Can anyone clarify the term "tight boots" for me?

I haven't heard that saying where I come from and am wondering if it is universally used down south and what does it mean - something about blood restriction to the brain, perhaps?

I just hope and pray that the defense regrets this motion, and soon. It was a low blow for them to file the motion in the first place.

I just read on the Orlando Sentinel, in their comments - a poster said the new judge is strict in the courtroom and shouldn't be taken lightly.

WOW!!!! I was not expecting all this happiness in this thread. So I guess now we agree that there was sufficient cause for JS to recuse himself. Good to see LOL! I agree with the sentiment "be careful what you wish for" in regards to the defense

There certainly wasn't sufficient cause, but just potential for things to be twisted and misinterpreted.

As in the defense would like to "put the boots" to this court re the motions but can't get it together because those boots are too tight (and hurt).

Good! Now this won't be an appeal issue, KC loses the judge she thinks wanted her to "look good" for a judge who may not think too highly of the racist comments in her letters to RA, and JS takes the helium out of the defense's "we won a big motion!" balloon by sticking it to them in the order.

I hope Judge Perry gives them $0 in the budget for Henry Lee and orders them to pay him in oranges as agreed.

I read the MarinadeDave statement about Judge Perry. There is no involvement. MD simply stated he didn't like a different candidate that was running against Judge Perry a few years ago. Hope that helps!

Man, what an afternoon. First I wanted to scream when I heard he was stepping down, more because I could picture Casey and her defense high fiving that the meanie judge was out of the picture.

Then I just finished the thread and read the order. OMG, I am in awe. I have never seen a "kiss my butt" so eloquently put before! His word usage made me drool! And the footnotes about KILLED ME!

That being said, I hate this. I hate that he has to go in furtherance of the getting a fair trial. I hate that the defense can't see fairness and honesty if it bit them in the butt. I hate that once again, Casey is getting her way, and I just want to smack that smirk off that I know is on her face, and smack away the giggles that I know are coming from her mouth right now.

But his response restores some of my faith. So does the next judge, and I hope he reads Casey's jailhouse love letters first. Casey, I'd be sweating if I was you. I'd be having nightmares because now that you've gotten rid of the only Judge that might NOT have upheld a verdict of LWOP or a needle in your arm you really should have no hope left of EVER leaving jail.

You still happy with your defense? Are they still your boys? I didn't think you or your defense could sink any lower, but yep, you did. And mark my words, you are going to pay for it dearly in the end. You have no idea what you have done to your own case and to yourself at this point.

But at least Judge Strickland left this case with class and dignity. I'd rather have that than have this whole circus turned on appeal just because he wouldn't leave. No, he's definitely getting the last laugh here, Casey. You're so stupid you probably don't even know that yet!

I definitely need a drink tonight. I really hope JS's leaving does not mean anything good for Casey's defense. I don't know how much longer I can hold on if these shenanigans continue, I just don't!

I think combined with the "active imagination" comment it can be thought to mean, your boots are hurting your feet so much that your brain isn't functioning properly.
