On their way out after the verdict. They went up first, then down. Just the way the elevator was going on that they jumped on. No one else got in though.

Amazing! I will be very interested to see how Juan reacts to this once everything is over. I know he has the opportunity to become a superstar and a celebrity, but something tells me he may shy away from that in the end, and just go back to doing what he is so passionate about - seeking justice!

Thank you KCL for your dedication and devotion to this trial. I lived in fairly close proximity to where the crime took place back in 2008, and even though I am no longer in AZ (sadly), this case has always hit home with me. You've been an incredible advocate to the family for all of us who couldn't be there!

Cheers!

All it means is that, since 1930, they haven't sent any women to death row until the last 15-20 years.

I don't have the article to cite, but I was reading about Arizona DP. Before 2007 (? but recently) judges handed down the DP. SCOTUS ruled juries had to do that.

The number of death sentences is several times higher when left up to juries than when judges decided.

Which I thought was interesting. maybe since judges see so much, something really had to be over the top for them to consider death. Juries, not so much.

I saw it...revolting. There's a guy who is still tightly wrapped around JA's little finger.

She spent FIVE days with him. He looks like he does not get sleepovers with females very often. He's probably grateful. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

.....Help! CAN I post a small part of a blog here? Dr. Lillian Glass? What are the rules on quoting?

It's apparent that SheDevil is using reverse psychology in her statement about wanting the DP. She loves herself far too much to actually want to die. Hopefully she gets the DP, as she deserves. All the talk about sitting in that cell for 12 years, while I like the thought of Jodi living in a 12x7 and getting only 3 showers a week, spending a vast majority of her time murmuring to herself 'How am I going to do my make up now, Jodi, gosh!', for over a decade, it doesn't necessarily have to be that long that she resides in those luxurious conditions. She can prove at least one truth out of her viscious mouth, and that is to petition to suspend her appeals and thus having a death date set sooner rather than later, if she truly does want to be released from the madness that is her mind.

Same here. At the very least he'll get a pleasant phone call. Hopefully a personal visit.

I'm not going to be able to get this person out of my head until I see the Twitter account deactivated.

He's probably full of crap and an attention-seeker, but, you just don't know.

Was that went they hung that woman and her head rolled in front of the spectators.

Reading the law on the books it seems the State has a very clear case for proving its basis for seeking the death penalty. I can't see the jury reaching any other conclusion, based on the law alone.

Arizona Capital Sentencing Guide

TY. So many things fit.

"Mental anguish includes a victim's contemplation of his or her ultimate fate" + "helplessness" are both shown in that last pic of Travis alive, folded up uncomfortably on the shower floor under obvious duress imo. I don't know what weapon she was holding but I think she was brandishing one and telling him exactly what was coming and why.

You guys got Dr. DeMarte!

We fortunately will get another dose of Dr. Horn. Women are "dying" to see him! :drumroll:

Nope. Dr. DeMarte was too young and not my type. :floorlaugh:

Judge S., on the other hand, is dreeeammmmy.

Just re-posting some FYI and some other "things":
Statute of Limitations for Wrongful Death Suits:
Within 2 years AFTER the death w/o criminal prosecution
Within 1 year AFTER a verdict of "Guilty" is found by the court.
Son of Sam Law is in Arizona, but many attorneys feel it lacks the "teeth" to be effective. Wrongful Death will go after monies acquired from JA's "Celebrity Status" which will encompass proceeds from donations, artwork, monies put on her commissary account, etc.

It's a given JA doesn't smoke because Joe's jails are "smoke free" and tobacco is considered "contraband".

The Fox interview was in the Courthouse basement, so she would have been required to be in her striped pants (they don't have pockets).

JA will not be a "Mormon" for long. She will be receiving a visit from the local church authorities soon about her pending excommunication. She is now a convicted felon......that is immediate grounds for excommunication. I have always known it to be a face to face communication, but I kind of think the Church will just send her a letter. For all her so-called knowledge of the church, I guess she didn't get the memo.

It was weird watching parts of her "after verdict" interview. I realized why it was so weird because my dad was/is BPD and a Sociopath. Cut him out of my life 20 years ago. He used the "we" term when talking about things that were just really him, would say something you had to wonder if it was just a comment or something dripping with sarcasm, could NEVER take responsibility for anything, and would minimize his behavior by putting the blame on others. He's a master manipulator until you figure out what he is. He really had some whoppers when it came to playing the pity card. Uck! And the "persecution" card is a biggie. And after a while, I think he truly believed what he was saying. Or maybe not. You can never tell.

Just pray you never run into one of these types. You walk away feeling like you've been "slimed", for lack of a better word.

And did ya see what happened to the lady they executed in the 1920's?

The executioner didn't do the calculations on the rope length correctly -

When they dropped her from the gallows, she was immediately decapitated and her head rolled out into the spectator section!

  :hills:

Will she be in jail garb and shackled in court? Today
So they traded zzzzzapper for the shackles.

I'd like to see her wheeled in on a dolly in the standup position ALA Hannibal Lector to include face mask.
