I wanted to bring up a quick point that was mentioned by Hardy. He said they had found gator fingernails while searching. I have only seen gators in zoos but I am assuming that they would be rather small. It makes me very confident that if they were able to find something as small as alligator fingernails that they were able to possibly find HaLeigh's remains as well.
Rest in peace, baby girl. :( We never gave up looking for you & we won't give up until you receive the justice you deserve.

Depends on the size of the gator. I live in Florida, and some of those gators have big fingernails.

I feel your pain and your anger Kat. I keep thinking about how so calm Misty was on the 911 call about Haleigh. If Misty knew anything about Haleigh dying in this area, then she had to have been there. How In He77 could she be so calm and flat during the call? But hysterical when her damn purse was stolen? :furious:

Sadly, because the purse meant more to her. :furious:

I missed the presser, but would like to thank all of those that posted as it was going on......when talking about her being killed in that area, seems to me it is much closer to GGMS home....wonder what her involvment is other than the laundry that night....what clothes did she wash and bring back home to that trailer??...just thinking out loud here...

Here's a link to the uncut presser.

I like how he says he will not talk about evidence they've found and then reporters keep asking him about evidence they've found.

I'm coming late to the party having just found out there was a major break in the case today from CNN; Link

I'm gonna go search now for some of the stuff being discussed here but if someone wants to give a primer on what the recent happenings have to do with past stories I'd appreciate it. I believe I read about the gun story a long time ago but if somebody wants to refresh my memory I'd be much obliged.

This link has a long history of articles linked at the bottom.

The article for that link says this;

"They've been waiting on him to get here," she said.

Hollars said the ordeal has been beyond difficult for their family. She said, however, she thinks Overstreet knows more than he's telling investigators. He came back to Tennessee a few days after Haleigh disappeared.

"He's been a changed person since he got back from Florida," she said. "He's not been the same person anymore. There's been a complete turnaround. And there's a scare in his eyes. And it's been there ever since he came back."

Hollars also said whenever she wears a shirt with Haleigh's face on it, Overstreet often leaves the house and refuses to talk about Haleigh.

Cause Misty cares about Misty, re: the jail video when she gives daddy the little girl voice and say's "me first daddy" :furious:

Anyone else feel or hear the frustration in Hardy's voice when he answered the question about Misty and she is the key???? I think that he is tired of and sicken as we all are of her little games. :banghead:

The sheriff said they had an anthropologist on scene sorting the stuff to be sent to labs and stuff was sent to labs. An anthropologist would know the difference between human and animal bone and teeth.

They found human stuff.

I think so too. He didn't say that HaLeigh was dead just because someone told him that and just because he's been thinking that but because they have PROOF now. :(

Misty sounded drugged to me on the 911 call...pain-pill kind of drugged (i take them so I know I sound slow and uncertain sometimes to say the least...) her response time was slow and she did not quite understand some of the questions...

I keep thinking how RC came out of that meeting after hearing what we just heard.

That smug look on his face.

No falling down, no crying.

Sheriff Hardy: People are talking

Followup Question: How have the trafficking charges helped to get people talking?

Sheriff Hardy: Well, they have a lot of time to sit and think about it

Five people were arrested on trafficking charges on January 20th, Hope S, Donna B, Tommy C, Misty C, and Ronald Cummings. IMO, it's not too hard to figure out who's likely talking.

-Hope's talking seems limited to "Guilty"....

-Donna wasn't around on February 9, 2009....

-We know Tommy's been talking....

-We SAW Misty talking at the scene....

-The only one left has TWO CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEYS as his best friends. Might not be in his best interest to talk.

Right there with you, from the first 911 bravado/baloney call!

I think that too. I also believe what wasn't said is more important than what was. I believe that someone gave up the location of where they put Haleigh and then a human bone that could of come from a child was found, and anthro. verifyed and was sent off for DNA to confirm. The following day's were in hopes of finding more. just my MOO here.

I agree with you 100%. They found something, and most likely are waiting for testing to be done.

moo.... The Sheriff wouldn't have been so emotional unless they have received corroberated information and physical evidence. He wouldn't have "choked up" just because MC threw out some new bs story.

we for sure could use a presser transcript eh? lots of semantics at play there....
