Has this case made us all crazy?
*Yes.
Has this case made us all crazy?
ITA, especially after the Baez team hears how well it wasn't received. I definitely think her hair will definitely be down next time and probably a blouse/shirt instead.
This whole thread is about her appearance.Uh Oh! Because we are instructed not to talk of her appearance, etc., which I respectfully disagree, as it is indicative of the usual sham of a Defense strategy, & should be duly noted, in order to keep our eye on the REAL victim here, Caylee.

The problem is that people aren't discussing her appearance they are just hurling insults. There is a huge difference. Tom's Girl and Patty spend most of the day today deleting posts that are just snarky and rude.
An actual discussion about her appearance is more than welcome, we just haven't seen many and it gets even worse during hearings and appearances.
People can discuss her appearance and its relevancy to the case. but what we see primarily is "she eats too much commissary food because she is a pig and she is so ugly" and then it moves right into her menstrual cycle.
LOL!! I've been predicting the Sunday school dress. maybe she is too old for that look though - considering the pics that are bound to be shown at trial.

But how one chooses to dress for court is one of their actions.
I have been to court and I was totally amazed at the people going in with their pants below their butts, dirty t shirts ,unkempt hair, and provocative clothing. It seemed as though none of them had any respect for the authority and seriousness of the courtroom. I am not saying that clothes make the person, but clothes definitely reflect attitude towards authority and illustrate just how seriously one takes their circumstances.
right on the moneyI don't think the mods have a problem with posters discussing casey's appearance as it relates to something relevant to her case, her guilt, innocence, her defense, how she is feeling, anything, really. The problem the mods seem to have, which I understand, is when people start saying things meant to insult her looks or appearnace in general. Think of school yard taunts that children get in trouble for saying at school and I think that's the jist of what we are not to do here.

Butwhatif, I dont' understand what you are saying??
I think Casey's matronly appearance in court will work against her. She looks phony and, IMO, just like many other women who are serving time. I think she'd be better off presenting a young, fresh, and innocent look (as if). No one wants to send their own daughter to prison for life.
Sorry coco it is basic defense strategy and I don't think it is a waste at all to discuss defense strategies.i agree with you but what i'm saying is, until casey has the choice of what to wear from her own clothes, it's a waste of time to discuss what she's wearing.
everyone knows JB is trying to represent her in a different light than what we have judged her to be in those party photos. we all know he's trying to create a false persona...i can't remember the exact quote or who said it but it was something like; "you can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig"
He needs to make sure she wears her glasses next time. Perhaps a pencil stuck in the bun (like chopsticks) would also help with the studious, lawyerly look that they are so clearly trying to create.
healthy discussions and bashfest insultathons are worlds apart. It would naturally go there, but I adhere to your logic & feel other ill-fated comments do not provide insight into the Real problems of this woman. I do feel that a Healthy discussion pro or con as to her histionics, as they affect this case, are necessary to arrive at a Defense or a Prosecutionary theory.
IMHO
I think Jose getting her in court with the librarian/ ready for church look, and without the cuffs and shackles was doing his client a disservice.
It was all about public perception, and the public knows this is not who KC really is.She has lied about everything. Pretending to be someone she is not, is another lie.
Secondly, we know that her appearance matters to her alot, so it would have been a step toward change if we saw her arriving in the jail garb she wore when she was dragged into the last motions hearing.
JB's motion asking that KC not be forced to attend because the public focuses too much on her appearance, is laughable when he clearly sees her appearance as important since he brought her a conservative outfit.
But if she stuck to wearing the jail issued clothing, there would be no media frenzy or discussions on forums about what she was wearing, and it would show the public that her appearance is not her priority.
So I dont believe it was well thought out by her attys, or herself if they want to gain some a better public perception of her.
I know I was thinking "WTH? her daughter is dead, and her dad just tried to kill himself, and she still cares about how she looks!"
If we saw her arrive with tousled hair, scrubs and looking dishevelled, it would show she is losing sleep over this.
Her unaffectedness is one of the things that frustrate us the most. She doesnt care about losing her child,:furious: but still cares about looking good for the cameras and getting the chance to dress up for a day.:furious:
Is that clearer? Probably not, lol
I agree....Suit or jumpsuit playing pen tag with her lawyer doesn't look good!
