The gun was already loaded with the live bullet when she gave it to AD as far as I can tell. Why didn't she found it when she gave the gun to AD?

Distraction. Time pressure. Fatigue.

As for the latter, she was acclimated to living at 500 feet above sea level. The location is at 7000. Trust me, it makes a difference.

Alec Baldwin looks haggard with huge bags under his eyes as he steps out in NYC | Daily Mail Online

"Alec Baldwin looked bedraggled and exhausted, with pillowy bags under his eyes and day-old grey stubble on his chin, when he stepped out in New York City on Wednesday to have breakfast with a friend, two days after being filmed clashing with a reporter outside Woody Allen's home.

Baldwin, 63, appeared careworn and walked with a slight stoop as he met up with a mustachioed male companion sporting a man-bun for coffee in the Greenwich Village section of Manhattan.

The one-time Hollywood leading man donned a dark-colored suit jacket, mismatched rumpled pants, an untucked blue button-down shirt and a black scarf coiled nonchalantly around his neck. Despite the morning chill, he carried his coat slung over his arm."

IMO, Thell should be careful with saying there is motive for sabotage, when he is also saying his daughter was complaining about conditions on set. Motive, method, opportunity…

From the article: The former stuntman and his lawyer echoed how they believe sabotage could be at play. "A lot of motive there," Thell alleged.

Father of 'Rust' armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed says she 'complained' about two jobs on set

Right? I mean, seriously, Thell. He also seems to imply that the live ammo came onto the set through the props department and was handled and put into the gun by the very person hired to make sure nothing like that happened (his daughter).

Her interview on the google podcast "Voices of the West" really makes it sound as if he's somewhat estranged from her or at least doubted her abilities and she was pretty much unable to say what exactly she had learned from him, despite multiple prompts from the hosts. This was about a month before the production of Rust started.

It's a good listen if you're familiar with guns, as when she proudly mentions her newly found ability to realize how the Colt advances a bullet, you will likely either feel your heart sink or roll your eyes.

Rust cast members write open letter saying production was "professional:"

‘Rust’ Cast and Crew Dispute Set Reports in Letter – The Hollywood Reporter

Let's be clear - it was not all the cast and crew. And I do understand that these young people want to work in Hollywood.

Precisely. It would be interesting to see how the happy/unhappy split correlates to years of experience.

In other news, in the corner of my screen is running the NY Post/Fox news summary of the incident. With lots of shots of the wrong kind of revolver.

This is soooo disgusting. Obviously, AB's interview last week, the letter that was released from the crew on AB's IG and the show tonight are all part of a carefully crafted PR campaign. The 2 guys in this interview signed the crew letter that AB released. How low is too low for this guy?

ETA, I forgot the award show he did last night.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Inside the fatal "Rust" film set shooting

From the AP:

SANTA FE – The assistant director who handed Alec Baldwin a prop gun that killed a cinematographer on a New Mexico film set must make himself available for an interview with state workplace safety regulators, a judge has decided.

State District Judge Bryan Biedscheid on Friday granted a request by the Occupational Health and Safety Bureau of the state Environment Department to issue a subpoena to Dave Halls, assistant director for the movie “Rust,” local news outlets reported.

...

Safety officials tried twice since Nov. 2 to interview Halls for their investigation but he declined both times through his attorney and said he wouldn’t agree to an interview until a criminal investigation into the shooting is complete, a compliance officer wrote Wednesday in an affidavit in support of the subpoena request.

The interview with Halls is needed because he had responsibilities for set safety, knew who was present during the shooting and had handled the gun, the application said.

I wonder how a criminal investigation can be 'complete', if witnesses on scene won't speak to investigators?
ETA: Sorry, my error, there is nothing to say that DH was not speaking to LE investigators. TY to DI_Isokawa for pointing out my error.
