Perhaps totally unrelated, but (former) Limestone Co. Sheriff Mike Blakely was convicted of felony theft and felony ethics charges in August 2021 and sentenced to 36 months in jail.
He's out on appeal.

Judge Baschab sentenced Blakely to 36 consecutive months of jail time followed by 2 years of unsupervised probation [the 2 yes probation was revoked the the judge]. He must also pay court costs and fees applied in this case.

Blakely's attorneys immediately filed an appeal, and Blakely is now out on a $50,000 appeal bond.

U.S. Marshals identify vehicle driven by Casey White and Vicky White; reveal Vicky White aliases

VW apparently was using an alias to purchase the vehicle.
"On the alert notice for the vehicle, Marshals reveal Vicky White has two aliases: April Davis and Renee Marie Maxwell."

News reports described Vicky as flush with cash from the sale, but Frances White said she spent years socking away cash and would have plenty of it on hand.

“She had money before she sold her home,” Frances White told The Daily Beast. “She saved her money. I figure if she’s still got her money, she’s still got enough to live on for a while.”

I didn’t see in the article where it said she used an alias to purchase the vehicle, just that she had aliases. Maybe I overlooked it.

From CNN, some information about VW and CW's "relationship". It was not romantic.

"(CNN)A missing Alabama corrections official accused of helping a murder defendant escape from jail last week had a nonphysical "special relationship" with him that included allowing him privileges while incarcerated, a sheriff said Tuesday."

"We have confirmed through independent sources and other means that there was in fact a relationship between Casey White and Vicky White outside of her normal work hours -- not physical contact, but a relationship of a different nature," Singleton said.
"We were told Casey White got special privileges and was treated differently while in the facility than the other inmates," Singleton said"

I wondered if that was why he used the word “special.” Maybe she had a weird mother-son thing going that filled a void for never having children. And she was risking everything to save him.

And also, as I’ve said before, maybe there is some type of relation between them that was never disclosed and kept on the down low.

IIRC, he has been reported to have white supremacist tattoos so that would likely be the group he would affiliate himself with in prison. I'm wondering if they have documentation of these attacks or if he's just saying they happened.
With the current track record, for all we know, VW reported the shank attacks, supplied the extra details regarding the unsolved murder, and orchestrated the entire prisoner transport scheme, all under the guise of her normal “ Director of Corrections “ job title, it is not improbable…

This is odd. Perhaps CW and VW knew each other from before somehow?

Seems the Unclassified/Law Enforcement Sensitive version of the poster was released in error and has now been edited to remove VW's AKAs and re-released ... Kind of a S*!* show, but maybe easier to find them with the confirmed car description . . . even if they've ditched that one, finding it or getting CCTV from service stations etc will give some clarity as to where they have been ... kind of a noticeable car, giant man and short woman with a 'waddling gait' . . . Moo

He's over a foot taller than her. I can't for the life of me see her escorting him out of jail and nobody thinking she might need assistance. It's nuts.
We have had ladies half HER size on our PERT teams that could take down much bigger men than him.... I am just saying, don't be fooled by the size difference.

Well, the shank attacks CW complained of allegedly happened at the prison, not the county jail, so I don't think VW could have done anything more than give him the idea to use that excuse in his request. She wouldn't have much, if any pull at the prison but I don't doubt she did help with all things Lauderdale County based.

This is why I was asking if Lauderdale was a rural county. In small rural areas it isn't uncommon for people to know each other or at least know OF each other. I live in a small rural county and there aren't many strangers. Everyone knows someone who knows someone, if that makes sense.
