And they have an excellent description of the truck.

He lives in Greenwood, correct? And looks like Greenwood is an easy drive to interstate. Just wonder if they have sufficient information to believe he has not left the lake area. Seems like they would be covering all the bases, alerting that he could be on the move with this baby who IMO is in danger.

It's a total puzzle right now, the mother, the charges, the type of search, the lack of alert, sigh.

From just south of blue mt lake to I40 would be about an hour and a half prlly; from Greenwood, about an hour I think... from south of blue mt lake to greenwood, prlly about an hour or so. So yes he could have been on the interstate headed east or west before authorities ever found mom, there is also 540 (it just got renumbered I think it is now 44 or maybe 49) that heads north at alma.. In less than 2 hours on the interstate he could be in Oklahoma... or about an hour and a half if he took back roads...
ETA: OR he could stay on dirt roads where less ppl would see him but the ones that did would notice more and be pretty much ANYWHERE...

First thing I thought of when I read about his 911 phone calls is that he sounds paranoid, maybe tweaking on chrystal or too much coke. What a messed up situation for an infant to be in. Lord have mercy....

I had that thought, also and then my mind went to schizophrenia.

or both....

Bipolar Disorder with Psychotic Features is another possibility that came to mind when the hallucinations were mentioned:

Hallucinations

Hallucinations are most often associated with mental illness schizophrenia. However, they may also occur for those with bipolar disorder when either depression or mania has psychotic features.
and

Psychosis

Psychosis is a loss of contact with reality, typically including delusions (false ideas about what is taking place or who one is) and hallucinations (seeing or hearing things which aren’t there).

Regardless of his diagnosis, it's been reported that he was already having troubles with his medication, he recently had an episode, and now he's probably without any medication with his infant child at his mercy. They need to bring in the big guns to help them find this guy. They need to be using every resource possible if there is to be any kind of successful conclusion, IMO. I sincerely hope there's no local LE chest-puffing, "This is our beat, we'll handle it" bs that overrides a more IMO sensible, "You guys have the resources and the expertise...let us know what you need us to do to help you."

I don't know this area. But wouldn't it be difficult to hide a truck? Is it in a garage or barn? Or is he long gone at this point? After all, we don't know whether his truck broke down or if that was just a ruse.

Exactly my thoughts, too. I remember a family member calling and telling me she just knew her son had schizophrenia. Had he been diagnosed? Well, no, she said but he hears voices in his head. I told her meth does that, too, from what I've read and seminar I'd been to. She was so sure it couldn't be that. Two months later he was found to have it in his possession.
I'm not saying that I know this man or his problems. He may have mental health problems along with other issues, or he may not.
Praying for the safety of both of them, especially Harper.

It would not be hard to hide a truck in the woods... there are MANY 4 wheeler trails, old logging roads, dirt roads that are far off the beaten path, it would just mean driving down one of these then stashing it in heavy brush... there are hundreds of thousands of heavily wooded acres...it could be September/October before its found...it could be longer.
He could be LONG gone by now... they didn't issue an amber alert so once he was out of this area I doubt many ppl would know.
The truck breaking down has also been described in media/FB as "having vehicle trouble" so it could have been something as minor as a flat tire IMO, and that would be likely on these roads... We carry pumps, fix a flat, and a tire kit (plugs etc) in all our off road vehicles (as well as duct tape, a few spare parts, water, oil, trans fld, grease, compressed air, wd 40, and tools), we have knocked the valve stem completely off on some of these trails before... There is NO cell phone reception in most of the area and what you do get is spotty. Friends have said on he is an outdoorsman, that he is smart, and knows the woods.
Several years ago we had a jail escapee (we have more than a normal amount of those) that lived in the woods on the mountain for a couple or three YEARS before being recaptured...of course he didn't have a baby.

So scary...So many things going through my head right now. Wish they would give a little more information and why no Amber Alert. This is such a strange case. Praying for their safe return.

I found another picture that doesn't have any people/vehicles in it for yall that shows a good example of the type of terrain the searchers are likely to encounter... This is taken north of blue mt lake near the community of Corley, right off a popular trail; from the trail to where I was standing to take this picture it is prlly about 20 feet. This is not near the search area, but is a good example of common terrain in this area in general, also its a beautiful pic.

I would like to add gators to my list of dangerous creatures... I have never actually SEEN them but have heard for years that there are gators in th ejack creek/knoppers ford area....

KARK fb says presser coming... this doesn't sound good.

Wow this sounds really strange and not good for the little baby. Hoping for a good outcome!

I don't usually suspect drugs in MP cases, but the fact that mom was reported to be too out of it to remember what had happened and dad was "manic" points to drugs, rather than mental illness, IMO. It is harder for me to believe that both parents were suffering simultaneous mental health crises (though not impossible) than it is for me to believe they were both on drugs.

Do we know anything about their older child? Was she with them or with someone else?
