But where did the sex game gone wrong theory come from?

Unlike the US, where no motive is required, Italian prosecutors are expected to conjecture a motive. The first prosecutor conjectured one idea, the second one another. Conjecture about motive is not evidence, it's a vehicle to present the evidence.

If they'd had confirmation about the prank, perhaps prosecutors would have conjectured a motive around a Halloween Prank, similar to the 2007 April Fool's Day Prank.

sollacio should have left Italy before the verdict was read. it sounds like a nightmare. I don't understand, RG's dna was on MK. From what little I know, it would seem, RG broke in, raped MK , killed and robbed her.
RG is saying RS and AK were there. Yet I don't believe RC and AK had ever even seen RG before. How could the 3 of them suddenly become murder conspirators? If AK and RS were there as RG says they were, why didn't they go to the police and tell what they knew about RG, rather than accusing Lambucco? AK dna was on the knife but I believe it was a knife used in the kitchen and it would be understandable that AK handled the knife from being in he kitchen. I'm leaning to not guilty. AK acted strange after but I think it was from getting high on drugs.

So should she be convicted because she is white and pretty? They already let her out. Sounds to me like they have a mess of case.
They have a guy in prison with strong evidence against him.
I don't think they have anything beyond a reasonable doubt when it comes to her.

BBM: Clarifying this statement :

- Knox has already been convicted of murder by the Trial Court in Italy in 2009.

- This conviction was upheld by the Appellate Court yesterday.

Additionally:

- Knox was convicted of "calunnia" by the Trial Court, and this conviction was upheld by BOTH the Appellate and the Supreme Court of Italy. This charge was for accusing an INNOCENT man of murder when she KNEW he was NOT involved in the murder. The time served was applied to this charge.

- This "calunnia" conviction will never go away and will forever remain on her record.

- Also, she owes Mr. Lumumba money for wrongfully accusing him of murder, which Knox has not paid one penny to this innocent man.

In summary, she IS a "convicted felon" . . . and that is not going to change.

There was no where for Sollecito to hide. He tried to marry a woman in Idaho, but that fell through. Rumor from that woman is that he also tried to get Knox to marry him, but she refused. He had another woman in Australia, and another yet in the Dominican Republic. His real girlfriend was with him when he was caught at the Austrian border. Setting up shop in the DR didn't pan out. Setting up a business in Switzerland didn't pan out either, as he was required to leave for falsifying documents about his criminal activity history.

It was safer for Knox to accuse Lambucco (should be Diya Patrick Lumumba) and hope that she was released before the truth was discovered. If she had accused Guede, then all three would have gone down. By keeping silent about the involvement of each other, they hoped to minimize the consequences.

When you think about the timeline here, Travis Alexander was killed in 2008 and Arias didn't go to trial until 2013. This case was actually started much sooner.

:seeya: Good point ... It took almost 5 years to get to Trial in Arizona -- whereas Knox's case took only 2 years to go to Trial in Italy.

Can you state the motive from this time?

The sex game gone wrong theory was created out of thin air, is the new theory any different?

Since it appears that the only answer you will get is "motive isn't needed" or something along those lines, I figured I would answer for you. This time around the motive was because of an arguement over an unflushed toilet. No need to read that twice as it does in fact say an unflushed toilet. So RG goes to the bathroom, doesn't flush, Meredith scolds Amanda because her "guest" (RG) didn't flush, Amanda gets upset about it and has RG kill Meredith while she and RS hold Meredith down.

Sounds like a reasonable motive, doesn't it?!? :banghead:

Interesting thing about this case is how quick the argument about what Steve Moore said about the case is turned into an attack on Moore as a person.

Any student of formal logic should recognize the fallacy of this line of argument.

Exactly. Thank you for the straight forward facts.

It's also true that Knox's 26 year sentence was extended to 28 years and 6 months due to accusing Patrick of murder for the sole purpose of taking the spotlight off her and intentionally interfering with the murder investigation.

I cannot imagine the outrage Lumumba must feel after what she put him through.

ask lumumba why he lied about firing amanda... double standard?

and it was the police who arrested him w/ no evidence and then held him for 14 days before they bothered to confirm his alibi.

Also, the bloody scene in the bathroom, and Amanda's blood mixed with Meredith's. That didn't come from her period, what a crock!!!

there was no mixed blood:

Doesn't Amanda Knox now register as a sex offender? The crime for which she is convicted included sex crimes.

But where did the sex game gone wrong theory come from?

JMO ... but I think the evidence led the investigators to this "theory" ...

It is "chilling" to even think what Meredith went through that night ...

:rose: May she R.I.P.

By that definition of a crime scene, Jason Young is innocent as there is no evidence in the bedroom to suggest that he is responsible for the murder of his wife. All the evidence at the hotel, and in his car should be excluded, and his odd behavior should be overlooked.

Why is there a double standard such that one definition of a crime scene is promoted for one murder, and a different definition of a crime scene, or location for collecting relevant evidence, is promoted for another murder?

a child who witnessed the murder and a home computer aren't evidence at the crime scene? i know neither were gathered from the hotel or a vehicle...

Day care worker Ashley Palmatier provided dramatic testimony, demonstrating what Young's daughter, now 7, did and said after the killing, using dolls: "While she was hitting the doll she said mommy's getting a spanking for biting and when she laid the doll down she said mommy has boo boos all over, red stuff all over."

A forensic computer examiner testified that "head, blow and knockout" were found to be search terms used on Young's home computer.

Retired FBI Steve Moore and his wife are long time Friends of Amanda and are in the public eye and associated with this case. Steve Moore is one of the authors of the 80 page book that was compiled by Wright and released on Tuesday.

As a spokesperson for Amanda Knox and Friends of Amanda, is it unreasonable to expect an on the level report of the facts? I had seen his name before, but I had never read or heard anything of his. To be honest, I was shocked, as I had mistakenly given him a lot of credit on the basis of his former career.

What fallacy in formal logic is in play?
This isn't about shooting the messenger. This is about seeing, for the first time, one of the most outspoken persons associated with Knox, and being stunned. I look forward to seeing an interview with retired Judge Heavey; another outspoken Friend of Amanda.

BBM: Knox herself ADMITTED to her blood being in the bathroom ... she "claimed" that "maybe" she bled because she had just had her "ears pierced" ...

Okay ...

I just wonder if there is any proven evidence that the 4 of them knew each other. I wonder too if RG sold drugs. Maybe RS bought some drugs from RG and RG wanted his money and AK and RS didn't have it, so they sent him to MK apt, knowing she had the $300. I just question, how did 3 people who didn't know each other, decide to kill MK? But then again, there is proven DNA evidence RG had sex with MK. So it looks more like a break in, rape, murder and robbery.

Knox was a server at La Chic. Meredith was at the club one night and was mixing mojitos. Patrick, the owner, was impressed. He offered Meredith a job on the spot, but she was in Perugia to study. Knox, as a server, was flirting with the customers and was consequently demoted to handing out flyers.

Knox met Sollecito at a music concert and he was at La Chic that night with some friends. Knox was flirting with him and went home with him when she got off work.

Any thoughts on why Steve Moore did not do some homework and discover that Callan is a lawyer, not a NY detective? Any thoughts on why Steve Moore claims that Knox was tortured for 53 hours prior to falsely accusing Mr Lumumba of murder? We know that Knox arrived at the police station at about 11PM on Nov 4 and that she signed the statement at 1:30AM Nov 5. We also know that the signed statement was excluded from the trial proceedings. Why is Steve Moore so confused about this? Why does Steve Moore claim that he attended the trial when he doesn't speak Italian and was in Perugia for only a couple of days? Did anything odd happen in the courtroom when he attended court on those one or two days with his wife? Any thoughts on why Steve Moore states that Knox confessed when it's a well known fact that she accused another man of murder, which is significantly different than a confession? Is it acceptable for the a retired FBI person to skew the facts?

http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/be...ial.&primaryType=video&sortBy=date&intl=false

Well obviously the 53 hours of torture without food and drink still has to be told because it paints a much prettier picture than that of AK accusing an innocent man of murder in under 2 hours of questioning. Which she then went on to confirm hours later all on her own.

I've been doing some reading on Mignini. So his conviction of abuse of power was overturned because the wrong jurisdiction tried him? That sounds much different than what has been described before. It was made to sound like Mignini did nothing wrong, that he should have been found not guilty instead of what really happened. It's to bad that the proper jurisdiction has not yet decided to re-file the charges.

MOO

I don't think so. My guess is that she would only have to register if she were a sex offender in the US.

A few months ago a pedophile and sex offender in Canada removed his ankle bracelet and fled to Seattle. The Canadian manhunt was called off, and extradition was not requested. Seattle authorities refused to recognize him as a sex offender because he had not committed any crimes in the US. Within the week, he committed a sex offense against a young male. As a US citizen, the Canadians decided to let Seattle keep him. There is an arrest warrant for him in the event he attempts to enter Canada. He is now a registered sex offender in the US.
