I've just posted a separate thread about a new Discovery + special titled The Cleveland Kidnappings, if anyone is interested!
Fox 8 News will air a series of stories marking the 10th anniversary of the rescue of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, who escaped a decade of captivity on May 6, 2013.
Berry helps find missing persons on Fox 8 and believes it’s her calling.
DeJesus has opened the Cleveland Family Center to help families of missing people.
Knight, now known as Lily Rose Lee, runs a non-profit animal rescue from her home.
The fourth person rescued that day was Amanda’s daughter, Jocelyn, who is now 16.

So hard to believe it's been a decade. I remember us all glued to that first thread, the interviews with Ramsey, the subsequent facts that came out about the girls' ordeal. It was just all so shocking. How was it possible this went on for years beneath everyone's noses? That sense of incredulity.I was going to post this but imstilla.grandma, you beat me to it!
It’s crazy to think it’s been ten years already! I remember seeing the videos of Charles Ramsey’s interview being shown as among the popular videos being watched on YouTube on their homepage back in May 2013, and then watching Michelle Knights first interview with Dr. Phil in November 2013!
I’m interested in hearing about Amanda’s relationship with her daughter! I wonder if Jocelyn has read Amanda and Gina’s book Hope: A Memoir of Survival in Cleveland yet? I had a thought this morning that as much as Amanda wrote the book to tell her story (just as Gina wrote it for the same reason) I wonder if Amanda also wrote it for her daughter as well. I know some individuals who like to pit the three of them against each other (Amanda and Gina against Michelle), saying Michelle suffered the most etc. have reviewed Amanda and Gina’s book and claimed that Amanda made it seem like her ordeal wasn’t as bad because she doesn’t go into overly graphic detail about the abuse. I wonder if the reason Amanda and Gina’s book wasn’t graphically detailed was because Amanda wanted it to be a book Jocelyn could read when she’s older and she wanted to protect Jocelyn’s feelings about her dad. In any case, we do know that there are things that Amanda and Gina didn’t write about in the book because they were too painful (they said this in an interview when their book first came out in 2015). For the record, I absolutely respect the fact that Amanda and Gina chose how detailed they wanted to be in the book and matters such as that and I found their book to be very very well-written and compelling! I would highly recommend it!
I also wonder whether Jocelyn ever asks about Lily (aka Michelle Knight)? I don’t get the impression her and Lily were close as Lily was locked in her room and by herself so much, but I could be totally wrong.
Finally, it appears that Lily’s organization called “Lily’s Ray of Hope” no longer exists. There’s no webpage for it and she hasn’t talked about it since her interview with 20/20 back in January 2020. Now it appears she runs an animal shelter instead. I hope the money donated for “Lily’s Ray of Hope” has been repurposed for this Animal shelter. I have to wonder if “Lily’s Ray of Hope” went under because of Covid.
