It seems to me that it's the lesser evil in his mind. While she was with the former abuser she may have got hurt but at least she didn't get involved in any missing child case or do any jail time for drugs (blaming her relationship with RC about it and conveniently forgetting whatever part he and his own family played) I suppose they sense that Misty's chances of getting a decent non-drug using non-abuser non-criminal boyfriend are small or non-existent by now and the thought of her as being a complete person without a man is a foreign concept.

Right, Whisp. Ron said "that's not what happened" but all the while maintained his alibi "I was at work". So how does he know what did or did not happen if he wasn't there to witness it? IMO, he was there to witness whatever happened and he was telling the truth about the dope boys not taking Haleigh. I would love to hear the unedited version.

I am so glad you brought this up and found this link. I have been looking for weeks for the transcripts of NG's show when LP stated this as well. It caught my attention and made me feel even stronger that Ron knows much more!
If Ron owed Money to a drug dealer that stole Haleigh...as I think will be one of theories that will start brewing real soon, then why didn't Ronald take Leonard Padilla's offer of $500,000.00? He offered him up to half a million dollars to get Haleigh back. And Ron did not take him up on it, just like he didn't take Tim Miller up on the $35,000. IMO, because it was not a drug dealer that stole or hurt Haleigh and no amount of money will bring her back. IMO, Ron and Misty know what happen and are responsible. It seems that thy all are taking the theories that are being discussed on blogs and running with them in hopes one will stick. The fact remains that LE said this was no stranger abduction...LE said that there was no sign of force entry (even though Ron said early on that there was). Ron made many calls to Misty and did not return home to check on his children, instead he stopped for bear, ciggs, nuts and who knows what else..IMO, he stopped to make a drug sale or purchase...returns home where Haleigh is missing and he has Misty call 911 and then he hangs up on 911 because he has better people to talk to...he then avoids LE from further questioning for months, and has stood by Misty side since day one, never said anything negative about the person who last saw his daughter that he himself only knew her for 4 months. That is not a father that is in the dark about what happen to his daughter IMO. JMO though.
 
In reference to the "powder"...seems this gang also likes to do cocaine, so referring to the powder is powdered cocaine which is used as is for snorting or shooting up...you can also use powdered cocaine as free base, one would have to "cook" it first in order to smoke it! Crack cocaine is already cooked (with extra additives), ready to smoke..if these guys are doing cocaine, powdered, crack or otherwise, they would all become very paranoid, sleep depravation would also contribute to the paranoia..they will become very restless, need money for this drug is known as a "rich man's habit" due to it only lasting for a few seconds, then you're on to get another buzz..chasing a crack pipe to get the euphoria of that first time use, which never happens, crack is whack and folk should stay away from it...JMHO

I am a recovering addict, 26 years drug free...if someone wants to change they can (my drug of choice were downers/pain pills/valium, etc, used to take away my pain and escape the reality of a huge dysfunctional family and an abusive father).

I also had a very nasty accident back in 2005 which rendered me disabled and am on oxycontin plus I get epidurals yearly as part of my pain management. I can't tell you how it kills me to know I will have to take these pills for the rest of my life, for my injuries will only worsen as I age. I can't tell you how angry that makes me but I use them as directed and not to get "high" which is totally different than what these guys are doing. I have a hard time filling my prescriptions due to addicts like this...:furious:

I am very curious as to what ToC was referring to as the story RC said that happened?

IMO the reason RC didn't take LP or TM's offers of money is because they had strings attached. RC knew well enough from the Caylee case about LP's love affair with the media. And TM's offer came from a donor and RC had to endorse the check or some such. I don't think he would let anyone have that much control over what he did with the money. I think he wanted the money--free and clear, no strings attached--like say donations pouring in from the public--something that couldn't be traced back to any of his actions.

I really think he expected the public to feel sorry for him and Misty and didn't count on anyone feeling sorry for Crystal since she didn't have custody.

OOPS sorry I'm OT---cringes at Kimster's whip--sometimes one comment just leads to another train of thought. I will try to behave!

IMO, Misty’s parents should have been very strict with Misty on this matter and should have done everything they possibly could to prevent their marriage.

Lisa and Hank failed miserably as parents LONG before Ronald Cummings ever made his way on the scene.

Tommy, Hank and Lisa drove to GGM's house where Ron and Misty were living, in their narrative, to answer a distress call from Misty because she didn't want to stay there anymore and that Ron was crazy. Instead of leaving with her family, she threw herself into the mix and took a stand against THEM, filing restraining orders on her mother and brother.

Frankly, that says to me they tried. They are flawed and lazy parents, but they answered their daughter's call immediately.

I havent had a chance to even listen to this recording (if I even can) but it would be nice if they were at least released in some order so it is easier to figure out how it is progressing...like being able to listen to the earliest to the latest .... oh well can't look a gift horse in the mouth :crazy:
 
I'm working my rump off for 2 family gatherings this weekend, and I haven't had much time to keep up with the news. Does Tommy have a bond now, and if he does, what's going on with it? I thought LP was going to bond him out. Have we figured out if Lindsy's divorce is for real, or just a way to help her out financially?
It sounds to me like Tommy is "setting the stage" to get rehab instead of prison time. Maybe he is still addicted to the pills, but I find it hard to believe he's that bad.
I wonder why we haven't head anything from AH lately? Just seems to me that when things get this quiet, something is going on.

Tommy has high bonds on two charges, and zero bond on another charge, so even if he's bailed out on the drug stuff, he's stuck in jail for the burglary.

I'm sure AH is just gathering facts.

I believe it was one of RCs possible theories of what could have happened pretty early on in the case. Its the story of how Haleighs disappearance stems from drug dealing and the mexicans and that it is someone related to such that is responsible for Haleigh's disappearance. And that is why Tommy keeps saying that LE doesnt want to hear that(CUz they know thats not the case)

In the UC tapes, Ron said dope boys don't kidnap children, they would kill Misty and both children so he would come home and find them all dead.

IMO, that was another cover story. If LE ever found Haleigh and charged Ron, his defense would be that the dope boys killed Haleigh, he found her and was afraid the dope boys would kill him if he told LE the truth so disposed of her body to cover it up.

He further covered his story by mentioning it to a "few" people, hoping LE could hear about it from others. Ron could deny it if the dope boys found out, LE could get the person who hurt his daughter and Ron could claim he helped LE in the only way he could without getting himself or other family members killed by talking.

Ron has a pattern of putting theories out there through other people. Almost like he is trying and trying to give LE a theory to run with in the hopes LE will be able to pin it on someone else and Ron can get back to his life.

Wasn't it in the Hope undercover video? It was one of the UC tapes when Misty got out of the car, Ron moved from the backseat to the front seat then had the UC drive around.

Teehee, I just had to laugh when I read this because I was thinking about how pizzed Misty would be if this "friend" came down and bailed out both Tommy and Ron. Woooooooeeeeee, she would really be a mad hornet.
 
These people can afford a cocaine habit? I'm not being snotty about their socio-economic status but isn't that a bit more expensive than most drug habits? I don't know much about any of that.
 
I've been out of the loop for a few days and am just listening to this tape. Down for two days and you sure miss a lot! Thank you everyone for your posts.
