2010.04.14 Search scene now a CRIME scene-Misty to testify against perp in plea deal

If this is true, I feel certain that Misty's word would not be enough for LE to take her seriously. She must have had something besides the locale of remains to make them believe her about whomever she is implicating but cannot imagine who at this point. Unless she is saying RC left work at some point and his former employer also knows this, which could be why we have never heard comfirmation of his timecard for that night or if anyone knows if he could have slipped away, just a thought.
But I still don't see how she gets off the hook for anything...she had to have been there as far as I can tell, and not reporting a crime like this is conspiracy or accessory I would think...
I still would like to hear from LE that they plan to file new charges...boy, will have to get up early as i am in Mountain time and may miss the alleged action...

I do too. I'm getting depressed just thinking about it. If Joe is the one, then this is great news, but It will take a lot more than Misty's word to convince me!

LE is spending way to much time searching that area for it to be a bogus lead. They took Misty out of jail and carried her down there, they called the family in yesterday and Tommy's wife changed her name on myspace, LE keeps trying to throw the media off saying we are done searching and nothing was found yet they are still searching, So my opinion is that Yes this is something and its big. They didn't do this when Misty said something about the rose in the woods, and they wrapped the search at the pond up pretty quick to, and when they did the pond search they did not call the family in.

IF the imminent arrest is RC - then MC is going to play victim as well. Kinfe at her throat, gun in her mouth, whatever - to say she was afraid for her life in having to do what she did - clean-up, dispose, whatever.

Maybe these lil field trips were what did it for MC. She HATES being inside - we all know that ad nauseum - she got a taste of fresh air, trees, water, freedom and she wants out. So, just maybe she did finally "spill it" once confronted with what LE has found (or now knows from talking with JO).

If Misty's parents lived in that area at the time, perhaps that is where she was going when she picked up Haleigh that afternoon and perhaps that is where Ron C caught up with her..
Remember Hank Sr was in the hospital..Lisa may have been at the hospital with him..Anyone know how far they lived from that boat dock, and if the incident occurred in that general area would they refer to that area as the crime scene?

Cam...you have been correct in the other case. I also recall you standing firmly early on that haleigh was in the St. Johns river...ans IIRC you said right near the banks of the river.

There could be two crime scenes. One at the MH and one at disposal.

IMO, the disposal site is a place known to the perp and usually familiar and if close to victim, sometimes comforting.

This is why placing accurate addys and knowing players habits are crucial.

They are not making any arrest without evidence. People's or even the perp's words do not count. They have to have physical evidence. They may have evidence from MH..I'm betting on it.

I am sorry to sound stupid but can she claim victim for 14 months, she has been safe behind bars now for how long.... she could of spoke up before this, right?

Hey Em, that's what I was getting at too. Someone, I believe CP, posted a map of the area and not only did the 130 Magnolia address appear close to this search area but GMS house does too. So take your pick...Misty could've been on her way to 130 magnolia or GMS house. What if after Misty picked up Haleigh from the bus stop, she was headed to GMS house to get JR?

Could Misty have been told that she would only be charged as a juvenile accessory if she was supposedly threatened to stay quiet? And that she would get minimum on drug charges?
But how could she prove anything and why would anyone believe her? Knowing where Haleigh's remains are only makes her more guilty unless she can be completely believed as to whatever story she is telling and how can that be? What proof could she have that whatever she is telling them is true, other than locale?

Could MC have told LE that the "gun" was thrown in there as well? IIRC LE took (or noted) one firearm but we are still puzzled about the "gun in the ditch". SOMETHING is in that river and LE found SOMETHING to change it from a search to a crime scene.

We didn't get any LE on camera today - so no questions asked by anyone as to "did they find anything". LE found something today - what was it?

Thanks to all who have added to this conversation for those of us out of state and differently time-zoned... I am kind of surprised to see search area focus on a space between two docks/piers. This actually gives me hope since currents there would maybe not be as much of a factor. When they were looking under the bridge I thought, no matter how slow/fast the current, after this much time good luck finding anything. If Misty is standing on that dock it gives me hope that there is/has been/will be some significant evidence found in the water to settle this once and for all.

Not sure what to make of the Joe thing. Miss Misty obviously gabbed SOMEthing that got her taken on some field trips, but he got the late night hardcore questioning from the boys in blue and they didn't drag him in. To me this says he may know something about what happened but is not a murder suspect. JMO of course.

God knows I have been asking and trying to figure out exactly where Lisa and Hank, Timmy and Chelsea lived. We think Chelsea lived at 130 Magnolia in Crescent City. Anyone have any idea how far that is from crime scene. We don't know if Lisa was staying with Tommy before 2/9. They could have been staying with Chelsea...imo.

On a different note, we has AS and TN and Hope's mom, Donald and Lisa all living there too.

I need a map and am at a loss w/o my computer with all the information.
