to "Joe" gives Tommy the prefect out. Maybe, just maybe, by agreeing to "Joe" Gma Flo won't talk. Joe is her Grandson. Would Gma Flo really tell on her own Grandson? Even if she did, Joe is not the one that Tommy fears. If the real person Tommy fears hears the story, maybe he won't realize that Tommy is talking about him but believe Tommy is talking about cousin Joe. Maybe, just maybe the real person's family will also believe that Tommy is talking about cousin Joe.

Then Gma Flo wants to know more. Tomny agreed it was the story that Misty told so Gma Flo tells that story. That story says Ron was involved. Now Tommy who thought agreeing to Joe would get Gma Flo to stop, realizes Gma not only just said the name he did not want to say but the story. So he gives a strong denial.

Tommy has to give a strong denial. Because if that was the story that Tommy told, Ron and his mother know that Tommy is talking. Sure Ron is in jail so Tommy does not have to worry about Ron. But who is the one person who was right there along side Ron, helping Ron every step of the way, the one person who is still free to run. TN is still free.

I think we just learned Tommy's truth. That Tommy was told Haleigh overdosed on a pill and died so Ron and/or his Mom disposed of Haleigh's body while Misty/Tommy were supposed to clean up the house of drugs and anything else damaging.

I also think Tommy's attorney released this today to counter Ron's attorney stating that he is working on a plea deal of 15 years. Once again we have Ron playing the victim to this big bad Croslins in case he goes to trial. Tommy's attorney just released the smoking gun to show that weepy Tommy Croslin is nothing compared to the Ron who has made threat after threat.
respectfully snipped with many thanks to 1Chump

I've spent two hours trying to catch up. Why is it that nothing interesting ever happens on my day off?

Anyway, thank you, 1Chump, for saving me the trouble of typing all of the above. After listening to the long version of the phone call three times, at this point in time I totally agree with what you've posted except the part I omitted regarding cause of death. I'm still not sure about that.
