It sounds like something happened to a baby and the parents concocted a plan to cover up what happened.
Floyd was arrested on July 20 after he called the police to complain about a woman breaking into his home and driving around the premises. According to the police report Floyd was driving around his home and was advised to get out of the car. Police were informed that Floyd had a history of mental issues.

It scares me that this young man has a history of mental issues and he is out there somewhere with this little baby.

Quoting my own post...As you can see, that article originally listed all these LE and other agencies in on the search. Now the article has been amended and locals are noting that help is being refused? Why in the world, when it seems that due to the instability of the father every experienced boot on the ground is vitally needed?Yell County deputies are being helped by the FBI, Arkansas State Police, US Forest Service, Logan County Sheriff's Office, Sebastian County Sheriff's Office and Greenwood Police Department in their search.
They asked the public to report any possible sighting of the two, but to stay way from the search area so investigators could focus their efforts on the search.
From yesterday the FBI was still in the area, I don't know about today, but saw an article or maybe on FB that Yell county was still in the lead of the investigation, and that the FBI and forestry was offering assistance... My post was more about the fact that they aren't asking for volunteer searchers... This is very rugged country and 100 LEOs CANNOT cover it, its just not possible and history has proven this.
I get where you're coming from, Iamme. I just wonder if they are discouraging volunteers because they believe the father to be majorly dangerous and they don't want volunteers hurt?
Do you know if they've tried to use choppers in the area? I realize they would be greatly limited as well, but they sure could cover a lot of ground and maybe see something.
Since we don't have much info on the current case heres a link to the case from the 70s I mentioned above.. It is prlly completely off topic, and not related to the current case or the escape buffington, but will help everyone see why any local LEO (or citizen) would immediately think of an escaped prisoner in a case like this..

ETA: she is not listed as an inmate in Yell county on mobile patrol app, not sure how long it takes them to update that... but I am very curious to se eher mugshot...
nothing new here:

but heres the article that talks about Yell County continuing to "head up the search":

And this one (unrelated) makes me wonder about the families story vs the authorities re: being beaten and not receiving medical care:

Hopefully it will be updated tomorrow (Monday).
Meant to ask this earlier: Why no Amber Alert?
