it's my understanding the mother lost custody years ago and had no interaction with Audrii. Why is her friend making a statement like she knew the child? So odd.......
Maybe the friend did know the child. Lots of people have mutual friends of ex spouses ,baby daddies ,sister's brother's best friends mother's, etc..etc..

There are a few things in the video that were not in previous videos by KTRK (ABC13).

Jessica Willey, Reporter with KTRK (ABC13) was "live" in Livingston tonight.

On Tuesday night, the community held a private prayer vigil at the Livingston VFW Post.

ABC13 also learned on Tuesday that McDougal was seen at a mechanic shop near Highway 59 in Livingston the day Audrii went missing. Workers at the shop told Eyewitness News off camera that McDougal was there trying to get a part for his blue Chevy Suburban, adding that he was filthy, covered in dirt, and acting suspicious.

KPRC 2 reporter Deven Clarke spoke with attorney Ed McClees about what the next steps in that legal process will be.

“Capital murder, think of it as murder ‘plus’.” McClees says. “It’s an intentional and knowing killing that has another aggravating factor associated with it. Those are all listed in the statute.”

Factors can include the victim’s age or whether the murder happened during the course of a kidnapping or a sexual assault. Right now, investigators say those details and other evidence are still being collected and examined to determine whether prosecutors will seek the death penalty.

BBM Why was he allowed anywhere near their child, let alone living there? He looks scary and has at least 1 assault charge that we know about
Exactly! So many people (parents) have such poor judgement and nobody is there to monitor. There should be some way to identify bad people and with a record.

This little girl never had a shot.
We don’t even need to discuss the choices of adults in her life. We all know.
She made it to 11 years with no mom and was still the sweet girl who petted dogs on her way to the bus.
I take heart in two things
One, this is about to be among the most moving funerals we’ve ever seen, this will be at 9/11 levels. Thousands of LE are preparing, and
He chose to do this in Texas. I love Texas for many reasons, one of which is decisiveness. This will be decided by judge or jury, expediently. Bye, Don Steven.

You can be assured Andy Kahan will be successful with bipartisan unanimous support to enact the law - Audrii Cunningham Act. You can click on his name (below) and it will take you to his page.

Andy Kahan, Director of Victim Services and Advocacy - Houston Crime Stoppers -- Houston, Texas posted the following on his public Facebook page:

Next Legislative Session which begins in 2025, I will be asking for Legislative support to pass a Bill titled the Audrii Cunningham Act which will add offenders convicted of ENTICING a CHILD to the Sex Offender Registry
I expect bi-partisan unanimous support to enact this law.
