Britney didn't do too well in court Thursday--she just doesn't get it, and I don't think she will change. Too bad. I think her two little boys are absolutely beautiful.

Britney -- Worst. Witness. Ever.

TMZ has learned Britney Spears had quite the interaction today with L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon, and she dug a hole deeper than a Louisiana swamp.

We're told Spears had a back and forth with the Commish that lasted approximately 40 minutes. She constantly interrupted him and at times was extremely sarcastic....More at link

Commish to Brit -- Nighttime Is the Right Time

Britney Spears will get one overnight visit with her kids per week -- at least for now.

L.A. County Court Commissioner Scott Gordon partially accepted her lawyer's plea to give Spears monitored overnight visitation. Spears, who was in court, was sworn in as the afternoon hearing began. She testified, but we don't know what she said.

Spears left the courtroom visibly upset. The overnight visits will be monitored. The parties have not reached an agreement on choosing a different monitor than the one who is already in place...More at link

She is used to getting her own way with everything and being told YES YES YES!! Sorry, Brit. Welcome to the real world.

Thank God someone is looking out for those boys.

I don't buy the first TMZ article at all. I have read so many other contradicting ones. Additionally, I would find it hard to believe that a judge would grant her even 1 night if she truly behaved that way in his courtroom.

Yeah, the article I read said she spoke quitely and acted respectful. Who knows!!?

Britney Spears attended a custody hearing Thursday, addressed the judge in a "soft and respectful voice," and finally got some good news: she may now have overnight visits with her sons.

Why was she granted anything when she showed up for court five hours late???? That just irritates crap out of me.

She wasn't required to be there. Her attorneys asked her to come later after they talked to KFed's attorney and worked out a deal. They asked her to come when they presented the deal to the judge.

From what I read...it is the Oct 22nd or 23rd? meeting that both are required to be there.

I may be wrong, but I thought that Britney's attorneys asked the judge for an emergency hearing (separate from the above) so that she could beg for more visitation. Then she didn't show up. She requested the hearing, so she should have been there.

Maybe her attorney thinks he can do a better job without her! :o  You know she has a way of digging herself deeper these days.:hand:

Here's what I found....
Before Spears appeared, L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon had tentatively rejected the overnight request, though he had asked both sides to confer privately. Spears then showed up at the courthouse. (Neither side was required to be there. Federline did not attend)

Thanks! I agree she probably would do better elsewhere!

Well, JMHO, but she should have been there. I can't imagine NOT going to a hearing re: the welfare of my children.

Of course, I wouldn't have had my children removed from my care in the first place.

An easy answer to your question is because she is Britney Spears that is why! She is walking around laughing and smiling for the cameras because she knows in the end she will get what she wants. Unlike us little people if we did half of what she is accused of doing we might as well kiss our babies good bye for life.. It is irritating & if she gets 2 & 3 & 4 chances then we all should but we won't & she will & that's just the way it is.
