I have an email from 5:41 am (central) saying the group had been changed from public to closed. It was between 7-10 am when I read the post saying Klass Kids was there, and I clicked "like". I checked in here tonight thinking there would be lots of conversation and there was only the one post mentioning it. (Somewhere between posts 201-250 ETA: post 242.) So I went to FB again and couldn't find the post in my timeline so I searched for the group and it came up with a "join group" option which means I was removed from the group. It's really strange because like you said, publicity is really important right now!

Check your profiles activity log. You can screen shot it there. It should say all the posts you've commented on, liked, etc..

I just found this page from a WS shout out & it really doesn't give me a good feeling, [modsnip]. JMO.

Cross posting cuz I think it needs to get out there.

As with pretty much all small town cases where foul play is quite possibly involved people are afraid to speak up. Please, if you are reading this call LE or if you're not comfortable with that, call anonymously to 855-seek-lost and Klaas Kids will make sure that the information gets to the right people. If you are afraid, there are ways to go about getting the information you might have out there to the right people, while still protecting your privacy/anonymity. It's a small town, someone knows something... and regardless of how people feel about everyone else in this case, Cassie needs and deserves to be found.

Another thing people forget is that they can call anonymously from a pay phone. Here in NY we always give that info out for ppl to call from if they can't remember a confidential tip line number.

I wonder what prompted LE to call this a "recovery mission".

I've seen nothing about search warrants for the home Cassie went missing from, for any vehicles owned by the family. If and what kind of search dogs were/are being used.

I think LE is being very tight lipped in this case for a reason.

Please be the day Cassie is found and brought home. :praying:

I was in the FB group and this morning there was a post that Klass Kids was in town for Cassie. I went to look for it and I'm not in the group anymore :(

I see that group as closed. 11 members? I also see her personal page but there are a few others as well. Not a lot of activity though. I think they're ok to link since they're groups.

My apologies on the number of posts. I probably need to go back and read from the beginning here.
[modsnip]
I'm guessing they don't think she has hers with her? If your daughter was missing why would you change your number? Why would Cassie not think it's "safe" to come home & obviously mom was aware that she thought this?
The more I know the more I get a bad feeling. Reminds me of the Hailey Dunn story. Anyone else?

Just finished reading this entire thread. Holy Mother of God. What has happened to this poor child? Everyone failed her. And the police calling it a "recovery". No bueno. BF lied about calling police that night, mother is out of it and hasn't a clue, yet she holds the key to everything. This poor child. Both parents are SO's. This child should have been removed from this home years ago. I have a really bad feeling about this case. IMO

Agreed. She never had a chance. Prob failed by every close adult in her life.

Ok so apologies to all cringing as they read my last few messages. I hadn't yet gone back through and read the entire thread. I was at work and wanted to get a few thoughts out and was hoping to bump Cassie up, maybe get more people to talk. I have now read the entire thread and watched the videos. I am even more disturbed by this case then I was before. I want to note a few things that may be nothing but something of note that may cause someone else to think of an idea.

First- I have actually had a few cases here in NY where LE has told parents they won't file a missing report until 48 hours have passed. I haven't heard the 72, but have had a few of the 48 hours. Although, none of the cases I was working on was under 18. NOT that I think that in anyway excuses that statement. :gaah:

I now understand Mom had her phone taken from her & maybe it was a prepaid so you couldn't have transferred the number. Not as crazy as I once thought. I do wonder though if Cassie's is a prepaid and if they are keeping her bill up to speed and making sure she still has minutes in the event that she were to use it. I have worked 2 cases with families that have had prepaids and pings are easier to get than calls, text or data info. BUT it can be done. Considering the amount of time Cassie has been missing they should have by now a list of the last calls and text she made along with any data she was using if she had a phone with apps- was she playing a game, using an app like Kik to be undetected, snapchatting, etc. If it is universal, once you figure out who has the contract (much like some mortgages the cell companies sell them to each other) calls can take 2 weeks, text details 3 wks? I could be wrong, don't quote me on that please.

It really worries me that Mom & the bf have different stories and that Mom's has changed a few times. On top of that the bf uses past tense. That to me is unnerving! :tantrum:
Considering the thought that Cassie is 15 and not old enough to buy cigarettes, throw in that Mom called the bf "Butthead" not something more aggressive, and the fact that we aren't sure who sent the text around 7 or where the bf was until 9:15pm...I am wondering, what if the bf is the one that was buying the cigarettes? Or if Cassie was smoking if he was buying them for her? I also wonder other than the past charges what the BFF's Mom was referring to in regards to troubles at home.

Also-someone noted too that her older friend changed his profile pic the day after she went missing. Did anyone notice he also put a status out asking who wanted to hang out before "I go back home."

There is more to the story that we aren't seeing here. Sorry to babble...:sigh::sigh:

The mother posted on her facebook page that she added minutes to Cassie's phone. So it seems they are both on pre pay.

The mom calling the BF "Butthead" I have wondered if that is how the mom talks or if that is what Cassie called him and she was posting a plea to Cassie using the language Cassie uses. If that is the way the mom herself talks that worries me. That statement has been on my mind for a while.

Thank you, I guess I missed that while going through things, does make me feel better about Cassie and her phone. As for the "Butthead" terminology,we use that type of language at home, but in a more affectionate tone. Could be why I didn't take it as a name that you would call someone that your child didn't feel safe around. In my house if one of my kids is acting moody we would say, "Quit being a butthead...." or if they missed something obvious "Hey butthead..." I would expect a more stern, strong name for someone my kids don't feel safe around. Hmm...

Have a bad Sydney Nicole Randall vibe about this case :(

Here is a link to the timeline for that case, a quick read might will explain my concerns. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...LINE-*NO-DISCUSSION*&highlight=sidney+randall

ETA oh and Hailey Dunn case, again, I have not read every page but quite a few on this thread and what I have read is troubling to say the least.

I hope I am all sorts of wrong and this young lady is out there alive somewhere.

Did anyone find more chatter re: Klaas Kids on the ground there this weekend? I am going to head to the SAR thread in a moment but thought I would check in.

I agree that there has been discussion on many different social media threads indicating people inside her circle might be afraid to reach out to Law Enforcement. Anonymous tips are common-any tip is welcome. Mail a note, email from a public place, whatever you need to do. Something small is going to make all of the difference here I think.

I also think that the town is about to be deluged with even more hunters than the ones who have already been out in the woods this last month-any shoe they stumble across, a note, a hair ribbon...all of these things will be worth noting. They need to know it though-I hope that there are flyers being distributed in key areas and businesses where some of the folks out in the fields and the woods might be staying or patronizing.

Locals, can I get a perspective on the casinos? Do they see a lot of local and tourist traffic at this time of the year? I wonder if they have flyers and if they were asked to go through their footage to see if she was on tape anywhere.

For those nervous about calling LE or having a tip directly attributed to them please consider calling Klaas Kids at:

For those guests who are getting caught up, we need your thoughts and input...most importantly Cassie does. Consider signing on and giving us your thoughts and brainstorming with us.

No close casinos. I have heard it called the Duck Hunting Capitol of the World .

I know I noted this before but thought it was worth repeating. If someone is nervous about calling LE or being known they can call 911 from a pay phone. Put yourself in Cassie's shoes, she needs someone to help her & give any & all info known to those that can help her.

BRING CASSIE HOME!

The casinos are less than 1 1/2 hours drive away and draw people from all over the state. It IS called the duck hunting capital - ducks are drawn to all of the bodies of water, which vary, according to rainfall totals. I hope there are flyers at the restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs there.
