Hi I come by once in a while for Toronto posts. Thank you all so much for the good info you uncover here. I am so saddened by the events in this case. I just wanted to mention that I was watching a lot of Live CP24 today (local Toronto news) and saw a full forensics team in their biohazard suits ( or whatever their big white suits are called) combing meticulously through the garage on Mallory Cres.. I saw live (on TV) them taking at least 2 (if not 3) hacksaws as evidence into bags. They seemed to be treated separately as though they were particularly relevant. JMHO.

That sounds awful. Hacksaws send shivers up my spine.
Lets hope there is DNA evidence to be had from these pieces of evidence.

Wow, this is tragic also. It says there was an investigation that led LE to believe they met with foul play. I wonder what they found. Last known location is Barrie, Ontario. I will add to the list.

You know what else makes me sad? That in this day and age the gay community is considered a 'marginalized group'.

I find that Star article confusing. I'm pretty sure this guy targetted gay men because he is himself gay. Just like other serial killers target women because they're straight. And pedophiles target children. Not sure how this related to marginalized groups.

This is how it it relates to marginalized communities, IMO.

The Toronto LGBTQ community - and other people, including WSers - have been concerned and frightened for *years* that there may be a serial killer targeting them. It took a long time and a lot of work for their voices to be heard. Rightly or wrongly, it remains to be seen as the case develops, TPS did not appear to be taking this as seriously as one would like until very recently.

There are also very legitimate questions still unanswered in their handling of Tess Richey’s and Alloura Wells’ cases (same area of Toronto).

(And as a side note: those listed as last seen “Queen and Ossington” are sometimes/often missing patients from CAMH, mental and addiction treatment centre).

As I understand it, it’s officially established that these two went to Barrie to sell drugs? While I think we shouldn’t forget that they are still missing, I don’t think we’ll find they’re connected to Bruce McArthur.
