I have to say.......that really was not a nice suite... LOL... it was just blah. Buzzie, you are right tho....that her face will still be at the top of whatever outfit she dons and that is what the Jury will be taking notice of.

Also, I think the bun was real and not a falsie. Her hair, in the last court appearance, was very long.

Does anyone know if you can get your hair cut in jail??? (just stream of consciousness and one of those inquiring mind kind of things LOL)

Yep, inmates can have their hair cut, and in some prisons/jails they even have hair salon services...hair coloring, perms etc. Orange County Jail seems like the type of place they would offer such things IMO, but I don't know for sure.

But i will bet you dollars to doughnuts if she showed up in court wearing a party dress or a low cut blouse there would be an entire thread about how she doesn't even respect the court enough to dress appropriately. There would be another thread saying Baez is so dumb he didn't even tell her to dress for court.

She has to dress for court. It is foolish for any person going to court to dress disrespctfully or to wear the jumpsuit if you do not have to.

I'll take that bet if I can have the doughnuts! :waitasec: Wait, what are we betting on anyway? I heard doughnuts and my mind went blank!

Quite frankly, I don't think that body language "experts" can "read" people by their facial expressions or movements anymore than anyone else. It takes quite some time to study someone's mannerisms and expressions in order to "read" them.

Someone here posted a link to police interrogation tactics and body language played a big role.

It certainly is a mask, Elphaba, and the courtroom itself is a stage designed to give visual cues to the jurors (the audience) observing from their box seats. As in theatre and religious ceremonies (the first theatre), the spatial arrangement, the protocol, and the wardrobe are integral parts of the ritual that occurs at trial. It's an interesting topic of discussion for those who like to study trials.

Bessie, I am also an actor and one of my degrees is in Social Sciences (and going through the school of hard knocks). Actors are very in tune with all of this. That is why I started a thread months ago: Casey's Body Language. I have to ask why these threads aren't merged--'cause to me, it's all the same thing.

Was the body language specialist quoting an evaluation that only she has seen or is it available to the public? I did not see it in document dumps and I'm interested. Contempt as a strong feeling of the prisoner? Definitely, and long before June, 2008.

I do believe it was stated that she was being treated "special" yesterday in that she even got to dress for court at all. Most inmates only dress in civilian clothes when in front of a jury.

Fancy meeting you here, Tuba!

I believe the evaluation was based on casey's last 2 court appearances.

All I could think of when I watched Casey today was, this is the way she has gone through her life...throw out a big smile...ACT concerned and professional. This what she has used ON people probably from a child.

I may be jaded from all I know of her...all we have read...but her eyes are cold even when she is trying her hardest to "charm" someone. Her photographs show that IMO...all of them...

I saw her smile at someone but as soon as she turned away the smile was gone. It was like she made herself smile at someone but didn't mean it. Hard to explain.

I think she acted uncomfortable because she had her jail pants on and didn't want anyone to know she was wearing them. She kept pulling her jacket down to cover her pants every time she moved. It was said that she was wearing her jail pants and her rubber shoes from jail. She would have looked better in her jail top and pants in my opinion. Her hair does look better pulled back from her face instead of just hanging all over her eyes. I think it was evident that she didn't want to be there. Tough luck Casey. She has put on some weight but who doesn't when they just lay around and eat and read. Just ask me!!!! I'm not even in a cell 23 hours a day and have no excuse!

one little thing I noticed which may just be a "nervous habit" , KC kept rubbing the palm of her hand... first thing I thought of when I saw it was Lady McBeth... Im probably reading more into it than I should.. but I kept thinking.. she's "rubbing off the Chloroform spot" (me thinks perhaps, I doth read too much Shakespeare!)

It looked to me that she was scratching her palm. The first thing that I thought of was when your right hand itches you are supposed to get money that day! I wondered if someone was going to put money into her account!
Then I saw her do the same thing to her other hand. I think it might have been nerves.

Why is she so uptight this time around and before she acted like she was taking part in a movie or something. Do you think things are finally sinking in with all of the evidence and then Caylee being found, etc? Maybe she isn't as sure of herself and her line of BS now as she was before?

According to this, they were not her jail pullups.

Her attorney, Jose Baez, dropped off the clothes - blue pants and gray blazer - at the video visitation center on Wednesday.

Call it Body Language or Nonverbal Communication, it is the same thing.
The former FBI agent wrote a book: "What Every Body is Saying."--I'm going to have to read that one!

I have been wondering if Casey can work out in jails...whether in her private cell or in an actual exercise area? Do we know if they have this privelage in jail? If I were her...that is what I would be doing daily.

I only see a cold-hearted psychopath. I don't know who is capable of smiling when your child's skeletal body was found over a month ago and your father is currently in the hospital for attempted suicide.

She needs to be locked up forever. I saw a purely dangerous human being sitting there.

I saw exactly what you did, PattyCake. An evil, vial human. Her eyes are so vacant, she has no soul, she truely is one evil person and to me, it certainly shows through clearly! That's something that can not be hidden.
