2015.08.26 Jimmy Rodgers: Charged with Murder in the Second Degree

Did anyone actually see JR's self-proclaimed "hit-man" stuff on fb or something? I was wondering if it wasn't a pun, because he is a carpenter? Hit-man with hitting the hammer while building homes aka: ha-ha sounds funny if your not really in trouble in a murder investigation!

At some point somewhere, someone said JR presented himself as a "hitman".... Can't remember where I read it or who said it...... Probably another neighbour ...

I always figured that the "brother who was in FL graduating law school" referred to MS & his penchant for wanting to be a lawyer (as mentioned by a VI). I don't know if this was what CWW told JR when they were sitting around b.s.-ing or if JR was told this more directly but it doesn't matter much anyway. It just seemed too coincidental along with my personal observations of criminal types & their story-telling traits. If you tell a lot of stories, the truth & fantasy become blurred. And don't forget that these "birds" want to narcissistically "flock" together in their (uh hum) **accomplishments** like holding $200/hour jobs & being lawyers and such.
Reality is proving otherwise, of course.

Plain criminals....all of them.....moo.

His brother is really in law school, but only second year.

I'm not sure how Rodgers father's death is connected with this case.

Maybe some feel that his fathers death contributed to his criminal behavior. I'm not sure how that can be proven myself.

JMO.

Just another death in a long list of "unexpected" type deaths of family members of the main players in this case.

IMO if CWW didn't kill TS, he would have stayed in MO. Or did he come along for the ride simply to direct JW, navigate the route to Jarvis, perform some IT genius spell on the alarm system? Not sure. Why would the hypothetical middleman (CWW) go along with the hit man (JR) to do the hit?! The point of a middle man is to create distance between connection points, insert randomness to the crime. So, IMO CWW is not a middle man, or, JR is not a hit man.

Always possible CWW just isn't so smart.:jail:
JR got paid 10 G's for something, right? along with the animated meme on his Facebook which said "and she said what are you gonna do with that hammer", and of course his nickname "hammer", leads me to believe JR did the bludgeoning, but, she might have already been dead before he disfigured her. MS telling the LE to pay special attention to under her nails, cause she's a fighter, makes me think... He knew nothing would be there.

Oh, and didn't he confess to his girlfriend and tell her where his bloody
coveralls were buried? Of course they could've been CWW's, or, maybe more then one pair buried?

And moved from MO summer 2014, was probablyreally busy first year, especially in May 2015 during his (first) final exams. The timing of JR's brother moving on, literally and figuratively, with JR's release probably made him more vulnerable to CWW's influence, JMO.

From what I've read here, the $10k figure was reported to MSM by a friend of JR's gf. So, maybe JR told the gf who told the friend, or maybe JR didn't say anything and the gf was trying to impress her friend, or the friend is lying all together. We haven't heard that LE has evidence of payment, IIRC.

The meme, "and she said what are you gonna do with that hammer" I went back to the source and the meme states "what the ***k are you doing with that hammer" and if you google that phrase results show a few unfunny grandmother jokes.

here it is

It can't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, no. But this kind of traumatic past event, the sudden death of a parent or both parents, could be useful mitigation evidence for JR.

I guess a Lawyer could attempt to use his fathers death as mitigation.

It wouldn't work for me if I was a juror though. JMO

The federal custody data for Jimmy Rodgers gets updated as he is being processed and as the system S L O W L Y churns.
For the last 3 weeks, I’ve kept track of the changes to the BOP website for JR’s status.
I’m guessing that he’ll be arriving at his assigned facility by next week. It often takes a month or more.
The most recent update provides a Release Date of 02/22/2016.

If I was a defensive atty I would still attempt to throw it at the wall and see if it sticks

I'm reserving judgment, at least until the sun shines and we have more evidence before considering any mitigating factors.

'Some who knew him in Missouri say Rodgers claimed to be a hit man.'

"He always talked about how his favorite weapon was a hammer. He said it to me multiple times, 'My favorite weapon was a hammer,'" said Rodgers' neighbor.

JMO. Sounds like he was presenting his past as some tough guy, lying about why he did time in federal prison. I "was" a hit man; the feds are looking for me.

I find it a bit strange that Rodgers would claim that his favorite weapon is a hammer. How many "hit-men" use a hammer?

Maybe he watched "The Walking Dead", imprinted with Tyreese and his use of a hammer to smash zombie skulls. It works fine on slow moving zombies but isn't a very good weapon for a paid assassin. JMO

'Hammer'

Some who knew him in Missouri say Rodgers claimed to be a hit man.
Rodgers, who reportedly goes by the nickname 'Hammer,' made an initial appearance in federal court in St. Louis Wednesday afternoon.
"He always talked about how his favorite weapon was a hammer. He said it to me multiple times, 'My favorite weapon was a hammer,'" said Rodgers' neighbor.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office has remained very tight-lipped about the case, even refusing to say how Sievers was killed. But neighbors say they were told a hammer was involved.

IMO his whole facebook page was very ****gish. He seemed to fancy himself as the tough bad guy. And I also recall him being disrespectful to his girlfriend on his page.

Of course they would try to present any mitigating circumstance's that they could possibly get before the jury.

The death of a parent just wouldn't work for me.

Maybe JR was CWW's apprentice for being a hit man. Maybe CWW lured JR to FL then sprung the killing of TS on him at the very last second with a gun to his head and threats on his pregnant girlfriend?

I'm kind of hard core. There's not too many kinds of mitigating circumstances that would sway me as a juror.

In fact, I can't think of any right now.

JMO

Do we have screenshots of the disrespectful posts?
