Respectfully In all fairness to Caylee IMO he tailored his experiment the way he did to help the defense mislead and confuse this jury.Diane Dimond on NG said it was insane what he did today comparing his experiment results when he did not replicate it ie blanket and plastic bags.

I understand and respect your point. I just find it hard to believe that he was intentionally trying to mislead. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I feel he was sincere. I think the case caused him to do his experiment which I'm sure he will use in future cases, and then JB took it from there. The doctor is young and naive and I believe was manipulated. MHOO.

But they never took the whole carpet piece out of the trunk, right? Just parts of it?

they removed the entire carpeted trunk liner with a cardboard/pressboard backing from the car entirely and took samples from that ....the samples are still in the cans (small pieces in cans) in the courtroom and the entire trunk liner is in the courtroom as well.....when Dr. H. examined the car the trunk liner had been removed for over 2 years ....he only saw empty metal and said it still had a smell....

I don't dislike him as much as most people seem to. He may have some info to offer IMO. I wish someone would do a long interview with him- he only ever gets to throw tiny bits and pieces out there. If I heard a long interview, I think I could either disregard everything he has to say or get an idea if half of what he says is true...

Well, he also said that LE knew where the baby was located, but couldn't go get the body because they learned the info by listening in on attny/client conversations. You should have seen the host and participants moving away from him so they wouldn't be hit by the incoming bomb.

Maybe. Caylee would have had to be removed from the trunk or put in trash bags fairly quickly after death otherwise wouldn't there have been more blow fly activity?

That has been testified to previously....the 2 garbage bags and laundry bag and trunk all created barriers to the flies getting to the body....JA asked Dr. H today if he felt his experiment in Nebraska with only 1 barrier (the trunk) was a fair and accurate representation of Caylee's body being wrapped in blanket, 2 plastic bags and polycoated canvas bag inside trunk....then JA asked why he didn't put his pig in a blanket....

Just got home from work and am watching the replay of JA's cross with the bug guy. OMG! How masterful!!

I agree! He was incredible. Excellent litigator who also understands the forensic evidence. The man has been doing this for 30 years but I am in awe at how quick he is on his feet so to speak. I posted a few pages back that after today I doubt Casey would be taking the stand. In fact I'm sure of it. Naturally this case generates a lot of emotion and passion because a small, beautiful, helpless toddler was murdered.

Here's what I think will happen and this will probably make a lot of you mad at me. I think CA will be convicted, but it will be a lesser charge and she will be sentenced to something like 25 to 30 years in prison. Don't know about Florida, but in OK a 30 year sentence is only about 10 years of actual prison time.

Fellow Okie here (Tulsa, Golden Hurricane fan)! While I agree with you on the abbreviation of actual time served here, I wonder if you think any jury in this state would let CA off with a conviction of a lesser charge?

I agree. The shows do that purposely to make an argument. Dr. Drew had him on with Mark Eiglarsh, some attorney who claims LP was hardly around the Anthony's. But Mark Eiglarsh was never around the Anthony's at all. He's just another lawyer with an opinion. They were all good fun though!

We'll never know one way or another. That is something that Casey will take to her grave with her, along with the "they haven't even found her clothes yet".

It's also probably why she showed no emotion the other day. Well, scratch that, she doesn't show any emotion for Caylee ever.

Right. That's why I don't think ICA forgot Caylee and hours later found her dead in the trunk. I think she was checking her frequently, excuse of going outside to use her phone, and it happened on the 16th. She found her very soon upon her dying thus little blowfly evidence. ICA put her somewhere else or wrapped Caylee's body very soon after death.

I thought there was only one garbage bag with garbage in the car.....I could be wrong. I believe they confirmed the garbage came from her boyfriend Tony Lazzaro's place. The opinion seems to be she was trying to mask the smell of the decomposition with the garbage bags in case she was ever confronted with it or when the car showed up.

I really appreciate your input but you are right, I would be deeply upset if Casey only spent 10 yrs in prison for murdering little Caylee, bagging her up and throwing her away like trash

If ICA got 30 years she would serve 25 1/2 years. 85 %

It was a half-filled (or less) white garbage bag of what I would consider recycling. Cans, paper packaging, plastic, etc. There were dumpsters/skips at TL's apartment located (iirc) in front of the apartment complex.

DT will state she meant to throw the trash into the dumpster but forgot.

Obviously many here (myself included) feel it was a cover for the smell.

Reminder: Tony Lazzaro testified 'the boys' usually took the trash out.
