When you first hear a juror say they don't know anything about this case, it seems hard for us to believe but I'm telling ya if my DH was called, he wouldn't know didly (sp?) about this case either.

:cow:

Same here, but genders reversed. I can recite lines from interviews and discovery documents. My DW is lucky if she can remember GA & CA's names.

He'd be a good juror he sounds unbiased and skilled at making informed decisions.

Observation: Jose is holding a cheap, stick type ballpoint pen. Casey, is writing with a more impressive, professional pen.

lol, well I saw ICA demanding a pen off Ann Finnell after she came out, so I guess it's Ann's good one.

I can't get past that <modsnip> of hers to even pay attention to the pen she is holding

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

:okay:

KC doesn't want teachers judging her . . . they hold people to their word, their deadlines, and their responsibilities.

"What I Did On My Summer Vacation" I wonder if this guy could get credit hours for his experience?

Why do you think this guy hates Baez? I guess I missed that. But this guy wants on this case bad in my opinion

I agree. He wants on and I think it would work nicely into his lesson plans! Perfect example of "Democracy in action"

I don't think she approves. The defense will move to strike. IMO.

I would venture to guess this man is a conservative, he watches Foxnews. This could be a good thing for the State. He could also help explain the instructions in deliberation room to others that might be confused with the law lingo.

KC is now circulating her new blouses . . . she has worn this one before. Any bets that she will never wear the baby blue w/pearls number again?

I know quite a few people in the states who know nothing about this case.Boggles my mind too.

They have lives. They do not seek or worry about Justice like we do. I was in that category before my brother's murder, so I understand.

Teaches U.S. Government - he wants on - He would be able to give his insight on his duty to all his students in the future

Had to step outside for a minute onto my balcony to see what the crows in the trees were making a horrendous racket about.

They were squawking and dive bombing and I realized they found a raccoon sneaking up a tree towards their nests. They continued until it finally backed down the tree.

Made me laugh because it reminded me of Websleuths vs. The Defense Team and ICA. ICA will not be so lucky as the raccoon. She will not be able to slide down the tree and sneak away. :great:

Last year I had these crows keep landing on my deck, cawing at me, and it freaked me out b/c I associate them with death. But then I goggled it and May is their mating season, so thats why they are so visable and noisy in May.

:cow:

Love how HHJP made certain this guy hears about the mitigating factor of age of defendant....so AF won't trip him up...:great:

Good Morning! Today is the day we should have a swearing in, lets hope it happens.

I could maybe see a hung jury happening in the guilt phase (not sure if that's the correct term) if a juror who is against the DP was concerned that ICA would get the DP if she were convicted. That seemed to me to be what the first juror was saying.

I think by definition there can't be a hung juror. Florida don't play. A 6 to 6 tie goes toward the death penalty. I was surprised there doesn't have to be 100%, or even a majority. 6 to 6 goes toward death.

But it doesn't mean she gets death -- that just means a recommendation. The judge will make the decision, even if they're 12 to 0 for death. It's ironic that Hornsby said Strickland wouldn't have imposed death no matter WHAT the jury said.

If I'm wrong, one of our el-fabo lawyers will come along and correct me.

Blaise (who is doing a happy dance 'cause she is off, and is selfish enough to wish the trial started next Thursday, 'cause the state opening will take up all the first day so the defense opening would be on Friday so I can watch.)

This guy sounds like a good juror. Pity that he will be very far down the alternate list and probably won't be part of the judgment
