Am I correct in understanding that CL WAS charged with theft by receiving, but now we know it's not the phone? It may not matter what that item is to some of you but it does to me because it belonged to Beverly. I just can't think of anything other than jewelry. And according to an earlier post from mimi we know it's <$1,000.00. So if it's not jewelry, what other item do y'all think it could be?

All we, as in the public, know is from the District Court Docket (copied and linked below) no images or description of report detailing charge. Now going by that we have no idea what it was or to whom it belonged to. Arron also has been charged with Robbery. Both Defendants charges show to be bound over to Circuit Court from District Court. So JMHO, again there as to be some kind of evidence to do that. *As a side, the link to Arrons Robbery charge also has his Capital Murder, Kidnappng, and 4 POSSESS FIREARMS BY CERTAIN PERSONS charges.

IIRC the lock to the house was not found, I could be wrong about that but there was the Dumptruck that was found from the same company that Beverly Carters remains were located. We do not know which of the various locations of ARGO that the dumptruck came from. JMHO these charges could reflect to many things that led to possible connections back to Beverly. OR its entirely possible Crystal's charges have nothing to do with Beverly Carter. Police during an investigation are given some leeway to say... suspects family ... but I believe that they by law have to to file the arrest warrant factual statements, and I haven't seen anything from Crystal Lowery stating that she was charged falsely on that charge. Well so far. JMHO

Is there any likelihood of AL being offered a deal?

Pros said when asked, only that they haven't put forth a plea deal, nor has Mr. Lewis shown any intention of asking for one. From the Arron's last hearing, I personally did not get the feeling he was going to plea out. He has a new lawyer and he (Arron) seem pretty convinced that his alleged evidence he has will shed new light on the case. But who knows. He has a Hearing in Oct iirc ... JMHO

ETA: IIRC, most all if not all of Arron prior criminal charges ended up with him plea bargaining. But this is a total different charge, none of them were for Capital Murder and Kidnapping. Oct could bring about more surprises.

JMHO, but I am thinking that Crystal Lowery Pub Defender may not have known for sure until morning of hearing. (jmho because IF he had for certain, they would have had paperwork completed and not this happen) When Crystals Public Defender got there, he walked over to where she was sitting in the jury box seats, as in acknowledging her. Then he bent over as to listen. He got his phone to ear, unsure if call or he called someone, he left for a few, then when he returned he and Crystal left the courtroom. She did not return until much later when her case was called (CL was Not back in the courtroom when the Judge arrived. About 12 or so cases called prior to her) Pros must have got a text, he left courtroom, when he returned, he went over and bent down, spoke with Carl Carter Sr and sons were on the other side of their daddy. After the Pros spoke I could see Mr. Carter nod yes and so did his sons in acknowledgment of whatever they were talking about. The Pros then went over and sat in the Lawyer seating. Minutes later CL Public Def came in and got some papers from a drawer (the plea stmnt she signed) and left. Then after a while he returned gave to the court clerks and sat down. Few later Crystals case called and she was brought back in along with another Attorney who both stood with her at the podium. .... Disclaimer my personal opinion from being in the courtroom .. and my notes taken.

Accepting a plea bargain means you can not appeal the sentence.. I can't see AL putting himself in a position where he couldn't waste the courts time and the states money by filing an appeal. That's his "thing". He loves playing lawyer.

Since the Carters have said the death penalty is off the table, life in prison wouldn't be a deal for him so I'm really hoping he doesn't plea bargain. He shouldn't have a chance to be back in society even at 90 years old.

JMHO, IF Arron went for a Plea deal, he wouldn't get as good of one maybe as Crystal got. Seems LEO goes to the weakest link first. AND Arron has gun charges (multiple for felon in possession of) and I am not sure how it works on the habitual offender. I know there is a work sheet they fill out ~ have seen in research.

BUT, I believe that without a doubt that Beverly Carters family knows what happened as far as timeline and evidence to support it. Plea would be easier on one way, not having to hear drama and possible undesirable things that Arron may say. There will always be the WHY. I don't know if I was in there position and I pray I never am. I don't know if "WHY?" could ever be answered to fill my need.

Remember when Arron said when asked "why Beverly" and he said because she was a rich broker? And in that edited prison interview, he said Beverly went willingly?

Thinking out loud... What if, when they met face to face, Beverly recognized Crystal Adams? (who is Crystal Lowery, who daughter and Beverly granddaughter attended same gym). IF that happened, is it possible that Beverly may have gone with them under false pretense? I personally do not believe it was a random~ chance meeting and that they didn't know one another. OR it could have depending on how the whole referral thing went about. Could have been surprise for all 3.... Probable that Beverly didn't know who she was actually meeting up with but its most likely Steven (Steveoh and Crystal) Crystal Adams knew who they were meeting. (again depending on the whole referral) Ransom ?.... Whatever their plans to make up names that were truly names used by both... (wonder where the Adams comes from ) which was another feather in the cap of LEO to have them as suspect from the beginning.

ETA: Arron also said, paraphrasing.. "we were already there" in his prison interview..... Could Beverly as i was thinking out loud did go with them not knowing she was being kidnapped...and when realized tried to escape thus "we were already there" and something happened to cause her death?

I am guessing now Crystal will have to give a deposition with the Pros Attorney for Arron's trial. This will help them build their case against Arron stronger and tweek it if needed. And for sure Arron's lawyer, will do a deposition too. They would be able to use that to impeach or use in Arron trial, if she backs out of her plea agreement. If she were, could use in her trial too. To be a Fly on the wall ....

I still think the actual death was due to something going wrong in the whole Kidnapping... jmho

But they choose to extend mercy and grace to these 2 people that took away their wife, their mother by not wanting the DP for them . 2 people that never showed any mercy and grace to Beverly. I think that just shows even more what a beautiful person Beverly was. I pray that God just lifts them up and fills them with strength when they have to sit there and listen to the horrific things these people did to their loved one.

5-10-102. Murder in the first degree.

(a) A person commits murder in the first degree if:

(1) Acting alone or with one (1) or more other persons:

(A) The person commits or attempts to commit a felony; and

(B) In the course of and in the furtherance of the felony or in immediate flight from the felony, the person or an accomplice causes the death of any person under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life;

(2) With a purpose of causing the death of another person, the person causes the death of another person; or

(3) The person knowingly causes the death of a person fourteen (14) years of age or younger at the time the murder was committed.

(b) It is an affirmative defense to any prosecution under subdivision (a)(1) of this section for an offense in which the defendant was not the only participant that the defendant:

(1) Did not commit the homicidal act or in any way solicit, command, induce, procure, counsel, or aid the homicidal act's commission;

(2) Was not armed with a deadly weapon;

(3) Reasonably believed that no other participant was armed with a deadly weapon; and

(4) Reasonably believed that no other participant intended to engage in conduct that could result in death or serious physical injury.

Yes, I understand that. The Pros has said all along that they have kept the family informed of all aspects. what I meant was, I sure they offered her the plea then she was given time to think about it. I didn't get the impression that they KNEW for sure that she had decided to take it. I just saying my impression of how it appeared to play out. I could be totally wrong.

One thing that I did learn from going to these 2 hearings. I now distrust the media a little bit more than I did orig. Its no wonder that the misinformation is reported so often. Here is a picture i took, of the media interviewing Pros Attorney Johnson. The interview that was posted last night as a "live shot" in front of the Courthouse, it was a live shot, but the reporter went there for the purpose of appearance. Not actually reporting live from there after the proceedings. There were Black PCSO sedans in front of the Courthouse when that morning and when I left lol There were print reporters there, on the other side of the guys video the interview. A dark haired female was on the phone calling someone giving details, but I believe she may have been friend or something other than a reporter she didn't interview anyone. The reporter that interviewed CCjr, I didn't see her there, very possible that she either met him there later . Friends and family seemed very friendly with KATV 7 male reporter, and let him sit by them. ... **side note remember KARK 4 is who did the "exclusive interview with Arron Lewis from Tucker Max" Fox16 is a sister station of KARK 4
