Mitchel Weiser, who went missing in July 1973 with his girlfriend Bonita Bickwit from New York?
Here is Mitchel's link:
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/weiser_mitchel.html
Mitchel was a teen, he easily could have grown another inch in 5 years.

Here is Bonita's link: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/b/bickwit_bonita.html

Bonita most likely also grew taller (she was 14 when she disappeared with Mitchel in 1973 )and she could have cut and colored her hair. There is something about the female UID eyebrow arch that reminds me of Bonita's face.
In 1978, both would have been in the age range of the UIDs.

Wow, I had never thought of them! I do see a resemblance.

A mega update on this case...

The Missouri State Highway Patrol replied to my email inquiry about the gentleman mentioned on the poster posted here by FiveFelines. As far as I could tell that was the only mention of him anywhere on the internet, even on her other posters.

After putting MO police in touch with AR police they concluded that they had nothing posted online about the UID male. Perhaps it was lost over the years but that doesn't really matter. What matters is that as a result of the inquiry the MO police have created a BRAND NEW poster for the male UID which contains a lot of details to go on which in my opinion makes this case very solvable. He had a large scar on the middle of his forehead, a "J.H." tattoo on his arm and a memorable t-shirt.

Take a look at the poster here and let me know who you think it could be. I have a few picks and wonder if like minded individuals are thinking along the same lines as me.

Also, I've been told that adding him to NamUs could prove difficult as this is usually only done by the Coroners/Medical examiners. MO police as sourcing somebody to add him to the database but if anyone out there reading this has a connection with NamUs then please try to have him added.

TF!

Commenting on BBM portion.
Try contacting the Regional Manager for the female's case (NOT the case worker - the RM) Advise them of what you have. Also spoon feed them!! If they have to look for it, well...

Make your information short and precise along with a link or other information to a possible male companion. Send (CC) le agency for BOTh the missing female and male. I swear, I get so tired of "professional" folks passing the buck! Why are there so many case workers and managers?'

Don't give up! This is doable.

Someone mentioned early in this thread the Mercury Dime necklace and dug up that it had a connection to gambling. I don't think so. In the early 70's, these necklaces were most commonly sold at COIN SHOWS, similar to today's traveling gun shows. Selling and buying coins and precious metals was very common then as an investment. I saw them for sale at coin shows held on the fairgrounds in Jackson, MS.

Mercury dimes were considered a general good luck charm, too, not just for gambling.

and here are the results that were returned. I did 2 separate searches, using last seen 01-01-1970 to 6-17-1978 for both. In one search I used "blond" hair, the other "brown". I also used female, white, hazel eyes, and a range of 58-62 inches for both searches. Those unerupted teeth on the UID are really bothering me.

What bothers you about the teeth? Those are three of the four wisdom teeth -- I thought it was fairly common for people to have wisdom teeth that didn't come in?

Nancy Baird had children, didn't she? I never have really bought that she was a Bundy victim, but likely was taken by someone else. I was thinking that the "Kim" tattoo might have been a child's name, that maybe the UID had a daughter named Kim.

between Blytheville Jane (1978 AR) Caledonia Jane, (November 1979,NY) Arroyo Grande Jane ( October 1980 NV) and Walker County Jane ( November 1980 TX). There is also Princess Doe ( NJ) from 1982. I don't know how to post thumbnails of each facial reconstruction. I thought Bundy operated mainly on the West Coast and Florida. I am not saying that any of the cases that I mentioned above were Bundy-committed.

http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2630dfut.html This is Nancy's link. I keep looking at the photo on the right, taken in 1970, imagining her with shorter hair, like slightly above the shoulder. If someone has an ancestry.com membership, maybe they could determine the names of Nancy's children. Doenetwork states she had a 4 year old son at the time of her disappearance. But sleuthing minors is against WS rules.

"Kim" could also be a boy's name, or the name of a first pet, or if someone really disliked their given name, they could have picked a new name they thought was beautiful and started going by that. As an example, in the first Anne of Green Gables book, Anne hated her name and wanted to be called "Cordelia" instead, because she thought "Cordelia" was the most beautiful name she had ever heard.

Since we now know that "Kim Doe" had given birth, it is quite possible that "Kim" may have been her daughter's name.

I never thought of "Kim" being a boy's name or a pet's name, but those are good ideas. I have a necklace with the birthstones of all the dogs I've had, so getting a tattoo of a pet's name wouldn't be so strange.

It looks like Nancy Baird is only mentioned having a son, and I don't know what his name is.

Another angle would be if our UID had a female lover at some point in the past named "Kim". I know she had given birth but she could have been bisexual.

one of my male relatives is named Kim. When I hear/see "Kim" as someone's name,I do not automatically think "female" although it is more common for females than males. I completely understand why most people would think "female" when hearing or seeing the name.

They would not be minors now though :)

I'm searching for missing people with Kim as initials -- so far the only possible I've found is Kathleen Murphy http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/murphy_kathleen.html

She fits the size and age, and went missing from Texas in 1976. They think she was taken against her will so that's not a real great match, and I'm not sure about resemblance. (Click attachment to enlarge.)
