One other thing I've thought of from the start of trial. I think she has lost weight on purpose. This makes the jury see how tiny she is and question how she could overpower Travis. Tonight Beth reported she eats 1/2 her breakfast at jail and other 1/2 at court house. She can request 500 extra calories but has not requested it. The court should insist she take the extra nourishment.

Someone post I feel like I am talking to my self..... Which I actually do but not usually in forum. Most likely violated a rule...um

I agree, sounds a lot like she wants to look as frail and innocent as possible

I could stand on my head but am to old for that nonsense. Could look through my neighbors garage. Test if you can easily slash a tire or poke it with a screwdriver.

i imagine it's easy to lose weight in prison - the food probably sucks.
If she's borderline or has borderline features, she may have had issues with disordered eating for years.
I think the defense team may be putting her in baggy ill-fitting clothes to enhance the malnourished waif look.

ETA: jinx

No you didn't , silly

Yes, that is possible, that she wants to look as weak and frail as possible to cast doubt in the minds of jurors.

At the same time, though, they have seen the pictures of Travis, and know that she has admitted inflicting that carnage.

So they know she is capable of it....

Some of the women I have seen on the lockup series gain weight from the honey buns and junk food. She been fasting for her debut to the world. We are so feeding into our narcism. She'll have the jail house groupies lined up for miles.

People are still speculating she had help with the murder. Speculation on how she could have over powered and dragging the body through house.

Yes, I had actually wondered about an accomplice for quite some time, until many posters drove home the point that police found no DNA, no blood, no prints, no hairs, no fibers, etc. - in short, no evidence of a second person/

I assume the jury will have these points driven home as well. Yet they still may wonder.

But why would JA not name the accomplice, who would help dissipate her sole culpability? Because it would blow the self defense and point toward premeditation is my guess. But I have been continually shot down for thinking about an accomplice, so I just gave up on it ;)

The amount of blood could be used to her benefit to slide the body with ease. Sorry if that is offensive of me to point out.
Yes, Susan Wright is a good example. Women are capable of amazing feats of strength, and I guess this was another factor which made me stop musing on the accomplice theory.

oops, this belonged on lil_buddy's post!:what:

Yes, many people have said his being wet from the shower plus the amount of blood may have helped her drag him with ease.

Yes SMK I think she acted alone. Do you or anyone else remember her complaining of a headache on phone tape.? I am fairly certain I heard this at some point.

I have the feeling Travis never seriously entertained the idea that JA was physically capable of murdering; that he could take her if she ever got violent - tragic mistake.

Never underestimate crazy.

Tons of women have killed their husbands and found ways to dispose of the body.
Susan Wright managed to bury hers in the back yard.
I'm not in particularly good shape and I move large pieces of furniture all the time.

Yes. Wright is a good example, and even though she claimed self defense ( claimed he had been abusive for years, ME proved he was high on cocaine at the time, etc.) she was found guilty of murder one.

There was tv discussion of Juan M getting pictures taken + autographing for the fans. How does everyone feel about this is it crossing the border?

I can understand his thinking so: He had known her, hung out with her, been intimate - how could he feel she would go this far?

Even the tire slashing and emails to Lisa don't indicate this: Most (but not all, of course) stalkers never progress to killing. He likely thought it was stupid, jealous harassment. Even when he told others he could wind up dead, he couldn't seriously have meant it, or he would have taken serious action.

I cannot imagine his horror when the whole process started. Too bad his screaming did not alert the neighbors! Just imagine a neighbor or room mate having been alerted by this, and calling 911 and maybe even saving him! (and having her arrested). Of course with the AC on and windows closed, this did not occur. :(

Well, I think Jose Baez as defense attorney did similar in Casey Anthony trial. In these days of televised court cases and Nancy Grace commentary, the whole thing takes on a sensational aspect. Perhaps Juan would think himself rude if he refused? I am not clear on what the protocol would be.....Interesting question.

I think she did, yes. I seem to recall it....
