Who is the guy? Is he guilty for being in Thailand?

oddly enough I posted the exact link at another forum at almost the same moment you did Otto..how bizzare is that?

This news are stunning! I heard them earlier today. I very much wish for JonBenet and her family that this case get solved!

BUT: I think it's safer not to get hopes up to quick and think this case IS NOW solved. So far, John Karr is a SUSPECT! And I don't trust the media too much! It would not be the first time that they got their facts wrong! For example: the DNA - did it match or not? Earlier reports sounded very promising but listening to Greta's show, there might be some doubts.

I'll just wait and see how things develop in the next days, weeks. JMO.

One theory put forth on Fox (unclear if it's true or a guess) that this guy is in prison in Thailand and wants a deal to come back to the US.

Now that doesn't surprise me!!!! I watched a doco not that long ago about the prisons over there and this guy wont have a chance in h*** at surviving or getting out in 1 piece if he's been caught there for child sex abuse.

They do not get locked up 1 per cell its in large dorm type cells and foreigners on sex charges very rarely walk out of there in one piece.

The doco was totally gruesome about what has happened to foreign inmates (brutal gang rape, mutilation, torture)and the wardens just turn a blind eye to it and some even join in. They don't do it quickly either. One guy got 7 years for kiddie *advertiser censored*, he spent those years being raped and bashed and then 3 months before his release the inmates castrated him, they just left him lying on the cell floor to bleed to death.

In the doco it showed American Human Rights actavists talking about foreign (sex offender)inmate abuse/torture and i think???????? if i remember correctly they took their claims about the inmate abuse to the UN

PS If you dont know much about Thailands prisons google "Bangkok Hilton" its classed as the WORLDS worse prison. That one was on the doco i watched.

I find the following disclosure chilling and unsettling...

Germany: Three girls - 7, 11, and 12: I taught English to the girls through conversational and instructional methods.
I gave computer instruction to the girls via their laptop PC's. I drove the girls to their activities: ballet, riding,
handball, etc. I assisted the girls with their homework.

Germany: Two girls - 5 and 8; boy 10: I taught English to the children through conversational and instructional
methods. I awoke the children in the morning and gave them breakfast. I helped the children get ready for school
and escorted them to the school bus. I helped the 8 year old girl with her homework each day. I took the children
outside for play. At days end, I made sure the children had their evening bath, then put them to bed and read to
them before they went to sleep.

So his resume shows him leaving the country and teaching outside the United States since his credential was suspended here in California.

This is indeed scary.

That is one very vague resume. Doesn't list employers, cities, etc.

We were JOKING with you! JOKING, it has nothing to do with you honey, we were just kidding! Making fun cause you were so sweet and worried about it! No worries! Don't delete your beautiful doggies!

Awwww, thank you :blowkiss:

Talk about your weird co-inky dinks....

John Karr's brother states he did a lot of research on child predators and research children-related issues on the internet and such and that may be what got him arrested........... and yet there is a John Carr who is internet consultant for NCH Action for Children who does research on internet child sexual predators, etc. Now, that's just too eerie for me! Can you imagine? I'm telling you, this case just blows my mind.

watching Greta now--Nate,brother of Karr on now--thinks his brother was in Atlanta time of murder--says his brother was researching a book about child killers---Nate sounds pretty nervous,a little excited--has had only limited communication with him last 3 years, not even sure he's still married--says his brother will be exonerated--

Didn't his wife say that he was in Alabama at time of murder????

He could not list any stateside California employers as it would reveal the charges here. Perhaps, California is not the only place with charges.

I'm going on the record as saying I don't think there's a snowball's chance that this guy is the one. Personally, if Lou Smit was involved in tracking him down, that's enough proof for me that they have the wrong man. I have no respect for any of the Ramsey family, Lou Smit, or anyone else who made a mockery of justice out of this case. I'd love to hear Steve Thomas' input on this most recent development.

I think the media has gone wild today. No one has confirmed any DNA match and it is just as likely this guy is trying to get out of Thailand. I was watching Marc Klass just a bit ago and he is not buying it either. I think there is a chance this suspect isnt going to pan out.

Unless reliable corroboration exists, it always wrong to believe raw media spewing, always. I wil say this, if LE was onto and watching Karr, they could gotten his DNA and compared it.

I still think we are going to find out some rather interesting tidbits about his teaching careers hear in the states. I'll be anxious to hear why his license was revoked here in the states.

Holy cow they are talking to his brother on the phone and he is just saying this is crazy!
Did his brother explain the Thailand arrest on sex-related charges?? Another one of those amazing coincidences. If I recall (correctly--LOL) the Peterson case also had a lot of amazing coincidences too.

This guy apparently lived in Boulder for a time--at least that is what they said on the news earlier.
