MOO MOO MOO ...

BBM: I agree.

Ms. Fryer had a "lot of nerve" to stand at that podium this morning and "repeatedly" refer to Judge Strickland as a "disqualified" judge ! Just so "typical" of the DT to "confuse" the "facts" !

I think Ms. Fryer needs to know a "little something" about "ethics" and the "attorneys" she has been working with before she "throws stones" at Judge Strickland and the Court: :seeya:

Jose Baez should have been "disqualified" from practicing law a long, long time ago ! His handling and "performance" as an attorney has got to be one of the "lowest of the lows" ... Jose Baez is an attorney who has NO ETHICS ... his performance has been "unprofessional" and "unethical" ... And when will he be "sanctioned" ?:maddening:

I would like to ask Ms. Fryer if she "approves" of the "unethical tactics" that Jose used in his opening statements ? Does Ms. Fryer "approve" of ALL the "underhanded tactics" Jose engaged in when he took this case back in July 2008 through the trial and post trial ? Does Ms. Fryer "approve" of Jose trying to "sell" his client -- and HIMSELF -- by "living it up" in fancy hotels in New York City ? Does Ms. Fryer like being on a "team" where an attorney does NOT know procedure and the laws, and had to be "schooled" on just about every issue that came up before the Court ? I guess I could on and on ... but you know what I mean ...

Also, does Ms. Fryer "approve" of Mr. Mason "flipping his finger" at the cameras -- not once -- but twice ? :waitasec: Is that "nice behavior" for a so-called "respected" attorney like Mason ?

Yes Ms. Fryer ... you will learn a lot about "ethics" from the attorneys you are teamed up with -- it is called UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR -- and I hope it gets "SANCTIONED" by the Court and the Florida Bar !

In my opinion ... Ms. Fryer's "bashing" of the Court this morning was as "unethical" as Baez and Mason ...

MOO MOO MOO ...

I noticed HHJP used the proper term ,recused. I bet she noticed ,too.

So, if Judge Perry comes to the conclusion that he cannot make the felon do probation now, because her DT and the probation officer insist she has already done it...he can rule in favor of the DT on the probation issue and I will be just fine with it, as long as he adds to the ruling that those days that were credited toward probation in jail cannot also be credited toward time served on the lying charges.

Either it was 365 days of probation time, or it was 365 days of jail sentence time and, IMO, I think the judge would be within the law to say it cannot be BOTH.

I suspect the clerk who processed the order signed by JS, uses a saved form form letter and only types in the unique items.
Further more the order did not specify probation after release but neither did it specify probation during incarceration. The DOC took upon themselves to interpret this the way they saw fit , and who knows, might have even asked the DT team for clarification. Things are apparent very loosey goosey in FLA.
Bet it will change now after all this ruckus

Anytime the judge sentances the defendant to time served followed by probation, it is entered into the data base and is assigned a caseworker. The defendant must sign in with the caseworker within a specific amt of time. They all knew FCA wasn't going to be able to show up...perhaps they thought this would be an easy one ..either way things weren't done correctly.

TC, Robin

Is a disqualified judge like a non-chemist?

BBM: :great: Yes he did.

But I believe that Ms. Fryer -- considering who she is working with -- KNOWS Judge S "recused" himself ... But Ms. Fryer had to "PUSH IT" -- just like JB and CM do -- and that's what "gets me" ! :maddening:

Oh ... I just hope Judge Perry rules for probation -- in Orange County ... I would just love to see CFCA finally held "accountable for something" ... And I am sure it would put a big "damper" on JB's "interview deals" or "book deals" or whatever he has in mind to make "blood" $$$$$ ...

MOO ...

I have to admit ,I've quit hoping for anything. Even if he does require probation, they'll probably appeal to the FL Supreme Court and nothing will change any time soon.
CA and GA get one vacation after another ,just handed to them.JB is courted by the MSM with grand hotels and dinners .I have no doubt there are still deals being made and money changing hands.
How many lawyers showed up on Casey's behalf today OVER PROBATION?
Three? Four?
It's just easier now to assume everything will go her way.Maybe I'll be happily surprised. I doubt it.

Did I just hear the Anthony's are planning on launching their money-making scheme in honor of Caylee's birthday?

I wonder if that probation officer who saw her in jail thought she was being released. Where is the paperwork? I want to see the paperwork. Baez is certainly not releasing it; he gave one sentence. Why did only baez receive notice of termination?

There is no double jeopardy, Richard Herman. I can't take this much more. These talking heads are clueless

There really should be a smilie with it's head exploding.

AFAIK, I think mason is very well connected to the Florida Bar. Strickland reported Baez and it went nowhere.

The letter she got saying she had completed probation is posted somewhere on WS. I saw it, just cannot remember in which thread. I did not check to see who, if anyone, was cc'd.

Actually, now that I think about it, I believe I saw it is an attachment to the DT motion that was filed. But I still do not remember where it's posted.

I have a question. The DT admitted that they knew probation was being improperly applied. Could they face punishment for not reporting this?

Forgive me, but I just get a kick out of thinking of JB & CM picking up trash wearing their orange DOC vests for their safety. Do you think JB would alter his in order to wear a pocket square?

:floorlaugh:

Don't know about the pocket square, but, I'd give a weeks pay just to see your vision come true! This would be me watching----->:fence:

And "PUSH IT" she did, repeatedly! She is evidently good at "book learnin'" and a$$ kissin' the judge, but she's a very poor judge of character when it comes to interviewing prospective employers. Me thinks she's hitched her wagon to a falling star. (Star: Stars are big exploding balls of gas.) :twocents:

They're using the "Safety" issue as an excuse. I say, "So What?" All kinds of people are in jeopardy for defending and prosecuting every day of the week. I can't even tell you how much I can't stand mason and baez. They are a disgrace to the profession.

The public buys into this carp. We get it from the anthony family and the DT. They want to keep her worth up so there is money to be had. This system needs renovation. I was just as mad when Paris and lindsy were incarcerated. They should have been thrown in a cell just like anyone else. Why the special treatment? This nation is star-struck and the so-called stars are running our legal system. Forget all this special tx. Judge Perry should just speak out rule and not let these a-holes steer you.

They are worried for the felon's safety? If there was never any fuss about her, nobody knew her and a judge was just going by what what was in front of him on paper, he would see a felon thief who preys upon people both close to her, and when they aren't looking..he would also see a woman who was accused of killing her child. ...I hope that his/her first thought would concern the safety of the community. And, ya gotta admit, her record doesnt look so good if her name was Jane Jones.

Meanwhile CM makes threats on camera.

I know this is OT, but I still cannot believe this verdict. It has been three weeks and the shock has worn, but once in a while I will allow myself to think about the verdict and it is JUST BEYOND SHOCKING.

One wasn't shocked with John Gotti - we knew what was going on and oh ok, he got off again ...one of these days.

But this - this was an absolute kick in the stomach to pretty much everyone who watched. I myself had to sit down because I could not believe my ears. I just could not believe it.

BBM
Your John Gotti comment made me ask myself, "Why wasn't I interested enough to follow the Gotti case on a day to day basis?" He was an interesting fellow with an interesting lifestyle. My thought processes boiled it down to the people that died because of Gotti probably deserved it. Save the justice system the trouble and money…blah, blah, blah. And then Karma caught up with Mr. Gotti.

But this case, that beautiful little toddler with the big, brown inocent eyes, grabbed me at the start. Why did she have to die? Then, for 3 years, the whole cast of characters that Hollywood script writers couldn't compete with became the train wreck I couldn't look away from. Then, the verdict! Like you, I couldn't believe my ears…or my lying eyes! It felt like the wind was knocked out of me.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit it affected my own day to day life, but I don't think I'm alone in that assessment. I told myself to back off and forget it. What's done is done. And I did…for a few days. Then I found myself drifting back because my question hadn't been answered. "Why did she have to die?" I keep looking for the answer. And I want it to come from Casey Anthony herself, in spite of the fact that, as HHJS so rightly stated, "The truth and Ms. Anthony are strangers." I'm just not willing to reward FCA or her DT with my dollars to hear their version of "the truth". I believe someday, someway I'll find it here on WS from our WS "family". Thank you all for being here. :blowkiss:

HHJP questioned what their duty was to report and I believe that's one of the things he's researching. I'm not holding my breath, though.

I would not hold my breath either. Even Hornsby in one of the comments on his blog, answered they are not obligated to contact the Judge in such errors, in other words , he would not either in a similar situation. Guess that is stretching ethical behavior too much. Their loyalty is to their client, I suppose.
