I think the conversation veered this way since we have a gag order with very little information to work with, and two suspects in custody --and one of them has two insiders who know her on this thread ...so it seems only natural that anyone trying to solve the case would want information on the suspects, their lives, their propensities, etc, to try to fill in any of the missing pieces of the puzzle. If we had an AL insider on the board there would likely be many questions about his family, his life, his childhood and so on that may or may not shed any light on why or how he did it. Even if we had a Trevor insider here, someone would probably be asking them a lot of questions to try to get a better grasp on a thus-far very murky picture of the crime.... Just my opinion!

Might be a good idea if we all revisit the rules of WS----Page one would be the place to find more rules or even the rule page---

Formal charges with the Capital Murder and Felony Kidnapping charges standing against Crystal, with no reductions made, tells me that they firmly believe they have enough evidence to show that she was an equal participant in Beverly's murder.

Does anyone know if it's common to be charged together like AL and CL were? Does this mean they will be on trial together? Also, the date of all charges is Sept. 25, the day the kidnapping occurred. Does that mean the prosecutor believes she was killed that same day or is that just how they charge on kidnapping and murder?

I was wondering about the same questions.

A search in the area revealed Carter in a shallow grave, bound by duct tape, according to the report.

I havent seen that before. What did they do? Bury her alive?

I was wondering that. Also, I was wondering if either of them left a fingerprint or hair in the duck tape. I watch a lot of Dateline and Criminal Inv and have seen it happen before. That would be a damning piece of evidence.

I suppose whoever pulled the tape off the roll and placed it on Beverly would have left fingerprints. I really dont think you could work with duct tape with gloves on. It would be hard because it would stick to the gloves.

Individuals have been tried together in cases. 2 of the defendants of the West Memphis 3 were tried together. I don't think it's a common practice though.

Bound by duct tape? Hmm.,fingerprints, hair or DNA on the tape matching Crystal could easy be enough for her charges. And in my opinion, Arron L is talking to investigators.

So the duct tape seems to back up the theory that kidnapping (for ransom?) was the initial motive. If so, it's hard to think that he planned and tried to pull it off alone.

I noticed that his violation dates were changed to Sept. 25th. His initial charges were Sept. 29 for the kidnapping and Sept. 30 for the murder, right?

I dont think he could have managed to bind up a more than likely fighting Beverly by himself with duct tape. It takes 2 hands to get duct tape loose from a roll without it wadding up and sticking together, let alone trying to hold on to a kidnap victim. I think thats a real good clue 2 people were involved. If he were taping her hands behind her back he would have to hold them back there so she didnt escape while unrolling it by himself. I dont think that is possible.

Yep. I noticed that as well. I do believe those were the original dates for him.

Let's settle the child support issue. This is a copy of the Child Support Withholding form that was filed with the Court 9/5/2014. CL's ex-husband was in arrears less than 12 weeks and was paying $100.00 monthly toward the amount owed.

I cannot imagine what he was feeling upon waking up in the morning and realizing his daughter was gone. I commend him for taking custody and care of his children in a highly stressful situation for all involved.
From yrs ago working at OCSE, there could be many reasons for the arrearages.

This is not a clue that 2 people were involved IMO. Guns make people comply, simple as that.

How do you hold a roll of duct tape in one hand and pull the duct tape loose from the roll with one hand while holding a gun in the other?
