Dr Watson, "left inner chest wall" could the hemorrhage there be from resuscitation attempts?
Theoretically possible, but highly unlikely. To get bruising like that from resuscitation, you'd normally find some rib fractures to go with it - and there were none. And it would not have been as subtle as was found either - CPR bruising is usually pretty florid.
Also its position - it was to the left of the sternum, on the anterior (i.e. front) chest wall. CPR if done forcefully enough to cause bruising like that, would have been on both sides of the sternum, as the sternum gets depressed with each "pump" - that's how it works.
