First of all I would like to say hello and let you know a little about myself. I am from northwest Alabama, but now live about 45 minutes east of Birmingham, AL. I have been coming to this site for many years trying to keep up with certain cases. I never registered until about the middle of July this year. That was about a week after I came across Brittney's case and the arrest of the other family members. Now having said all that, I would like to explain why that was important to me. In north AL from west to east, all TV coverage comes out of Huntsville, AL, there are of course some local newspapers. The next TV coverage starts in the central part of AL and is covered by Birmingham, AL, then Montgomery, then Mobile. They each cover their area from one side of the state to the other. Until I found the articles here, I had no idea about BW missing or the other RELATED cases. I keep up with the news from Huntsville and Birmingham. Even now, NOTHING is being covered on these cases from either Birmingham or Huntsville. I was OUTRAGED by this, I even contacted friends and family from both areas just to make sure I had not missed something and no one had heard of BW missing or of the others.
So even though everyone here thinks this is getting national coverage, I wanted you all to know that it isn't even getting state wide coverage. I post everything I can on my fb about it, ie links. It breaks my heart for her family and friends to not even be represented throughout their state. Birmingham is a major interstate city, I65, I20, I59...in other words if you were coming from Mobile north, you would more than likely go through Birmingham.
Sorry for the long post and I hope it makes sense. I would also like to thank everyone here, not just for this thread, but for all the wonderful threads on so many other cases.
