I have got to go to bed after this last post...

Partly because I am tired...

And partly becuase I am getting slap happy...

The items CW claimed his wife packed before she supposedly "walked away from her home and family".... if it weren't so big a part of this tragic, frustrating situation.. would be incredibly funny!

Imagine... you (or your wife) were leaving for good...and all you (or she) took were::

-dresses
-4 pairs of shoes
-phone charger... but no phone
-digital camera
-No hygiene items
-no car

This would be laughable... if it wasn't a made up story from a husband who as done absolutely nothing to help find his missing wife, and mother of his young child!:what:

I think we're supposed to picture her walking down the road, wearing one of her nice dresses, rolling her suitcase ... one that's filled with shoes. It reminds me of Drew Peterson's last wife ... apparently all she took with her was a bathing suit.

I can't believe the police aren't interested in helping.

Seems like a country music video!

Yep- that only happens in music videos...

All MOO...

I am so frustrated that LE seem to be doing nothing about this. In all other investigations the people closest to the missing person are investigated thoroughly, especially if they were the last to see them. Instead, the local LE seem to have taken the word of her (soon to be ex) husband, who also happened to be the last person to see her, who has stated his wife left on foot with a random assortment of belongings (NONE OF WHICH EVEN MAKE SENSE). And no questions have been raised even though no one has heard from her since.

I don't really know where they think she was heading with a few dresses, 4 pairs of shoes, a digital camera (WTF?), and a phone charger. She didn't even have her phone on her, do they believe she was in such a rush that she forgot to take her phone... even though she somehow remembered the camera (which doesn't even make sense)? And if no one has heard from her in 2 weeks, where do they think she is? Hiding with someone that absolutely not a single one of her friends or family have ever met (or even heard of)? How did she get there? She didn't have a car, and there's likely no footage of her getting on any form of public transport (if this has even been looked into).

I just can't even wrap my head around this. Most other jurisdictions would be investigating this SO THOROUGHLY because the story DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE... but local LE here don't see anything wrong?

The mind boggles.

ETA: This whole story and lack of LE involvement seems like something the media would absolutely snap up... why are they not all over this one?

I'm seriously doubting the husband's story. I've looked through many of Lisa's pictures, and it doesn't appear that dresses are her choice of daily wear. I didn't see one picture of her wearing a dress. Not to say that she never wears dresses, but it seems very odd that she would only take dresses with her when it appears she prefers pants/jeans/shorts and shirts as daily wear. Now, why would he claim she only took dresses with her? :waitasec:

Is there any independent confirmation that his truck was stuck in a ditch? Has Lisa's mother talked to CW's mother to find out what time the baby was dropped off?

BBM: If you think about it in reverse (i.e. these are things that the perp had to account for that he got rid of), that's just downright creepy.

Good morning, friends! As I mentioned last night, I am only an hour from the Eufaula area, in Dothan, Alabama. This is the closest media outlet to there. My husband is friends with the editor of our local paper, The Dothan Eagle, and I have contacted him this morning to see if he had heard of this story. I'm waiting on a reply and will let you know!

ETA; I just thought what it reminds me of... these supposedly packed items reminds me of what someone would have in his/her bag coming home from a "Scavenger Hunt"...

Just a group of random and bizarre items!!

Sorry... I am REALLY off to bed now! :seeya:

IF these are the items she really took, then this says to me there is a serious psychological or mental problem going on. These are not the things a normal woman would take if packing to leave. I think we all agree on that.

Aside from that, what husband would KNOW how many pairs of shoes or dresses his wife had, and the exact number that were missing? Does he take inventory of her closet frequently? My husband would not recognize half the clothes or shoes I have in my closet because they're not things I wear all the time.

I agree with everybody, his story just doesn't make sense and sounds too contrived. I can't understand why LE wouldn't pick up on that and realize there is something seriously wrong here.

Thank you soooooo much!!!

do we know if lisa was taking any medications? Did she take those with her?

What has her husband been doing the last 2 weeks? Staying in the family home, going to work, out partying?

He knows what happened to Lisa and someone NEEDS to make him talk!! C'mon LE get off your butts and start investigating, NOW!!

Has anybody put up missing posters?

Thank you soooooo much!!!

I hope I can get her some attention! I will say that these small towns are so "political", it's ridiculous. And I'm including my own town in that statement. So it will not surprise me if this is being kept on the "downlow". (Think "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" style.... )

I pray Lisa is safe, but I fear she is not.

Very good point. Why would he have to get rid of a bunch of dresses and shoes? Maybe something happened in her closet.

The camera might have evidence on it for a custody battle.

The phone charger? Cannot figure that one out.

You are so right about "small town politics". Eufaula is a beautiful little town with lots and lots of historic homes (some of Katie Couric's relatives lived there at one time). I don't think the town would like their "reputation" tarnished so therefore "bad things" might be ignored or put on the back burner until its forgotten about. JMO

I live in a very small town in a very rural county. The scariest thing I ever heard was our County Sheriff saying, "It can and does happen here." I know that took guts to say, but 'IT' can happen anywhere.

I totally agree!!

I wonder if she had a special event coming up. I can envision a woman post pregnancy taking her dresses and shoes out of the closet and laying them on the bed (or somewhere) to try on and see what still fits and/or looks the best. That seems like the most logical scenario. Then something happened and the dresses were stained and/or used to wrap up a body.

I'm sorry, but his description of what she packed is WAYY hinky. Oh, and I wonder how big the suitcase was.

Since the husband doesn't mention packing a suitcase, I'm guessing that she supposedly tied everything up to the end of a stick and wandered away like the littlest hobo.

Last night, I read the 2020 development plan for the town. Two K9 dogs were added to the force in about 2008, as was a communications officer. Has anyone tried contacting the communications officer? Additionally, one of the objectives was to strengthen community involvement and relationships ... the city councillors are the people that are fulfilling those objectives. Someone should contact the councillor in charge of that neighborhood and ask for involvement such as ground searches.
