can you imagine being on that plane when they extradite him?

someone I'm close to is USAF and him and his boss had to transport a USAF officer who had been charged and convicted of sexually abusing his daughter from one state to another ....they had to go via commercial plane...the dude was cuffed at the hands and had a chain around his waste so that when he got into the car, they could cuff his ankles....but it was hidden from plain site. They were not in uniform, but civi clothes and were the first on and last off the plane. The airlines and crew new ahead of time as did Homeland Security. They also were escorted by US Marshals into the airport, on the plane, sitting on the plane then out of the airport. Nobody on the flight (other than crew) had a clue...at least not obviously had a clue.

I wonder if this is how it will be for when they had have to take him back to Canada.

Ive flown numerous times w/ celebrities sitting close to me....but makes me wander how many times Ive flown w/ that kind of group ^^.....

According to the live press conference a few minutes ago on CBC newsfeed, LM will not challenge the extradition from Germany. Of course he wouldn't--he wants his "hometown" audience, doesn't he? In his mind, he's a celebrity now.

Honestly, yes. This unspeakable act was, in my opinion based on Magnotta's writings, the sexual fantasy which turned him on most and, I suspect, in fulfilling it he was aroused to the point of climax.

I agree with this. Without getting too graphic...he took a few seconds in the video to "line it up"...he wouldn't have done that if it was simulated...so hopefully there will be good dna evidence from that lease:

Or does it mean they weren't actually physically following him on the bus, they were just tracking him? Which is the likely scenario i'm guessing

Just watched the police news conference from Montreal. Here are some tidbits:

- police have "info", now their job is to proove it all

- not certain when he'll be back in Canada, no rush, lots of police work needs to be done, he's safely in prison so that's good

- paperwork is underway getting him extradited to Canada

- police have been in touch with the Best Gore site in Edmonton - police want Best Gore to help them make sure that the video doesn't spread any further (they seem to be saying they want the vid to be taken from the web)

- seemed to refuse to answer graphic questions (regarding body parts)

- I think more questions will be answered later on CBC Breaking (I had to feed my birds so I left the room)

The press asked the police this question. Police seemed to say either "No" or they just passed the question by. They (Montreal police) are trying to be delicate in this case.

I would be shocked if Magnotta did not keep the unedited footage. This unspeakable act was one of his ultimate sexual desires. I would speculate that he would definitely save the unedited footage for his own urges and view it to satisfy himself as it features his favorite person (himself) doing what sexually satisfies him.

Although I only watched it once when the news broke, for some reason I saved it, most likely because of the potential for it to disappear completely and wanted to have it in case it became needed down the road.

Now that the monster is confined to a cage and will soon be extradited to Canada and put on trial for the murder of Jun/Justin Lin, today I am beginning to examine how and why Luka Rocco Magnotta was able to initially gain media attention and why, with no notable accomplishments, he continued to garner media attention.

When I linked to and viewed the 10 minute Naked News interview from 2007 I was perplexed. The Naked News is a well known website that in the past received over 6 million unique viewers per month, a feature story on such a site is something that anyone in the adult entertainment industry would yearn to achieve. How and why would Magnotta, who was not well known within the adult film industry or even viewed or generated a buzz which had him discussed as "someone to watch", garner this attention?

I'm beginning to research Magnotta's early media attention, including but not limited to mainstream media, GLBT media, adult industry-specific news and/or blog sites and local media. I hope to establish a clear timeline of Magnotta's earlier years so we can understand why he became someone who could walk into a major UK media outlet or major Toronto news organization and be deemed as someone they should care about.

I think it is important to note that I do not wish to focus on attention he received after he was publicly outed as the likely kitten killer, I think that coverage speaks for itself. However I DO find it important to include coverage of Magnotta after he was outed as the likely kitten killer that did not mention or refer to the crimes against animals (to me there is something very telling about those).

Regarding the media visibility related to Karla Homolka: We are well aware of the coverage Magnotta received in relation to this, I feel that it is important to understand WHY he his claims and/or speculation about a LM/KH relationship was taken seriously.

Magnotta's own writings, plagiarisms on his own blogs, etc should NOT be included in this project.

That being said, this is a big project which I hope will allow us to answer many still unanswered questions, I would be thrilled if anyone might be willing to assist with and/or collaborate with me on the development of this examination of Magnotta & the Media (The Early Appearances/Non-Kitten Killer Appearances).

Note to Mods: I would ask for your guidance on how this should move forward-- Might it merit its own thread? Should it be developed in the other facts only thread? Thanks, in advance, for your thoughtful feedback.

he easily could have known someone in the "industry" and moved up and around from there to garner that media spot and attention...my brother is in the "entertainment" industry and knows a crap load of famous people and hangs out with them.......but he is not famous. Nobody would know his name unless they lived in his same city probably....he has been in the media, on the radio in pics w/ celebs, etc....but again, he personally is not famous.

crap, when we were kids we had a spot on a local TV show with Leeza Gibons...little foot in the door....my parents easily could have pushed and pursued more based on that little thing alone....

plus LM was his own very good PR person...he seemed to know what to do to get his name out there....he could easily drop a name or two and his lies and manipulation could aid in getting him those "spotlight" interviews we have seen....

all it takes is a foot in the door and a narcissistic personality combined with persistence.

Well, that depends. i will try to put this as mildly as possible. There is a point in the video after the full dismemberment where LRM is at least simulating it. However, it's not a very close close up, and LRM never really pulls his body back far enough to tell. In that scene, LRM didn't remove his sweatpants, but he could have pulled them down in front.

However, there is another act that he simulates, using the victim's hand...he may have left his DNA on the victim, but not necessarily in.

Even if it is in or on him, the little freak will just say it was from a consensual act. It's the most common defense out there.

I don't know what was on the portions of video that were cut out before he uploaded it on line, but nothing on the video that I saw includes any actual intercourse, cannibalism or murder. What it does include, well...pretty much everything else.

I was wondering the same thing as wangtangkiki...I'm having a hard time with this info. I agree his tears were probably for himself, though I'm not sure that it was about the jig being up soon. Shouldn't he have been riding a high? He was making his great escape! I struggle with him feeling sick to his stomach. There's no way this guy feels remorse. Right?!

Am I correct in remembering that was one of the body parts that Dahmer ate and had specific reasoning as to why?

Given that Magnotta is documented cannibalizing an area I'd consider private parts, is it hard to believe he did the same with one's most private parts?
