I agree! The most reaction I saw from Jodi was when Dr. DeMarte was on the stand! The way she tried to block out Dr. DeMarte by ignoring her was very telling in my opinion. It seemed to me like she could not stand Dr.Demarte and disagreed with her evaluation of her. I think Dr.DeMarte is the witness Jodi disliked the most. Even more than Mimi and Deanna. :twocents:

I imagine you are quite correct. The murderer even got mad at her Da when he asked her if she ever thought that maybe she was bi-polar (police interview). I suspect anything that even suggests she has some kind of mental issue, would put her into quite the snit. Seems pretty odd to me Travis called her a sociopath and evil and 9 days later he was murdered.

I think her dislike for Dr. DeMarte goes a bit deeper, on a personal level. Dr. DeMarte was everything the murderer would never be and could not be manipulated whereas Samuels and ALV were like lambs being led to slaughter. I took great notice of Dr. DeMarte telling Ms. Wilmott she had no compassion, the worst thing she could have showed to the murderer was compassion. Still laughing about that exchange to this day. Have to give Sheriff Joe a hand - he handed Ms. Arias something she can't deal with for a minute.

What is that thing?

I wonder if she will be allowed to sit and color and pretend to ignore the speakers during the victim impact statements. Because that will be infuriating.

I cannot get over that interview. I think she likely had several half-baked motives in giving it, but I was especially struck by her mentioning her many supporters and how people ask for her autograph, etc. I think she is so genuinely grandiose that she felt obligated to speak out and share her very important musings with us all. I think she felt it was expected. Her mask of relative sanity has been slipping for years and I think during that interview, it hit the floor.

I believe that Travis did not ask for the death penalty and yet JA in 2 minutes gave him just that. Yet his justice still lies in her control; how is that right? I believe that the Alexander family has at times wondered how they will go on, and have cried themselves to sleep. Yet JA can provide an interview following her conviction to his murder, and distract from the Justice for Travis.

Life with out parole can not be an option for JA because she will never allow the Alexander family to rest. Even if she gets the death penalty, she will make it as difficult as possible with multiple appeals, etc. This is her way of showing the Alexander family how she was able to control another situation, and guess what, she did just that.

The Alexander family has to play by the defense rules, and it is unfortunate that even after she is convicted, she can still manipulate the system as though it owes her justice. I really wish now that she has been convicted they could bring her up on slander charges, or do something to stop her from trashing him. So sad.

BBM.

How many of you feel as I do, that this trashing of Travis and some of her other DT moves have less to do with her trial and more to do with hurting his family? In retribution for them refusing her plea and going forward for the death penalty?

If I had to use one example and one only, it would be the pedo/spiderman underpants claim. That was directly tied to the picture of Travis as a young boy with his father. There is no way that this is coincidental.

She threatened to inflict maximum damage if her plea was not accepted and this has played out in court, albeit not to the magnitude expected.

I'm confused as to whether or not any of her post-murder inflicted pain can be used in the victim impact statements. She has not stopped. So many of the things that we recoil at, such as the 18 page letter to his grandmother, are important elements of how cruel, calculating and without conscience this woman is, but they may be outside of the scope of what is allowable in the victim impact statement.

We've seen Juror 5 and now 8 has spoken out a little bit, but I've been wondering about Juror 11, the Hispanic one. What's he doing? Was it ever confirmed that he was at court for the verdict?

Have they spoken since the verdict? Anyone have links? TIA.

Oh she made a comment in the interview that she knew what happened, really? I thought she didn't know what happened, I thought she was in a fog? hummm.. which is it?

Hearing "guilty" 1st degree murder shocked her back to reality and removed the fog! At that point it was, "rut-roh"!

Jodi's mother probably wasn't allowed in to see Jodi at the Psych Ward yesterday because Jodi herself refused the visit. If she was just on suicide watch she would still be allowed to see her mother.

I really gotta tell you, I am loving Arpaio this morning.. I think it is the first time someone shoved her words back at her and held her accountable for them. He nailed this. She is in a psych ward and was refused visitors including her mother. This is not what she thought would happen. She thought she could say whatever she wanted and run the show but she is not her own anymore.. She belongs to Arpaio now.. And he is showing her that her nonsense will not fly. I don't believe she is suicidal at all. I believe she is Homicidal through and through. She is fine with hurting others but would never be hurt herself..

Good for you Arpaio!!

It has to be pizzing Jodi off royally that she is not in charge any more. Someone else is calling the shots, and Jodi has no control. I'm sure that she is positively seething and will probably "lose it" within the next couple of days. :moo:

That's not going to happen, she is the most watched convicted prisoner in the world right now. However, something very telling is this; When Troy Hayden was talking about his interview with Jodi, he said that he didn't find out the interview was actually going to happen until right after the verdict was read. He said she told him prior to the interview that she would only talk to him if it was a 1st Degree Murder verdict. Why is that? Don't you think if that's the only reason she would do the interview, she had a reason? Of course she did!! I think she had already decided to drop the 'suicide' card in this interview. She knew the consequences if she indicated she wanted to die, and wanted the death penalty. In fact, on the stand she testified that she never mentioned suicide before, because she knew she would be put in a 'padded cell'. She had this all planned. She is a conniving manipulator, and I think she planned this would happen so she could further torture the Alexander family, and prolong the inevitable. But even more than this, I think she may hope that she can still cause a mis-trial and disrupt the whole proceedings to come. Sorry Jodi - it ain't gonna happen!

^ BBM above: Do we know the date/time Jodi contacted Troy about the interview? Why I ask is because I'd like to know if she was back at the jail, using a phone there or if the call/message to him was left while she was at the courthouse. Just curious...

Her supporters don't seem like the kind of people anyone with sense would want backing them... Nope.

Some tweets by Troy Hayden/ his supporters (he's kinda being called all kinds of things on twitter)

WHY choose to give the interview the day before yesterday? Why couldn't Jodi wait till she was on the stand again pleading for her life? After being found guilty I think wanted the focus on her the way she wanted to. "You can talk about me, but it will be on MY terms."

What a manipulative coldhearted woman. SMH.

The Alexander family said they will give interviews after sentencing. We'll know their feelings by the appearances - or lack thereof - on Fox News and/or its affiliates. :twocents:

Not that it really matters about what she will wear in court during these last two phases..and I can't find the link to the comments and I will keep looking for it.

However, Yesterday afternoon, While JVM was standing outside, waiting for the Cruelty Phase to begin, she was talking to the Sheriff's Deputy, Sargent Spokesperson, was saying.. JA was brought to the courthouse, in a different vehicle then everyone else ( the Psych Ward/Jail that she was transfer to the night before. She didn't have to sit there all day.
She was kept in a special room, and that, she would be dressing in street clothes, that was being brought to her. This deputy also said, something to the effect, of the "prejudicial" thing. She would be in street clothes until her sentence.
Then I saw the postings that Beth Karas said she would be in jailhouse garb.
Personally I don't think what happened Yesterday had anything to do with her manner of dress.
When I worked in an ER, and we would get psych patients in, and we sent them to other mental hospitals, they would be on a 72 hour observation. I have a feeling, that this is what happened yesterday. Since they put her on a Suicide Protocol, they would have to wait until her evaluation is completed.
I can just hear her rage, before they brought her up, then when they got her, in that room that she has to sit in.
She may have not wanted her DT anymore.
Even tho, we don't know for sure, Just some thoughts to ponder.

I totally agree.

I am more and more convinced now she had a freak out. It all is adding up now. If she was told she had to go into courtroom in prison stripes, she probably started freaking and saying "There is no way I am going in that courtroom like this". Then JSS called her into her chambers to try to convince her and lets hope she threw even a more tantrum and maybe got ZAPPED. I am sure the bailiff was warned to be ready with the zapper yesterday.

OR
Maybe she sat down and refused to go into the courtroom. Then the bailiff tried to escort her and maybe she flailed her arms and maybe he had to Body Slam her.

JA plan backfired. She never realized her actions with the interview would throw her in the looney bin. Now she has nothing and has no CONTROL.

She is beginning to realize very quickly that she has a lot less rights than before. She is CONVICTED already.

It sounds like there were few witnesses, so im not sure how we will ever get to hear the true story of what went down, but I sure want details, and I WANT THEM NOW!!! :floorlaugh:

AFAIK it was planned well in advance, but was confirmed to take place upon conviction, on Sunday.

Is there a way we could find out if JA has access to a TV? She might not be liking what most people are saying. Maybe she was thinkin' her fan base was larger.

Schuby, you should know who this is, then. Or does he have friends that you don't know about? <gasp> You know what Jodi would recommend if that's the case. How good are you at hacking emails?

Don't you just have to hit backspace a few times???:floorlaugh:

I can guarantee you, if people didn't watch it, they wouldn't air it. It's a self-feeding proposition.

Television is not a public service, it's all about ratings. There's nothing particulary wrong with this reporter and this TV station, they did what reporters and TV stations do.

(I talked to someone on a plane who runs a major network news web site. He said that while it's sad that an article about a Kardasian gets ten times the amount of clicks as budget talks, they count those clicks and that determines their content. I have not clicked on any stupid celebrity "news" since)

But...the trial ISN'T OVER! A juror wouldn't have been allowed to have been interviewed, neither should she.:banghead:

She left the voicemail on Sunday... so at the jail.
