There was an article in my hometown freebie paper last week. Someone reported seeing a boy matching Kyron's description with a man. The man was holding him by the wrist. They were seen at a local store. The authorities ran the credit card that the man used. It was a pre-paid gift card (if I recall the article correctly). The card was used at 4 different locations in my area. They looked at the surveillance tapes from the store. They were convinced enough to look into it.

They found additional surveillance with the same boy a few days later, at the store with a woman.

The case was closed (undetermined) and the surveillance tape was being sent to Oregon LE.

If I recall the article also stated that the boy's clothing also matched the description of what Kyron was wearing.

Now, I wish I still had the article, so I could read it again. :banghead: I only started to really follow this case over the last few days.

From what I got from the article, the local LE didn't think that there was anything there, and that this boy is local.

I have searched all of my other local news, and have found nothing. This paper that the article was in, is a free weekly publication and doesn't have anything online.

Are you in Vermont by chance?

Is there now or has there ever been an open CPS case regarding any of TH's children? Has anyone made a recent legal move to protect her oldest child?

Oh gosh, what we all would give to know that Kyron was alive and well and in the care of people in Vermont or wherever (in reference to a poster who claims a sighting is being investigated). You know, I actually think this may be a possibility. After reading a quote from TH's ex yesterday (bolding by me) I got to thinking:

" After Kyron vanished, the reasons why Jxx left his home and friends in Portland to move to Southern Oregon have been the subject of intense speculation. Terri Moulton Horman declined to comment when WW visited her home June 23.

Jxx was a student at Lincoln High School in Portland, where he was on the swim team and played trumpet in the school band. Tarver says Terri Moulton Horman sent the boy to Roseburg in March this year because his grades were slipping and he was acting out at home.

“He and Kaine on occasion butted heads, because James is hard-headed,” Tarver says.

Okay, so here are my hopeful thoughts:
TH and KH were not getting along, at all
J was a source of great strain to KH
KH demanded J move out, TH was bitter
KH threatened divorce
TH reluctantly sent him away but held a grudge
TH kidnapped Kyron and sent him with accomplices to hurt KH
DY has seen him on a video and now is pleading for his safe return, ie the bee stings, the glasses, etc.

More twisted than any CSI episode (actually I don't watch that show), but we all know that domestic disputes become very ugly, very fast, and while it's usually the father/husband/stephusband that is the perp, certainly TH could have thought - "you send my son away, guess what buddy, here goes yours."

This would certainly account for the odd behavior of the LE, although obviously them knowing TH was the primary suspect would also cause them to keep things close to the vest.

I simply hope and pray that at this point her accomplices are just frightened of coming forward because of kidnapping charges. But then, who would help this nut-job in the first place?

Gosh, it's far-fetched but everything about this case is. I am going to say an extra loud prayer tonight that Kyron finally comes home. I think he's so close to being found.

Far fetched, but sad and frightening how much sense it makes to me. None of the other things/motives make sense. So much conflicting info, TH location on that day, where was baby sister, the divorce, the differences in stories of where older brother was, etc...

I know it's far fetched, but the more I think about it and go over all the steps in this case, things make more sense than ever before. What was so confusing, is no longer, or at least, not nearly as much. I can't find one thing to make me throw out this sick scenario, not one.

I think too, this just might be coming to a close soon. With a better ending than we could have hoped for. I sure hope so.

Are you in Vermont by chance?

No, this was in Ohio. It was in the paper about a week ago. News is usually reported a week or two after. It was in the local police blotter.

So how come this hasn't come out on the news, or did it, and I missed it? I know when there were "sightings" in california, the police checked it out, and reported back that it was NOT Kyron.

I wonder if Kaine has seen the supposed tape from Vermont, if he recognized the couple the child was with? I wonder if he might have seen this tape on Friday or Sat?

I wonder if there is a chance they might find Kyron left somewhere, like a police station or someplace safe? Not able to tell them too much. Gads, I sound like I am writing a bad movie. I am just trying to picture how this is supposed to end, if my feelings are right. If he did see anyone else he knows on that tape, that would blow that ending I guess.

I think it was season 3? I cna't find it, tho.

Could this be a 'trap' by police?

I googled and keep coming up with this thread, but I can't get the text when I go to the link -- current or cached. Driving.me.nuts!!!

The family is likely in denial. I doubt very much that LE believes Kyron is alive at this point. I mean yes, sure, it's 'possible,' but probable? Nope.

I understand why it's important for DY to hold onto hope that maybe Kyron is still alive, but from where I'm sitting, and based on what LE has been hinting and their actions, they are not expecting to find an alive Kyron, I'm sorry to say.

I have been looking through the local newspaper sites. Nothing was in any of them. It was in the police blotter of a free weekly news circular. From the tone of the article, it was chalked up to being nothing, but sending the surveillance tape anyway. Nothing came up for local authorities, they were not able to identify anyone, so the case was closed.

Not much exciting happens around here. This was in a smaller town, in a rural county.

Try that.

I must be a cynic, I'm just not seeing it that Kyron ended up someplace across the country or whatever. I think this whole thing is very close to home, including whereever Kyron has come to rest.

It is the strangest case I have ever followed, including Haleigh's case, and that is saying more than I ever hoped to say about a missing child case. But I feel the outcome in both will be the same, if we ever know.

I think this all had something to do with his school project. Maybe Kyron wanted to go out and look for frogs, or something else, to brink back to his school project. Just one more item to make it better in his mind. He may have bugged step-mom until she gave in and took him to the island. Then there was an accident??? She turned around and he was gone??? Or, he wandered off and she could not find him, kind of like that little girl that went exploring in Florida, she was lost for awhile. Maybe this is what the dogs have stumbled upon. I think it was simple as this, but something stopped her from telling what happened? Fear of losing husband and daughter maybe???

Ivan your post sounds like a Terri post lol....sorry folks but had to find some humor in the madness

Ohio is on the way to Vermont isn't it? We would not know about the Vermont sighting and the investigation there of the video if the restaurant employee had not posted the info and what they saw and were told.

There's a lot we don't know!

I agree Starry Night we need a little humor to keep from going batty. The frog search is something she would post. Along with 'polygraph test the teachers!!!' Yes, because doing something of this nature would be so easy for them to hide...My logical mind tells me the conclusion to this story that I've felt from day 1 -- but for DY and Kyron's sake I hope I am completely wrong.

I have not read what she's posted. I came into this after the Facebook stuff.

But I could see a little boy doing this. Just thinking like my 7 year old grandson.

Kyron Horman's parents urge stepmother's cooperation, want people to keep looking for the missing boy

Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton said in a phone interview that investigators believe Kyron is still alive "until we have information to the contrary."

"The investigation has not revealed anything to the contrary," he said.

He added that he could not comment on whether investigators consider Terri Horman -- or anyone else -- a person of interest in the case.

The sheriff said he's heard nothing to suggest Terri Horman's willingness to cooperate with police has changed, except that her decision to hire a lawyer "changes the dynamic on how we interact and at what level we interact."

And that's a direct quote! lol

And Thank you, God. Bless and protect this child. Bring him home.

We have got to look for an alive Kyron!!!
