Hi everyone! I've been lurking for over a month now...
I love all of the bright people here!

I agree with all of the body language clues here..Crocodile tears, fake smile masking anger, arrogance etc.
However, the one thing that BUGS me to no end is the way she walks.
She walks with so much energy and a "Spring" in her step. Almost as if she was going to a fun event! I can't imagine how I'd be walking if my son was missing. One night my son was out to the city for a concert and I knew he'd be walking in the dark with a friend to their car. He is 18 and I was still so worried I walked slowly and had anxieties all night.
She never looks beaten down or sad and she has waaaaayyyy too much energy when out.

ahhhh, the walk! besides the cold, stiff disdainful look, I think her walk catches my attention most. It is almost a runway strut walk. There's both defiance and look at me built into it. She is always aware of the people around her, especially males. When being escorted into court or out by a well built male deputry, she us even more upright and strutting, seemingly aware of his presence and almost trying to impress him. She even smiles in those situations, towards the guard as if flirting and yet ignores all others around.

to me, her walk mirrors her phone interview statement "OMG, calling you guys, what a waste of time !" the tone of voice and total disdain clearly matches her body movements when in front of cameras and walking in and out of JB office or back into custody. She is used to flaunting her body to get both get attention from those she wants to attract and as a slap in the face to those she wants to lust after her. She feels empowered by her looks and has gotten buy on them and her lies so long it fuels her arrogance. the only time her head is down, is when it seems she hasnt had makeup opportunities but the shoulders ares still hunched tight and the walk still a strut. To me "the walk" is her true nature more than any on camera smiles or occasional tears could ever reveal. Remember we can shed tears over sad movies, happiness, or anger and frustration. The only sadness in KC is for her loss of freedom and seeing her public opinion drop where it will affect future potential male conquests.

Y'know, the way she has to tie her "Find Caylee" t-shirt up to make it more "flattering" has bothered me too! Along with her taking time to worry about her jewelry and sunglasses selection each day, too. GRRRRRRRRR.

P.S. Hi everyone; this is my first post. Glad to be a part of such a great group of minds!

Welcome Jane, I doubt you're mundane. As for that cinched Find Caylee t-shirt and jewerly and sunglasses, I see this more of a type of dress used by someone very insecure. More bling, make-up to make up for something a person feel is missing from them as a human.
JMO of course.

you mean like a costume for the part they're playing?
now that makes sense to me ...

She very carefully rubbed her tears with her friggin thumbs and looked down at them to see if her make up had rubbed off. Ever seen such a thing?

MOO

Good point Pink. And yes, I've seen this type of eye wipe before. Usually from someone more concerned with how they look than how they feel. She's not feeling anything about the reason she's there but more concerned with not smearing her eye make up. That's what important for Casey at that particular moment.
Also, she acts as if she's not used to crying. moo?

I guess this fits in with body language as a topic. I think Casey was faking in the jail visitation video with Cindy and George where she tells them to "hang on" and looks to the side as if someone is talking to her. I never saw another person in that, so I believe she was faking and pretending some jail guard was speaking to her because she had been asked an uncomfortable question by her parents. Always planning, always thinking, and evading. Casey's body language never looks totally natural, relaxed or at ease in any pic or video that I've seen of her.

Welcome janemundane. Sun glasses look to be a big item in the Anthony family. There are several photos of adorable Caylee in some fancy sun glasses. I think the glass actually belong to Casey but put on her daughter for cute photos. How many pairs of sg does Casey need?

Once I read that a person can hide under sun glasses but look at you. Like DrewP always wore them. You can't see there eyes but they can see yours.
Also, if a person does drugs or have been drinking heavy the eyes show it.
Wear sunglasses and no one knows. I actually went to a wedding and the bride, groom and party wore sg during the reception, which is VERY ODD, later found out they all did herion.:furious:

What I found interesting is "NO ONE EVER PLEADED FOR THE SAFE RETURN OF CAYLEE" Did anyone see anyone saying, PLEASE,PLEASE give her back[/B]!!! Just drop her off, what do you want from us??? all the A's said 'have you seen me?' and a reward..............IMO, from day 1 I felt it was not a kidnapping.............

I would like to give some insight about the whole "wiping of the eye and then looking at the finger" thing. I used to do that to my husband (during our dating stage) I did the same thing but, it wasn't to check my make-up (which back then I would put on just to go to the mail box!) It's was to see the size of the tear and if it was believable or not. He of course caught on to my "crocodile tears" and I have since grown out of the "pity party" stage.
[snipped]

..... it was the size of the tear....

OMG you just made me fall on the floor laughing!!! I'm glad you grew out of this stage :)

I thought she was checking to see if she'd actually managed to squeeze out a tear.

Ah, just saw your post, amizzy. That's exactly what I mean. Is there an actual tear here? Big enough to convince them I'm crying?

Hi I am new here decided to join after looking around for a few weeks.

I am thinking the reason for her break down was that when the judge set the high bail she could not take that. She was thinking she was getting $25,000 not $500,000 so it shocked the life out of her that she was staying in jail. That is the only thing I can think of because that is from her bond hearing.

"break down" and KC do not belong in the same sentence. she doesn't break down, she breaks "others" down.

This has bothered me as well. Not one of them ever ask for the so called kidnappers to return her. Even when GA said they were watching the people who had her (yeah right), they never said please bring her home, even the reward money posted by someone else, the A's never said those words that would have convinced me they really beleived she was kidnapped. Never asking for her to be brought home spoke loud and clear to me that they really did not believe anyone had her.

Our first insight into KC was given at the first bond hearing when she was escorted into the courtroom by guards. As KC was entering the room she had alittle trip of the feet. KC immediately looked up and around at the guards with such a look of disdain & contempt. This would not be the appropriate behavior for someone who is appearing before a judge. These were her true emotions of how she felt towards everyone!!!! Her face spoke a thousand words at that moment. KC's first video appearance was our window to her soul. KC's tears started when her father testified at the bond hearing. The connection between father & daughter at that moment was very interesting. I see KC as an adolescent woman instead of an adult 22 yr. old women. When I try an figure out the hows and whys to her behavior I refer to psychopathy in adolescents.

Bolded by me

That look struck me as well. I would have expected her to be fearful and instead, she was totally arrogant. I would hate to have anyone look at me like that.

This is petty at this point but do all of you remember KC looking at her pretty painted toes & how they were just a bend'in & curl'in? Honestly if I didn't feel so strong about KC psychopath diagnos I would have said she was totally out of touch with the reality of what was happening in that courtroom!!! She struted to her seat like a movie star. Why do you think all these female criminals have this affect after they play grieving mothers. That was a dumb question--- Their brains made them do it. No rhyme or reason for these criminals.:furious:

I haven't read through this thread, so I'm not sure if this has ever been mentioned. One of the things that bothers me most about Casey is her tone of her voice. Every time I hear her speak she's loud and forceful. She speaks with confidence (for lack of a better descriptive term.) I used to have a friend like that, she intimidated people by being so loud all the time.

I also noticed that she always has to tie a damn knot in the "Find Caylee" t-shirt that she wears. It's like she has to show off her goods--gosh forbid if she wears a big shirt! She is far too consumed with her appearance with the makeup etc. Come on!

Knot the shirt, knot the child. It's all the same to her. KC innocent? Knot so much!

This is so interesting and here's mine. In the jail video, when iirc, she is talking to Lee, she is saying 'tell her I love her, I want her some safe, I'm sure we'll see her, blah, blah. Remember that little monologue? it's been on NG this week. Well, she shakes her head 'no' with every statement, like she doesn't believe what she's saying and she is lying to him.

Casey's Presentation: Does it matter? Is it circumstantial evidence?

I first stumbled on a NG show in the summer when they were showing the Party Pictures. This intrigued me. How could this be? I studied those pictures wondering if they were just about a normal 22 yr. old out at a club without a care in the world, who had left her child with a trusted babysitter.

Then, the facts came tumbling out. I, among many were shocked. Then the lies. How could this be a grieving mother?

I couldn't believe her lawyer didn't reign in her Missing Caylee T-shirt tied up at the waist, her eye make-up and her strut back in August...was this the public image he wanted of her...so what's with the bun now?

I think the inconsistencies with her looks and appearance, her lies, her behaviors and actitivities that so contrast with that of a truly grieving, unjustly accused mother add up to circumstantial evidence that gives credence, along with all the other evidence, to LA's theory that she is guilty of murder.

I was watching HLN today as they were discussing her overall behavior, The question asked was, will it play a role ?? The answer was yes, the Jury will be watching every move she makes, that with the forensics and witness testimony will seal KCs fate JMO

Also on the JVM show today, they all spent a good portion of the program discussing Casey's new appearance and the effect it may or may not have on the potential jury pool.
