Were you referring to HHBP kinda snickering when he was reading the "instant messages" between ICA and TL? If so, I did find that a little demeaning for a Judge.

If it was another comment, please fill me in! Stupid commercials! lol

Even after reading the messages...like what can you hope to gain from this?!!

Would a person who is sexually assualted by their father (Baez in opening statement said ICA would wake up with her father's p*nis in her mouth) then be able to joke with TL about oral sex? In the IM TL says something like go suck D*I*C*K. And she says maybe later. I don't even know why I brought it up - it just bothers me and I can't stop thinking about it. When I was younger I had a friends dad rub himself against my bottom and when a BF or my husband tried to do something like that it would give me the heebee jeebee's and be a definite no. Any thoughts. Sorry if this is not an appropriate place to ask this.

I can say from my experiences, and those from my SA group it is very uncommon for that to be something comfortable with after such a HORRID experience. She is a liar!

I just talked to my law partner (who does crim law) about testimony today and the defense's weird tactic of trying to show GA was trying to disassociate himself from any involvement in the trunk stench, even though their theory is there was no dead body in the trunk. He said:
"The defense attorney is shooting for the bleachers even though he's playing T-ball. This is a total newbie move - discredit everything everyone says even if it has nothing to do with your theory or even if what they are saying does nothing to discredit your theory. This tactic is exactly what inexperienced defense attorneys do and it never works. He's going to lose."

I have not heard wind of this (that she is bonding with a juror) and all we have are cameras that are placed straight on her face or straight on the witness or the team doing the questioning.


She may have smiled....etc.. but the camera is never on the jury so I would say this is just speculation.

That was not done in front of the jurors. I checked to be sure. (If it was it would have ended the trial at that moment.)

Judge was telling State it did not make motive clear. Chuckling at JB for not getting it. Murdering parents for a few reasons, some I don't know, but here is this. To suggest DT is overboard on objecting and making things look worse. To tell State it is not a CLEAR motive. To let 2 people in a back row recognize what they need to so they can make it through trial, child or not.

JMO.

Oh...I know the jurors didn't hear it...IMO it was mocking.

darn. Didn't realize that JP's comment about ICA murdering her parents was not before the jury. I was one who did not have a problem with the comment and figured it could actually strengthen SA's case when computer forensics portion comes up. They could suggest the searches on shovels, household weapons, self defense and chloroform were done by someone researching ways to subdue kill someone or someones. But if the jury never heard that comment to begin with I guess that is not helpful. On the upside, if the jury never heard it it can't be hurtful either.

Just got home from work and was trying to stay on top of today's testimony from there via the threads. Thanks to all who posted what was happening in court for those like me who would give their eyeteeth to watch but can't.

Here is where the "fun" begins. All of testimony is about word games and timing.

It will take the right questions at the right time to make it clear. That is where you find your skilled or even just naturally good attorneys come in, either side.

Yep, it stinks. If you want a jury trial in your life ever, make sure you have the "renaissance man" renowned for his work. Look it up or have family, friends do it. There are few wily and bright enough to be great DP attorneys. Hopefully none of us will need one personally, but still, even a smaller case, try to find out. They usually do not advertise, no need to.

This is where JB hangs himself, and CM is back there wishing that he was never put on the case. He can guide, but he cannot speak. JB is lead.

JA or LDB are fine with asking GA. I hope they are waiting to drive the points home. A lot of weeks to go.

i was absolutely convinced she would not testify, till the opening arguments. now, she has to testify. there is no other "evidence" that there was abuse and as Beth K. is so fond of saying, just an accusation of abuse is evidence. plus beth has a VERY TIGHT relationship with Baez, (was telegraphing b4 openings that RK was gonna be fingered,) and she immediately said after the openings that "ICA will testify."

I will say this. Having followed all this from the beginning, since Caylee would have been my eldest son's almost exact age, I used to have the firm belief we'd never hear from ICA personally on this whole horrendously sad case.

Now however, with the way the DT appears to be bumbling on towards an abyss to tumble into, I have a growing optimism that the Inmate herself in indignant and aggrandizing self-indulgence will demand to take the stand.

It will be... I don't believe there are words.

the jury was taken out before hhjp did arguments on the TonE text motions this is when he mentioned what you all are talking about. The jury was not there.

My question is, though, did the State ask TL in his deposition about whether or not he made the comment about only wanting girls to ICA. I understand that they have not asked him about it in trial. Just wanting to know if they asked in depo and, if so, what his answer may have been.

If the court (JP) gets wind of KC trying to bond with a juror shouldn't that juror be replace with an alternate??

Who would tell JP about this? I'm interested juror #11 and alternate #16. Only because they are, 1) male and single. Actually I don't if alternate #16 is single, but he is young, around KC age. I wonder what their view is of where KC is sitting?

But wait til Cindy gets on the stand. She stated, IIRC, that she told GA to go on to work, he had a new job, and she would take care of it.

...and if they were worried that somehow Casey was involved in the death of someone else? I truly believe they thought Casey was deliberately keeping Caylee from them to punish them. I hope that comes out...but as their depositions don't reveal any such thing I don't see how it will. Casey's jealousy on the other hand will come out through friends' testimony. The "spiteful b*tch" comment can also be heard...but I don't know if there will be any explanation given.

I just saw the clip where MP breaks down. ICA "wipes" away a non-existent tear. She was trying to act choked up but did not pull it off IMO.

He drove the stinking car rather than allow his mind to accept the reality. I do not know if that is self-preservation, denial, dysfunction or a combination of all that & more. He was also pressed for time to get to his job. I heard him say today, he didn't feel like going to work after retrieving the car, but it was a new job & he had to go.... We all know the Anthonys refused to accept what was obvious to everyone else.

I hope the state addresses this matter to the satisfaction of the jury.

I think that GA smelled the death smell, and was praying that Casey or Caylee were not in that trunk. Then to open it and find out that the smell was the garbage bag (as his mind let him believe out of relief) he was naively thanking his lucky stars it wasn't a body. He chalked it up to the rotting garbage in that moment. A semi- denial of the death smell...

I think SA is already laying the foundation that CA called the shots in the family. Something they asked the other day that I forget; and then today how he it was stated that CA was agitated at the Amscot.
