1:37 p.m.: State Senator Figures and Alabama state Rep. Napoleon Bracy are currently being briefed by chief DA investigator.
1:36 p.m.: Rich concluded the conference. After Rich's brief comments, Sen. Figures said she is glad Rich is holding press conferences to keep charge of information.
1:34 p.m.: Rich declined to comment on if the father of Hiawayi Robinson, Hiawatha Robinson, was a person of interest or suspect in the case. She also declined to say if anyone was home when the search warrant was issued.
1:33 p.m.: "This is very much an ongoing investigation being worked daily and this is just one of the things we are doing as part of our investigation," Rich said.
1:31 p.m.: Rich said she wanted to make sure "the rumor mill didn't get rampant" as far as the activities that occurred today.
1:20 p.m.: Mobile County District Attorney Ashley Rich said a search warrant was issued for the home of the father of Hiawayi Robinson in Prichard and his girlfriend's home in Semmes.

This home on Winchester Drive North in Semmes was one of two residences where police executed search warrants Thursday in connection with the homicide of Hiawayi Robinson of Prichard.

Yeah, someone on Twitter mentioned the Semmes house was purchased with cash in 2011.

I haven't heard any of the rumors either so this is totally news to me. I will say though, if he did have something to do with it, her body being staged as a sexual assault makes perfect sense.
 
Robinson said he doesn’t know why the FBI busted down his door.

“The point I don’t understand… They came and bust my door up but they could have called me.

They’ve been calling me to open the house up for them and everything. All they had to do was call me. I would have opened the house up for them they don’t have to come do what that did. Any question they asked me I answered it, anything they wanted for me I give it to them. I just want to know why they busted the door open,” he added.

He said he didn’t think authorities took anything from the house. He said he does have a copy of the search warrant, but at the time had not looked at it yet.

Robinson said if it weren’t for his friends and family, he doesn’t know what would be going on with him. He said they are all standing behind him 100 percent.

I am running out the door but I really want to pull out his past interviews because I remember inconsistencies in them as well. [ confusion about whether he said he had talked to his girl that day or not]

Anyway, first thing that comes to mind is why wouldn't he look at the search warrant first thing? He says he doesn't know why they came a knockin, yet he doesn't look at the paper they gave him that explains it?
