Thanks, KellysGal! Yes, they are backtracking on that statement. Either they really were misunderstood or they don't want the perp to know they have his photo yet perhaps. Interesting. Hard to know what to believe.

You know what is interesting about the door to door sales people. They usually have a story - they are selling magazines and they say they live in the neighborhood. Then they use one of your neighbors last names and they say the Smith family just bought from me - they are friends with my parents the Jones. We had this happening MAJOR last year in our neighborhood. Anyway, my husband would call them out on it and ask them for their address and phone number. Then once the kid got acostic with him - then said "hey man wanna hit the bars" - just REALLY weird. So, another resident in this neighborhood used to live in Vegas and she said it was the same sting that they had out there - SAME GUY!!!! Someone did dig around and they found the article with prior arrests on the guy who was in our neighborhood. One lady was dumb enough and let him in her house so she could write a check!!!!! Anyway, she did get really creeped out -- apparently they like to get in the house and then they would grab a purse or a checkbook or whatever they could - because they would ask for a glass of water -- Anyway, I live in an upscale neighborhood, all newer custom homes and this was prevalent here. Even though we have plenty of signs saying no soliciting.

About the movie.... I just saw it Sunday afternoon, and I can't imagine that her part in it could have had anything to do with what happened to her. It was less than a minute, and I don't remember the exact dialogue, but nothing controversial or partisan. Remember when George Bush flew that plane onto an aircraft carrier? She played a newscaster reporting on that, and her comments were followed by a male newscaster with his comments. If you blinked, you missed her part.
The video tributes that her station did were beautiful, but I was watching them at work today, and the music made me cry.
I'm concerned about her dogs. Anyone know what will happen to them?

When she was hospitalized her mother had them boarded even though several friends offered to take them in. So I'm sure someone will take them. They are OK.
I know it doesnt seem important when a human life has been lost, but I have a cocker spaniel, too. When I had to make a sudden trip to the hospital, from the doctor's office, I was frantic because I had left him at home in his crate. It's hard, having pets when you live alone, with no family close by.

Excellent, this is a great tip. Please send this information to the Little Rock Police, at this point the 2 attacks resemble enough to compare.

The person on this blog with the numbered points....this is a lot of what's been heard through the grapevine in LR. I heard some of it myself from "inside" sources, but didn't want to post it. It's way worse than what LE wants us to hear. As you can read in the blog, LE is having some PR problems too.

Thanks for posting this link. If what the blog states is true, LRock needs to be aware there is a monster amongst them. I do not understand why LE is so quiet on any info. they may have.

This reminds me of the Rebekah Gould murder. (Still unsolved, yet it is like 120 miles or so from Little Rock, I think.)

I've heard details from a lot of sources and they match so this is probably true. And it's scary to live here and they act like it's random, yet they don't tell us what to be on the lookout for.

Has anyone checked to see if there has been similar unsolved crimes in or around LRock? Or even, if a sexual offender may have recently been released from prison? this perp. has probably committed similar crimes. Maybe not this violent, but probably sexual assault in some way, shape or form.

I don't know. LE is not talking at all. I've lived here all my life and I don't remember hearing of anthing like this happening here.

Beagle. That post is from someone close to LE.
I have to agree about the spokesperson, unfortunately. She is out of her league in this case. Her interview took like 6 minutes to say 4 sentences repeatedly, and none were concise or investigation progressing; I left that video feeling a complete lack of confidence. In such a brutual murder, that should never be.

I have to put something I saw on another site up just because I was wondering why the dogs were not barking either. I am sorry but I think that even though they were cocker spaniels they would bark if their owner was being injured and they did not know the person who was with her. Plus, i have some other questions, how close was her home to the golf course? If it was close would they have cameras that might show something on them? I still have not had this question answered either, was it a gated community that she lived in? If so, how do people gain access to gated communities?

1) missing purse
2) attendance at a party earlier that evening
3) ambiguous sexual orientation (?)
4) Anne's 2 dogs roaming the neighborhood (or not in the home)
5) the nature of the attack (as reported in the media)
6) no signs of 'forced entry' into Anne's home
7) no report of any indication of a sexual assault
8) no suggestion or indication that Anne had personal (overt) enemies (other than the nature of the attack)
9) Anne's mother was the first to arrive at the crime scene
10) No indication or presence of the device used to strike Anne.
11) No reports of any signs of struggle
12) Nothing (it seems) was taken from Anne's home and it is uncertain if the purse was in her home at the time of the attack
Connecting the dots:
- A female attacker cannot be ruled out
- No report of barking dogs suggests someone 'familiar'
- Was the purse (and keys?) stolen at the party and not from the home?
- It seems reasonable to hypothesize that the attack occurred while Anne was sleeping which indicates a deranged psychopath or an infuriated person who know Anne personally but the 'deranged psychopath' hypothesis does not explain the silent dogs.
- Although distasteful to state, Anne's mother must be considered as a 'person of interest'. She cannot simply be dismissed as a possible suspect. The police will, at least, verify if a 'wake-up' telephone call was actually placed, as stated.
- The nature of the crime indicates a murderous intent on the part of the assailant, who probably left on-foot and taking the 'weapon', suggesting that the device used to strike Anne was of an unusual character (?) the faint descriptions of Anne's wounds suggest the possibility of a crow-bar but someone with keys to Anne's home would have no use for a crow-bar unless Anne had a wall or floor safe (?) and that fact (?) was known to the assailant. Nevertheless, there is no indication that any secure storage device (a safe, etc.) was in Anne's home, and the only missing item is Anne's purse but, as yet, there is no report that she had the purse with her, only a presumption.
It seems reasonable that Anne's pet dogs were present when Anne returned home from the party.
My initial hypothesis is that this terrible act of violence was 'personal' and that robbery was not a motive. The nature of the injuries (as suggested by media reports) seems that murder was the intention of the attacker.
Perhaps Anne's computer (e-mail, etc.) will provide some clues.

Very respectfully, I am not enthused to see Mrs. Pressley's reference in their as a potential suspect to be ruled out or other. We are aware there are several threads on here who's family reads them. It would break my heart if something written here would add to a families grief. JMHO
