Perhaps the defense will be using them as a sounding board to see if their arguments/theories will stand up at trial.

I am also wondering if her other company will receive payment for expert services from JAC while her attorney skills are being provided pro bono.

Unreal!! Ms. Sims seems to suffer from grandiosity and possibly about 10 different personality disorders herself including posing as a medical Doctor which is a crime. For starters she isn't qualified to diagnose a dog let alone a psychiatric disorder.
A good junkie can modify a doctors behaviour too. Kudos to her. This woman is beginning to make me very sick.

India's medical system and level of care is so close to that in the US it's perfectly logical. NOT. But the Doctors come really cheap I bet.:banghead:

MMMmmm... Not necessarily. We still don't know how Laci Peterson died- my personal theory is that he strangled her with the lamp cord- and he still got the Death Penalty.

Thanks LinasK for bringing me back into reality....you are right, SP was given the DP and we don't know how Laci and Conner died, so there is hope, right?

Seriously, LWOP would be far worse fate for this party girl. Just to think of the lengths she went through to have her "bella vida"! She can now have it while in la casa grande....JMHO

I also feel jurors would want to her from her own mouth in her own words why those 31 days passed and she told no one of an alleged abducted Caylee. Carried on with life as if she never had a child. She wasn't worried, she showed no concern, no alarm within her...she made things up as she went along. As GA stated, she pushes the envelope..she'll take it as far as she can go.

I just wonder what in the world Baez tells these "specialists" to have them sign on with him? Does he truly feel ICA is innocent??? Remembering what Todd Mac stated, the prosecutors still haven't been "shown" this aspect of her innocence, so where is it??? Where is this "compelling" evidence/reason to back up that claim?

When I think of the OJ trial for double homicide, there was no doubt in my mind he wasn't innocent. Too bad a certain detective went as far as to allegedly "plant" evidence and Cochran showed how racist he was...add that to my belief, they paid off a juror. As Karn stated earlier, a leather glove when it gets wet shrivels up. When OJ's hand couldn't fit in it, he was acquitted but why didn't any jurors figure out the leather and the shriveling up of it??? I think some were star dazed but ICA isn't a star. What she allegedly is accused of doing to Caylee was in itself a depraved act and since this is a baby who had been tossed like garbage, I feel those jurors will see through all those smoke and mirrors these "specialists" put out there for the hardest hurdle is those crucial 31 days...how can she explain that?? No self investigation while on stripper poles downing drinks. Watching videos while her baby was not in her care. Using money not hers while on a shopping spree at Target, JCP...which will also come into play, she's a convicted felon already...I do hope jurors use common sense and throw out of their minds anything that sounds absurd. JMHO

Seems Baez also pushes the envelope, see how far he can take this with JBP...He was told he didn't need a jury consultant but yet, he did consult with one, IIRC reading back on one of these threads...this is his biggest case ever and hopefully his last if people follow through with things and if DC is proven to be credible, possibly, maybe he'll be done...this is a make him or break him case and hopefully, it's the latter...JMHO

I wonder if he ever caught her in any lies??? Does he confront her or just take her word on things??? I still don't know how he sleeps at night???? JMHO

Anchor Martha Sugalski described attorney Dorothy Clay Sims of Ocala as “the formidable new asset on Casey Anthony’s legal dream team.”

What do you make of that interpretation? Overstatement?

WESH’s tireless Bob Kealing explained that Sims “travels the country advising plaintiffs’ lawyers on how to expose quack medical experts” and that she has a reputation for aggressive questioning. Sims visited Anthony in jail six weeks ago but it isn’t clear when the attorney will first appear as co-counsel, Kealing added.

Orlando defense attorney Richard Hornbsy, who provides legal analysis for WESH, theorized that Sims could help in a defense effort to save Anthony’s life. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. Hornsby sees Sims as “definitely an asset” and says her participation suggests the defense is putting the state on notice that the prosecution’s experts better be more than hired guns.

Seems to me the prosecution is well prepared. Hired guns??? The evidence will speak for itself. If it wasn't that damning why did CA spend 18 months trying to recreate history? Why has CA back peddled?

All those fine CSI officers who spend days on end gathering up Caylee's tiny bones. The rare duct tape, all evidence found with Caylee's remains link right back to the Hopespring Drive home where they both resided. The cadaver dogs hitting on human decomp, the smell from the pontiac, the evading her family for 31 days, never calling authorities for 31 days, no cares, no concern of an allegedly abducted child, no nanny ever found that babysat for Caylee. ICA non existant job at Universal, the alleged apartment where ICA left Caylee at the bottom of the stairs was empty for 142 days..

I don't think Baez or his own 'hired' guns will be able to explain that away, unless they do use a psychotic break in reality...Might I also add how agressive JA or LDB will be, are well prepared in their charges. They have it all covered. Justice will come for Caylee for she is the most important piece of evidence...JMHO

“The fact that Casey has had a psychologist or psychiatrist visit her in jail suggests the defense has their mental health mitigators in place, but they won't file their notice until the last minute,” Hornsby said.

The state gets to have its own psychological experts examine Casey and offer testimony in the case, subject to Sims cross examination.

Even if Atty. Sims is working with JB pro bono there will still be the fee for the doctors who "do not have a license to practice medicine in the U.S. or Europe" that will have to be paid. Somehow, I just smile when I think of Dr G being cross examined with information provided by "doctors who are licensed in developing nations" and purportedly earn $150 per hour for MDinaBOX, Inc. I don't think Dr G will be intimidated at all by any of this.

If this is the case it seems more likely that she would be challenging the testimony of the mental health doctors, the psychologist or psychiatrist, rather than addressing the autopsy results. According to her many bios she does have experience in opposing charges of malingering, etc, so it does make some sense that she would search for doctors to support a theory that Casey is mentally ill. That could also explain why she needed to make a personal visit to Casey in jail. I wonder, did she bring her box with the doctor in it with her?

I've forgotten about the psychologicals on ICA...thanks EU, for that dose of reality...I totally forgot a mental health evalutation was done on ICA...I am very curious now to know what they found???JMHO
