Absolutely, though even if CA asked KC about this, she probably told her she was working FT and would want to claim Caylee herself for EIC help (even though CA is entitled to take Caylee in reality).....I hadn't thought that through before, but I'm sure KC would have wanted to pretend she had a return on which she could take Caylee, if nothing else but to back-up her "I have a job" story.
But CA/GA had to know she was not working....they must have just never pushed the issue? Dunno...

They never pushed any issue, IMO. They let her have her way so they wouldn't have to deal with her response. They ignored her pregnancy until they were forced by others to face it (she was 7 months pregnant and showing). they let her steal from them and her grandparents.. from her brother and his friends.. from her daughters piggie bank.

.....and they have unleashed a criminal into society! If anything went awry in that family, they got out their trusty broom to sweep it under the carpet (must be quite a heap under there)....Hence, this thread, SODDI, is a perfect fit for this perp's assertion that it could not have been her: Anytime anything goes wrong in that house, the finger is on the closest person who happens to be standing outside of their inner circle. And when all else fails, DENY DENY DENY....Yuck.
This is where JG comes into the picture in their minds, they have twisted it all around. They cannot push the issue with KC, so pile it onto JG, a "safe" person who already knows your quirks and may put up with it for love and care of the family.

I agree KC was not an escort or whatever. She may have entertained the idea, but I don't think she went quite that far. Besides, she likes an audience.

I do think she probably filled in at Fusian a few times. In some of her text messages she talks about "closing time" and "one table left" or something to that affect. She would be paid in cash and probably earn some good tips. It would provide some quick money other than what she could steal.

Very possible, in fact I recall a couple girls doing just that when I was KC's age. They forced the issue of parental control. Only these girls got pregnant to actually leave the family home whereas KC remained. What an ironic twist if KC got pregnant to get away from the controlling home only to discover she was even more tied to them now with a child.

It's entirely possible that both George and Cindy knew that Casey wasn't working since Caylee was born. They seem to put up a facade for the rest of the family, and it is possible that they just continued the fable that Casey started - She was working at Universal. The family seems to hold their cards close to the vest i.e. Caylee's impending birth - denied up until the last minute. It seems the important thing was putting up appearances. Casey told her friends she was enrolled in college, that she was working as an "event planner". Sounded good. If Casey decided to go shopping - she simply went shopping. I don't think they squawked a bit about her spending habits until she spent GrandPa's money. They were all busted by the family on that one. It couldn't be denied. I think Cindy blew a gasket on that one. Casey was outed. They all live in a world of denial. The Anthonys are ostriches.

Casey used the word "Nanny" instead of the word babysitter to keep up the appearance of class and wealth. She learned this from her parents. It started when she was much younger. She simply continued what she was taught - Keeping up appearances.

Now, Casey and the Anthonys are busted by the entire world. The rotten egg has cracked open and the smell has seeped out and contaminated all involved. They are no longer "special". They are as common as dandelions.

So many factors have been put into play over the years culminating in the death of a precious child. Who is responsible? They all contributed to this, each in his own way. And they are STILL trying to live the facade. They are all delusional.

If Cindy didn't push the issue, Casey would be dependent and Cindy would have the say/so over Caylee.

When Cindy and George were on the verge of divorce, it benefited Cindy to be one of the "girls" and take Casey's part and prevent snoopy "detective" George from investigating Casey's work situation.

George, who was on shaky ground himself for his own indiscretions, did not press investigating because he did not want to rile Cindy after she called off the divorce.

Casey did not work because one day she just did not feel like getting up and going in. So she didn't.

Casey sent herself fake e-mails, pretended to have a nanny and talked about work events to keep her parents off of her back and get Cindy to babysit when needed.

Weak and easy to disprove as Casey's lies were, they were enough for Casey's parents to glob onto. George and Cindy were both stressed from other problems and had something to gain by not looking too hard into Casey's stories.

She apparently took 6 months of maternity leave because she was not terminated until 2006 - many months after Caylee was born. Casey simply never went back to work.

How and when did her position as Camera Hut Girl morph into the Event Planner gig? Seems like that would be considered a promotion; something she'd be excited to tell her Mom and Dad about. Even celebrate! They really did have their heads in the sand...

Casey NEVER went back to work AFTER she had Caylee. The switch from Kodak to Colorvision happened during this time. Casey never attended the seminars for the transfer. They terminated Casey, for job abandonment in 06, as per Mike K. interview with LE.

It was very convenient of Caylee to have an accident the day after the "big fight" Just when the thought of spending another night under her mother's roof becomes unbearable and during the height of "new love", the problem of what to do with Caylee ceases to exist.

Also, IMO, the duct tape negates the accident possibility.

One of Casey's friends is an actual event planner. I think her friend told Casey all about her job and Casey just appropriated the details for her own "fantasy" job and built on it from there. I suppose she told her parents that when she went "back to work" her old position was no long available so she was moved into event planning. Why her parents would believe that when she doesn't have the education and certifications for event planning, I don't know. Maybe Casey claimed they were going to let her get her certificates after being put in the position.

Now, will someone please tell me how in the heck the Anthony's didn't know something was wrong with the Nanny story? The employees of Universal Studios Orlando get Child Care at Kindercare in their benefits package, there is backup childcare and even sick childcare benefits for the employees and in case they couldn't afford Child Care there is even a Dependent Care Assistance Program. I cannot believe that the Anthony's, who set up a Missing Child webpage BEFORE the police even arrived, were not smart enough to look up the benefits at Universal and realize that between the Nanny story and them having to babysit all the time something was wrong.
