A Wikipedia user had complained to Wikipedia about the "Pemiscot Does" article as well as 2 other articles featuring UIDs. The user apparently didn't like the computer facial reconstructions and/or police sketches that were included with the articles. Glad to see Wikipedia refused to delete the articles on each UID. In addition to "Pemiscot Does", here's the link to one of the other UID articles.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempe_Girl. Wikipedia added the computer recon of Tempe Girl; before, there was just the black and white sketch.

Here's a new listing in Charley Project for a girl named Kim, missing since 1977.

Kimberly Cozart
cozart_kimberly.jpg

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/cozart_kimberly.html

She's not listed in NamUs (or at least not published)

Since Kim Doe has unerupted wisdom teeth, she might be younger than estimated. Nevertheless, I'd say she's unlikely, given her age.

But I can sort of see her face in that PM photo. Hard to tell though, due to the damage to Kim doe's face.

Sent Carrie Sutherland an email to see if she has been entered in NamUs
Her entry on the Sheriff's web site

Carrie got back to me; she is not there. I'm going to enter her this afternoon.

Carl do you want her turned in to compare to Kim Doe? Carrie asked if I have someone in mind

What about either one of these two as "Kim"? I did not see them discussed previously. Neither is on the ruleout list for "Kim".

Sandra Nadine Landrum. missing since 1975 at the age of 18 from Fulton, County, GA. Sandra would have been 21/22 years old in 1978. Height ,hair, eye color all in "Kim's " range. It looks like Sandra lightened/bleached her hair.

The next MP, has "Kim's look", but she is a little taller than Kim's listed height and her eyes are listed as blue.

Benita Gay Chamberlin, missing from Oregon since February 1978, age 24. She vanished in broad daylight and her car was later found abandoned in a nearby parking lot.

Could Blytheville Kim be Mary Kay Radford with bleached blonde hair? Carl found Mary Kay's high school yearbook photos. She went missing from GA in 1974. Circumstances of her disappearance are not listed. She was somewhere between 22-25 years old in 1974. Mary Kay was listed in NAMUS with no photo, no DNA, no dentals, and no FP. Photos of Mary Kay are on the Arroyo Grande Jane Doe thread.

I was trying to copy/paste Mary Kay's photos here in a side by side with Carl's recon of Blytheville Kim, but couldn't get it to work.

Interesting suggestion--they definitely look similar to me. The only circumstances I've been able to find about Kay are that she disappeared from her apartment. It's interesting that the exact date of her disappearance is noted in Namus, but not her exact age. Kay had strawberry blonde hair, so I don't think it would have had to have been dyed. One wrinkle: it doesn't look like there are fingerprints, dentals, or DNA on file for her.

I know 'Kim' was shot, but with what sort of gun? Was it a shotgun? Her face seems terribly distorted in the pm photo. It was somewhat disturbing to look at.

DoeNetwork says "Homicide by shotgun wound to the head"
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/449ufar.html

For the male companion it confusingly says "Homicide by gunshot" http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2337ummo.html

Apparently he was shot three times while she was shot once. Maybe his face was so badly destroyed by the extra shots that authorities didn't think it made sense to release post-mortem photos. NamUs doesn't even mention the fact that she was shot, an odd detail to leave out, but it does mention some rule-outs in terms of ID:

https://identifyus.org/cases/5158

The male is not in NamUs apparently.

I was thinking Blytheville Kim's hair could have been lightened, - there was a popular product back then called "Sun-In" that you could spray in your hair to lighten it a shade or add blonde highlights. It worked for blondes, and light blondish brown hair. Not so great for people who were brunettes-it would turn a brunette's hair a red-orange color.

Also, 1978 was the summer of the megahit movie "Grease"-when Olivia Newton-John's character transforms to permed blond hair near the very end of the movie. It looks like Blytheville Kim had a definite natural wave or some sort of growing out perm in her hair. Just MOO on the hair. I am not implying in any way that Kim was influenced by the movie character. Different sources give different release dates for the movie-either June 1, 1978 or June 16th, 1978.

Yeah, not a great color for darker haired girls. My mother is half Filipino, half Caucasian, and she used it. It turned her jet black hair an awful brassy reddish-orange. Not nice.

It seems as though she could have been inspired by the movie. I wasn't born back then, but from what I infer, people may have been inspired to do their hair like that. Maybe she didn't have access or funds for an expensive salon trip and just used Sun In like many girls did. I would like to see her roots, maybe.

Thank you for the clarification

I saw his post-mortem once, it was in an article that was linked in this thread. His face wasn't unrecognisable necessarily, but his face was distorted as if he was in pain, and also he just looked somewhat unnatural. No disrespect to him. I think what I'm trying to say is that it was very obvious that he was shot.

I could have sworn I saw his PM on the Never Forget Me Facebook page.

I found this video on the case.

WARNING GRAPHIC HAS PM PHOTOS IN IT

Kim Doe's companion has his own thread here. Here's a poster that includes his PM photo (graphic, etc.): http://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/MS.../Documents/PemiscotCountyUnidentifiedMale.pdf

The PM photos of these two are indeed graphic, probably the worst I've seen. What an awful way to die. I hope they get justice soon.
Also Carl and the NCMEC did amazing jobs on the recons of these two. I know that they technically are listed as having a 'recognisable face' but the male companions injuries are very traumatic. I'm always amazed at the work people who make reconstructions do.

I feel like Doe Network should have a different category. Like, how they tend to have "Recognizable" meaning within hours of discovery. They should have "Too damaged" category for recently discovered decedents whose faces have been badly damaged. "Unrecognizable" with them means skeletal, but sometimes recently deceased persons are unrecognizable due to damage. Like Shotgun Jane Doe, these Does, etc... I can think of a few examples.

I know what you mean, that's a good idea.
