Do you think some evidence, etc. was put in the Amscot dumpster?

It is possible she did not put the car at the Amscott. Maybe a friend of hers borrowed the car and ditched it at that spot. Maybe she had a friend bring it to that spot and instructed the friend to leave the keys, purse, etc. in the vehicle. Possibly she was coming back to get the car and it got towed before she got there? If she was hoping for the vehicle to be stolen, I would park it in a more obvious spot. I would park in the middle of the parking lot! Maybe a friend stole the vehicle from her and parked it there....and why would they take evidence with them (her purse, keys, etc)

Sh called Tony from Amscott, and told him the car had broken down, and she needed a ride. She was waiting at Amscott for him.

Remember what Cindy said would be the best method of retrieving info from the daughter? "put the fear of God into her". (snipped)

I thought that her friend RYAN made this statement?

Yes, it was Ryan.

It is late... and I am thinking about some very basic things...
Someone other then Casey must know what happened to this child.
What I keep thinking about is how heavy "dead weight" is, and Casey is a tiny woman.
I have a 3 year old son. He is 34 pounds, and I am a bigger woman. If I carry him to his bed when he falls asleep, he is very heavy. If she did move Caylee...it would not have been graceful...that is why I don't think she is out in the woods somewhere, too far away to carry her...unless she had help.
Any thoughts...

I am 5'7", 125#, and in pretty god condition. I don't think I could do it, unless I was pretty adrenalin-buzzed.

The answers are in the 400 page docs. But, the car was not backed into the space. It was front end in. It was parked near the dumpster. The dumpster is surrounded by a fence and a gate.
I don't know if Caylee A could lift 35 lbs up and over her head to the dumpster.
The car was picked up by towing company June 30. It was there a couple of days before that. It is noted in 400 page doc that the clerical staff at Amscot noticed that car had not been moved.

As for what Leonard P said on NG tonight, I think he said, a dumpster near TonE L apartment, maybe 1 1/2 miles. ?? Unsure if he said miles or blocks.

He said miles.

Cindy said "Maybe someone put a body in the car after it was towed to the tow yard."

Um, so is it safe to assume that someone saw Casey's car, put a body in the trunk of this random car, a car that just HAPPENS to be a key point in a missing child case...then decided to come back and remove it? Is that what Cindy is claiming could be a possibility? :waitasec:

Yep. This is after George said maybe KC accidently killed and animal with her car, and put it in the trunk. And, last night on NG, someone said that maybe someone else used her computer to do the chloroform searches.

Everybody did it BUT Casey.

The Amscot was only 2.5 miles away from TonE's apartment.

I haven't read this entire thread yet. It is almost too much to keep up with considering all the threads, but I can't help but chime in now and again.

My opinions:

1. Car left by dumpster to mask smell.
2. Keys and purse a "lure" to get someone to steal car, which helps explain how smell got into car once (or if) it is recovered at some point.
3. No one helped push the car, she backed it in.

Questions/observations:

1. If two guys did help push the car, can't the police simply dust the hood or truck for palm/hand/finger prints? I'm sure they have done this.

2. Were there any cameras in the area which may have captured her backing it into the parking space and/or tossing something (i.e., smelly clothes, etc) into the dumpster?

I agree with all above and would like to add to the "lure" would be the choice of Amscot (a check cashing place). Some people who use Amscot don't have regular bank accounts (for whatever reason) and go into Amscot to cash their checks. Others go into Amscot to get advances on their next paycheck, etc. It would be a good place to dump a car with the purse invitingly on the front seat (imo).

On the "out of gas" issue: do we know the car was even out of gas? People in the Anthony family (including Casey, I think) have said that she often ran out or there was a gauge problem. So she told TL it was either out of gas or broken down at the Amscot. It was towed from there, which didn't use gas. The documents (police reports and interview summaries) say that GA looked into the car at the impound lot; saw that the gas gauge was on empty; and immediately went to his car and brought out the gas cans. It doesn't say he ever tried to start it. It was just presumed OOG. All this is to make this car dumping appear to be normal and innocent, and they are trying way too hard. Throw in the detailed, gratuitous lies to TL when he picked her up and later inquired about the car and it just gets worse. Casey just plain old had to get rid of the decomp smelling car, and left it by a dumpster to mask the smell. That is behavior that suggests guilt. Plus, it looks as if the purse left in the car was a "decoy" purse.

These are some good ideas but the key was not in the car. Thats what stumped me because why would she leave her purse but not the key?

I don't know how tall Casey is? Maybe it is recorded somehwere. The dumpsters where I live are quite tall, just wondering how she managed to put Caylee in the dumpster. Again, I don't know how much Caylee weighed but I imagine somewhere in the ballpark of 30 or more pounds. I'm 5'4" and I know I would not be able to haul a small 30 lb body into a tall dumpster. Do you think she had an accomplice? Also, according to LP, he said the car was there at 7:00 a.m. according to the store clerk. Anthony L says he picked her up late morning and she had groceries. She also said the car was broke down. After he went on vac, he called her and asked about the car? Why would he ask about the car? Did you catch that she made up an elaborate story about the dealership where the car was and the names of the mechanics who worked on it?

I think the last part of your post is very telling about KC: "she made up an elaborate story about the dealership....the names of the mechanics who worked on it." I can't remember where, but I recall reading something about pathological liars: that they add in all kinds of specifics to make their lie more believable and thus, less apt to be questioned.
For example, I have taken my car for repair and maintenance at the same place for probably ten yrs. I know the name of the older gent who owns the shop, but have no idea who ever works on my car.
I wonder if KC thought that by the specifics of her lies that no one would question her, or follow up on what she said. You have to admit, on the first night, she gave names of co workers, and the name of her supervisor right off the bat, and even led the police very purposefully into a building and down the hallway, just like it was no big thing, before turning and saying, "I really don't work here." Either she has a huge pair of balls to do that, or there is something else: like a history of telling such lies to her parents and friends and having them believe her.
I may be babbling here and not make my point very well. Trying to apply rational train of thoughts to someone with deep pathology makes my head spin.

Mr. Birch is the facility manager of wrecker yard. Mr. Birch recalled seeing the white Pontiac inside of 7777 Narcossee Road for several weeks. There is a high turnover of cars at the lot, so Mr. Birch became curious when the white Pontiac was still there after a few weeks. Mr. Birch walked over to the white Pontiac to look the car over and immediately smelled a foul odor.

Okay, here's a question. If Mr. B smelled the odor from outside of the car, did anyone talk to the person or persons who actually were driving the truck that towed it in originally? I'd really like to know if it had an odor at the time it was towed.

Does anyone know:
If car was locked? If car wasn't locked then next important question is: If car has the automatic/manual trunk opener inside?

If car wasn't locked and this model has inside automatic or manual trunk opener then prosecution would have a HUGE problem to proof that nobody had open (and used!) the trunk since June 26/27 until time CA/GA get it back.

I strongly believe that if body not found, the November trial would be heavily based on Casey's behavior as the fundamental evidence and forensics trunk discoveries as the supportive/circumstantial evidence. Like I said before, the Trunk is the 'Pandora Box', the strongest and weakest evidence for prosecution case.

If this has been asked or addressed, my apologies.....

IIRC, the tow owner said GA unlocked the car, looked at the gas gauge and then came back with gas.

Did he start the car? My car can have a full tank of gas, but when it is off, the needle on the gas gauge is on E.

Anyone know if he started the car to get a true reading of the gas gauge before adding gas?

The person towing the car had a cold and was not able to smell ANYTHING that day according to the documents. That's where Cindy's lies (or "mistruths") come in. She says that the car didn't have an odor until after it was towed. We don't know that. The guy had a cold.

Newbie here. It would depend on the type of dumpster. I don't think Casey is strong enough to lift 30-35 lbs. up to put Caylee's body in a top loading dumpster. Do you guys? If the dumpster is the type with the doors on the sides, she may have been able to. I don't think we know what type of dumpster is at the Amscot bldg.

JMO.
I think we're not giving her enough credit. I just called my two teenage daughters into the room and asked them to lift a new 40lb sack of dog food over their heads, both could do it. My girls are both about 5'7 and 120-127lbs. If they can do this don't you guys think Casey could lift Caylee?
