Just jumping off your post..
Really we don't know that he was having trouble with his meds or that he even had mental health condition. Family could have thought it was medical problem when it was drugs or alcohol. Family could have known it was drugs or alcohol but wanted others to think it was mental health problem which would probably be more acceptable to most than drug or alcohol abuse.
I really wish we had the complete story instead of having to wait for it.

JMO

Totally agree. That or, taking meth etc on top of psychiatric drugs would probably create "problems". JMO.

Just wanted to throw something different out there. Is it possible that the husband/father was having an episode of some kind, perhaps they had some kind of physical altercation at some point during it. They were driving somewhere, and he started heading for the area where they were found. She got scared, grabbed the baby and jumped out of the vehicle. He stopped, grabbed the baby, continued on until he got stuck, and then they ended up dying. Either he did something to the baby, or the baby died from injuries received when the mother jumped, and he then committed suicide or died from an earlier injury, or they both sat there and died due to heatstroke.

MOO

I wonder if today will be the day the autopsy results come in sinc ethe sheriff expected but didn't get them on Friday.. maybe this story will start to make sense...

Here is full press conference
ETA it took FOREVER to find this but I KNEW he said "came to rest" I didn't hear on a ledge so im guessing the first time I heard that was in video I posted earlier...

AAARRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! I went back to relisten to sheriff's exact words again and the stupid link is changed..... now is just a video of news coverage and not the actual presser.....

I think the father was murdered so she is the only suspect. They may not ever know who, killed the baby, if the death was not natural causes.

I have no sympathy for parents who do not keep children safe....they depend on us. She lived a lifestyle that was detrimental to children ....

40/29 has a lot on its Facebook, I'm on phone and am hoping someone else can please link..

A sampling from the Live Wire feed, since it may vanish:

Affidavit: She said they stayed together throughout the night but they were repeatedly attacked by "some other person." Brooke later states that she realized it was the two of them attacking each other.

She told investigators she left the baby with Brian because he was "scratched up badly" and she did not want him to get hurt anymore.

I'm learning not to be surprised by anything anymore. Recently a big thing in our local (Vermont) news was of a man claiming a bear was attacking so he & his girlfriend burned down the cabin they were in & had to jump off a (substantial) cliff to escape ... turns out they were both high, he was hallucinating & she ended up badly injured from going off the cliff - he's now facing attempted murder charges. Pretty scary what drug-induced 'reality' results in! Here's that 'bear attack' news story:

I'm really struggling to wrap my head around this. What a nightmarish scenario. That poor baby...

The details in the affidavit posted above by OkieGranny make me sick to my stomach and angry. I try and stay away from the threads involving children for this very reason. That poor baby. Those sick, selfish losers.
Harper: Like so many other children that die at the hands of their neglectful and abusive parents: you deserved so much better. Rest in peace little babe.

I am absolutely heartbroken reading the affidavit. Meth is a huge problem in Arkansas, and this isn't the first time that I have seen something tragic happen because of it. I do have to wonder why the Yell County Sheriff's office did not involve DHS (our version of CPS) during the previous calls to the home when Brian was hallucinating.
