I think we should put Jodi Arias and Ariel Castro in an enclosed space together for eternity.

Before her arrest and during her interrogation Jodi seemed obsessed with Travis's family. Asking Flores about them, "crying" about things they will miss out on, questions on if Flores told them about her arrest, how often he speaks to them...sending 18 page letters and of course the flowers...

Now she cannot deal with seeing them speak to her in person about what she did to him?

She does not want to be aware that they (Travis's family members) are looking squarely at her nor does she want to hear anything they have say, especially regarding pedophilia or abuse. This is a no win for the murderer, if she sits and colors, the jury will think the very worst, if she looks and smirks or is defiant, same result. If she had her way, they would not be allowed to speak at all. I am hoping the judge can bring herself to make the murderer deal face to face with what she inflicted. This family deserves the ability to address this murderer face to face.

Wouldn't the attorney for the Alexander's have KNOWN when and if the statute had run out?

P.S. My computer was behaving very wonky around page 3. I could not bring up any WS pages :scared: :scared: making sure it's working right now.

No...and someone has put the statute link and text up.
Limitation of 2 years from death or 1 year from guilty verdict in criminal case.

Some TH attorney said last night that Arizona does allow a convicted murderer to waive mitigation. However, psych eval is mandatory and the "waiver process is complex".

This sounds most reasonable to me. There is no way she wants to face Travis's family and friends in the mitigation phase. What is she going to say? You didn't know him like I did, he was a piece of dirt, he was into little boys, he abused me. She knows that she has to apologize and show remorse to have any shot at not getting the death penalty, and YES she would rather die than ever apologize to them.

Sounds like JA went bonkers.....armed guards, family hoping jury didn't see then the comment wow!
Appears some family members saw a side of JA they had never seen....

Travis' family have been a class act. They have conducted themselves in a very respectful manner. Why would Jodi think they would do otherwise when they give their victim's statement? Jodi must really have a high opinion of herself. It's not like they called the local station to make plans for an interview if she got less than 1st Degree like some other unnamed person we know.

Just how much more outrageous can she get?! I have to admit that I am as enthralled by the seemingly unending antics of JA, however, at this point I really think the best thing to do is shut down any and all attention on her. I mean, could you imagine if all media outlets completely ignored her?! What a message - you are nothing, Jodi, we really don't care.

Of course, it won't happen but it would probably be a bigger punishment than death because she's such an attention addict. Cold turkey can't come soon enough for this girl.

You are so right about that. I'm sure she can't understand why The Alexander's just don't 'get over it'

Well, she told det. Flores their pain would be 'temporary'.

I guess she thinks 5 years is long enough for them to get it!

looks like Jodi's manipulation skills have worked again in her favor...............

..................for today.

crazy is as crazy does.

Yes, for today. But in the long run, this will be as effective as her defense was. We have the conviction - don't lose sight of that.

Suicide is not a joke but JA has made it into one.

respectfully sniped

She is the most repulsive 'thing' I've ever seen. I cant bring myself to call her a human being.

BBM - she and her legal team have also made a joke of PTSD and DV - tell me you are not surprised by this. :seeya:

Oh that's right. KCL said Jodi wasn't there today.

So what could the family not wanted the jury to see??? Was the jury in today? They probably mean outside the courtroom since they don't have hearings with the jury present. Sounds like it IS something they wanted the jury to see. Mom is still looking for ways to get a new jury or something like that.

Maybe the videos of yesterday were discussed and the family was hoping the jury didn't see those?

Media said deputies were in and out of court room - then Arias family comes out and says they hope the jurors didn't "see that" and the Alexander family comes out surrounded by 5 deputies?

An eyewitness on HLN said the Arias family had no one to escort them out.
Another eyewitness said the Alexander family had 5 deputies.
Did Jodi say something threatening concerning the Alexanders? Or, are they always escorted in and out?

:bump:
(My quotes are messed up so this is a downward kinda bump....seems fitting though :floorlaugh:

Thought I’d put together a ‘feel better’ post about the vile JA and her unrepentant interviews. Just to confirm, her snotty mouth earned her suicide protocol. She’s now silent until she’s off “suicide protocol.”

http://www.fox19.com/story/22200427/mcso-arias-placed-on-suicide-watch
Arias did an interview with KSAZ-TV following Wednesday's verdict and, according to MCSO, "in light of some of her statements during the interview, Arias was brought to jail and per Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, was placed on suicide protocol."
MCSO said until she is taken off suicide watch, she will not be allowed to give any interviews.

So … In addition to the yoga mat dresses, thought you all might enjoy this description of Suicide Watch from Wikipedia:

Suicide watch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
“Inmates are often placed naked in suicide cells, which are usually bare concrete, often without bedding (to prevent hanging by using bed sheets), and under frequent or continuous observation by guards. Unsanitary conditions are also common since toilet paper, underwear, and tampons (all potential means of choking) are restricted.”

And here’s the reality, from Maricopa County:

http://www.mcso.org/JailInformation/CustodySupport/Default.aspx?t=AncillaryServices
The Medical Services Section is located at the Lower Buckeye Jail, and is licensed by the State of Arizona. It is comprised of (MY NOTE: ARGH! “IT COMPRISES,” DARN IT!!!) a 60 bed inmate infirmary, a fully staffed Medical Clinic, and a 268 bed Psychiatric Unit.

http://www.mcso.org/JailInformation/LowerBuckeye.aspx
The Lower Buckeye Jail was opened in April 2005 and is the largest detention facility in Arizona. Its design is based on Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s “no frills” philosophy, and provides safety and security for staff and inmates.

http://www.thefreelibrary.com/A+Rx+...lities+into+a+detention+facility.-a0221023127
Three of the psychiatric housing units treat adult males, two are for the treatment of adult females and one is for juveniles…..

… Beds are 19 inches from the floor, so if an inmate has a seizure or an allergic reaction to medication, he or she will not fall far. Beds are made of concrete, with solid platforms to the floor to reduce the number of injuries and to prevent inmates from hiding or becoming stuck beneath the beds…

Each room/cell was designed for specific types of behavioral and psychological problems. Suicide prevention observation cells have showers inside, and the majority of the cells are single-occupancy. Double-occupancy cells were designed so a nonsuicidal inmate can help watch an inmate who may be suicidal. To aid in suicide prevention, there are no columns to block staff visibility. Also, there are cameras in each of the rooms, and three officers in each house monitor activity in the cells.

Hope this info makes y’all feel better.

Dr Drew thinks JA is truly mentally ill and isn't manipulating because he thinks the medical professionals are somehow able to not just detect lies and manipulation but have the legal authority to chose what to believe (aka she MUST be mental or else they wouldn't admit her) It's pretty obvious that these people can't chose to ignore her threats because of liability etc but Dr Drew is taking her psych ward vacation as an indicator she isn't lying/manipulating this time around. Just bullocks

Yeah, Dr. D wants to be able to "fix" Jodi. He thinks he can sit down and give her therapy and she will be all better. Sure Dr. D. Didn't you have a few of your patients kill themselves?

Jodi is safer without Dr. D's help. :floorlaugh:
