You know, they probably never imagined this would become a national case...so few do. (I only know about Lindsey Baum from here, for example)- Kind of like in Scott Peterson's case...he figured people had more things to do on Christmas Eve than look for his wife...
And then it blew up into the national media so quickly...and they hunkered down. Getting married probably had more to do with thinking they could not testify against each other than anything else...
And they may have figured, we can't help Haleigh now, let's make sure we keep Junior and stay out of jail...
IMO

I answered you back on page 7. Easily lost in the shuffle...

I went back and listened for a second time. It's my understanding that he said he thought she was put somewhere in that area. I didn't get the impression he was talking about her being put into some sort of container. That was my take anyway.

(BTW, I've always felt that Ron had a hand in this. His response on the 911 call just never rang true to me.[/B]QUOTE]

My bold,

I really am wondering if Ron had previously used that machine gun in some sort of robbery/drug agenda or protection--->from what or whom? Why would he lie about any sort of altercation with regards to that gun...knowing his child was missing

I'm heartbroken...God Bless lil haleigh...I'm praying she is found...it's all sooooo sad.

From what is being reported on HLN TC's grandmother was the tipster. TC broke down on the phone with her, and told her what happened.

I'm going to wait for this to play out before pointing the finger at anyone in particular.

You may not have enough fingers on both your hands,I think alot of people were involved and even more new what happened for a very long time and said nothing.

I agree Dr F. I think someone who has lost everything important to him has come clean.

maybe lawyer was with JO all along...still they must have come to a question they did not like and ended the conversation...IMO

I hope Haleigh was asleep and will think this until it is proven otherwise...too horrifying otherwise...

I think RC was not about to lose Jr. after this happened so he got on board with the coverup...I can just hear him, no one's taking my son, etc....
But would have expected a little personal justice from him...if he knew and was not involved...i.e. if it ws JO they could have "disappeared" him easily enough and who would know? The alligators there just waiting, for example...and LE would think JO took off...
I don't believe that RC knew because Misty would never have admitted to him that she was consorting with the enemy. She knew RC did not like JO. If he had discovered that she was doing drugs (and more?) with him that night in the MH, he would have thrown her out.

He might have suspected, but was never able to get any info that JO was there in the MH. I think this is why he married her. Strange as it seems, I think he thought that if he gave her what she most wanted, she would crack and tell him the truth. But she never did because she knew that would be the end of their relationship.

I was hoping he wasn't as clear as we thought about where they think she might have died, so I re-listened to it [Thank you, Patty, for the video!]. Here it is, for the record:

@ 4:20 in the first video:

Question: Do you think Haleigh died in this area?

Answer: [pauses, inhales] It's our belief that ..that... that's a very real, real possibility.

Everyone needs to remember that it was cold in February and the alligators weren't active then. Someone posted here (in one of the threads) that the alligators are just now getting active in Florida and it's April. With that said, I don't feel she was fed to the 'gators. :twocents:

Do you or anyone else find that odd?:waitasec:

It makes me think someone has given up all hope and melted down.

I have to wonder having had some experience with the world of pain killers, if having to go through withdrawl and ultimately sobriety if the gravity of what they have done is now coming forward. I guess I would like to believe that without the aid of a mind and pain numbing substance that they have realized and are starting to talk.

I guess I might me humanizing a little, not sure though if some of this family has that capacity though. :furious:

The sheriff said they had an anthropologist on scene sorting the stuff to be sent to labs and stuff was sent to labs. An anthropologist would know the difference between human and animal bone and teeth.

They found human stuff.

Well, in Ron's words, he werks undercover, and he werks for the Sheriff's Office. That's what he told his mama in one of the jailhouse tapes.

If he's in deep trouble, he should have known better than to put the child in jeopardy. All of them should know better and I hope they're all punished as severely as possible.

The sheriff looked quite teary-eyed at times. I thought he choked up a bit but covered it quite well.

Poor child. Poor little Haleigh. I don't know what to say.

I was looking up 'several' and came back to find this!
Did anyone notice that the cops only arrested Misty when she had Ron with her? They let her do it several times before and waited for Ron I think. So I think he is knee deep in this.
My gut is telling me that you may be right. How could a Father just move on like that...if he didn't know the real story.

IIRC.. Ron C told the story to Cobra first.. IIRC it went something like this..Ron C stated something to the fact IF.....you never want a body found here is where you put it... And went on to say something about Jo like to put small animals in there to see what the gators would do to them..
As I see here we supposedly have a grieving father who claims to have no knowledge of where his precious child is or what happened to her, yet he tells a disgusting hideous story of this nature..

RONALD CUMMINGS is a Sociopath in its truest form.....JMO
yeah, & gives the crime scene location. RED FLAG!!!

I wanted to bring up a quick point that was mentioned by Hardy. He said they had found gator fingernails while searching. I have only seen gators in zoos but I am assuming that they would be rather small. It makes me very confident that if they were able to find something as small as alligator fingernails that they were able to possibly find HaLeigh's remains as well.
Rest in peace, baby girl. :( We never gave up looking for you & we won't give up until you receive the justice you deserve.

I don't have the stomach right now to contemplate about how Haleigh was killed down at the river. Murdered.

I don't care who did what. I have no clue who is responsible but I will say this much: I hope and pray with every fiber in my being that every single one of those sorry SOB's that took her down to that river are strung up by their necks.

My heart wanted to believe that Haleigh didnt' suffer, that she died by accident. She was murdered.

Ugh, I can't type what I'm thinking because every other word is very blue and salty.

I feel your pain and your anger Kat. I keep thinking about how so calm Misty was on the 911 call about Haleigh. If Misty knew anything about Haleigh dying in this area, then she had to have been there. How In He77 could she be so calm and flat during the call? But hysterical when her damn purse was stolen? :furious:

Misty the key - today Sheriff Hardy says:

"Misty is the key"

"She's come to the realization that she's in trouble."
