I can already hear Baez with his snarky tone asking, "And are you in the habit, Mr. Birch, of smelling decomposition and not calling the police?" Ugh! Baez really annoys me with his cluelessness - hope he also asks Birch if he knows how Caylee Marie was killed or if ICA tortured her. That would make my day!

JB is gonna want to know why SB left the car for normal processing, after he felt it smelled of decomp?

It is not his duty to follow up on something like that. For all he knows, the car previously DID involve a murder, suicide, anything.......not for him to determine or report.

Now if a body had been visible in the car....yes. Smell, no.

I really don't see how he can expect this to fly.

Caylee died while her life was still beautiful. Remember in her jail letters from Casey to Robyn:

I know everyone is wanting to know why he didn't call 911 when he smelled the human decomposition. He stated that he did not see anything from the windows that alerted him. He said the smell could be smelled from inside the car... not the trunk. If he has seen something that alerted him inside the car, he would have called police.

He did not know that a month later a little girl named Caylee Anthony would be reported missing and that the car that his company towed and that the Anthony's picked up on July 15th, 2008 was key evidence in a case of a murdered child.

He didn't do anything wrong.

I wanted to tel you guys that the thing about the cars being sealed and not really smelling bodys ,

I know for a fact it is false, I smelt a body from a car after 4 days from a half a block away ,in VA in July.

It was a guy who killed himslf in his car with the windows up and he sat there for 4 days until the lady at the gas station who at first thought it was trash firgured out something was dead and called. She never even saw the car.

Was he double bagged and in the trunk, then removed for a period of days? Just sayin..

Long ago we had a patient who had many necrotic (dead flesh) wounds that smelled very very bad. Her family opted to have nothing done as far as medical intervention (she was dying) so for several weeks we kept a pie tin of charcoal under her bed to cut down on the smell.

If the defence does a good job,they can take this witness and conform him.

He never directly said that car smelt liike it had a body it it . He said he smelt that before and made a funny face.

It is false you cans mell a body outside a car and he knows that, while he did not exaclty say you could he made it sound as if it was hard. the defence can expand on this and ask him if he had ever smelt a body that had been in a car for a month .

Dont get mad at me, but it can happen if Baez is on his game ,or a least part of some game but if he is scripted before the witness took the stand then he iis screwed he seems to have scripted things based of depos but it isnt working because people dont word things the same every time.

Probably..George went to the car with him, also noticed the smelled in the car and prayed that he would not find Casey or Caylee in the trunk.

Earlier this morning right before trial started I keep hearing a bird chirp under my house.

Could not figure out how he got there. Could not figure out how to get it out either. Momma bird in yard going crazy everytime the baby chirpped.

Finally baby got to a corner and I was able to take a vent off and get baby out. He and Mom have been feeding in front yard. I was so scared he was going to die under there.

And to think this is only a bird. And this evil woman killed her baby and let her body rot in the back of a car and threw her out like trash.

I don't think it will matter because from that point on the decomp smell was noticed by several others and again when GA picked up the car. He was probably a little uncertain what exactly he was smelling because car was sealed and no signs of a dead body inside.

IMO, the jury is gonna want to know why Simon Birch didn't call LE about the smell of human decomp. At first I had assumed Mr Birch thought the car stunk to high heaven, but didn't recognise it as human decomp. Apparently he did. Personally, if I knew the smell to be human decomp, I'd have at least called the police. Whatever the police did about it would've been up to them, but I'd have been able to sleep knowing I'd alerted them to the smell.

I thought he said when he looked in the car he didn't see anything unusual and that's why he just followed company procedure and towed the car.
