If you google map them, they are oddly distant from each other, and neither are in Burnaby where LRM rented the car. However, I suspect he had all sorts of connections out here.

Perhaps he was just going for shock value. And he knew it would tak some time to get across the country. Could be he was hoping it would look like they were sent AFTER he fled, giving him a half assed alibi? Although, thats easily disproven with date stamp on the day they were mailed. I'm going to go with shock value...two mailings spaced out due to distance.
 
At this point the remains have not been identified nor has the location the package originated been publicly stated, there are a lot of possibilities:
- We understand from history not related to this case that when horrific events that garner attention occur, it spurs like-minded people to try to 'do their part' and act out. From the Tylenol murders in the 80s to the Anthrax copycats to countless other examples; these high profile events bring out the nutcases.

- At this point, for all we know, a disgruntled worker at a medical cadaver company could have sent copycat packages to these schools as a way to take out his aggressions.

- There is always the possibility that Magnotta was correct and he is just a good boy and this crazy manager trying to ruin his life is the man behind the curtain.

Who knows...

Is there a reason why Nancy Grace is NOT covering this story?
 
Global BC > John Daly > basically the coroner will have to determine; electronic fingerprints could establish rather quickly whether connection to Jun Lin or not; Vancouver senior officer spoke and didn't confirm much, but did make reference to left and right, but he appeared flustered when he was talking.

IMO, the media is obviously thinking there could be a connection, but are being careful not to place too much emphasis on it until more info comes out.

Would have to find the link, but Montreal police have stated that some body parts were apparently eaten at the crime scene (apt in Montreal).

yes....no I dont have a link about the 6 parcels, read it on a facebook page...that is why I am wondering if anyone here can confirm that he posted that about the 6 parcels...........and yes the last part is the penis....can someone else also confirm that this was cut of in the movie.........I watched half of the movie but couldnt watch it all

any forensic specialist could answer that..... :p

but really, the best way to avoid the smell? dry ice. companies ship meats/food thruout the country and they use dry ice for it...and dry ice is super easy to find and buy!

Could this be a copycat killer? Someone at work asked me the other day if I had heard the story about cats being found sawed in half recently in Vancouver. I didn't check out the story but will see if I can find it.

in the video released to the public...the penis is not only left in tact, but never once touched.....

i watched the video and i did not see genital mutilation as far as i can remember but tbf i have tried to forget but i think only the police if they possess the raw unedited footage or the corner could confirm that

Human hand, foot delivered to Vancouver schools, police say

VANCOUVER—Vancouver Police say packages containing a foot and a hand were delivered to two area schools this afternoon.
However, Deputy Chief Warren Lemcke says he can’t comment on whether the packages are connected to the dismembered body of a Chinese student found in Montreal last week.
Police say a human hand was discovered in a package opened at a school near the Olympic Village, and later this afternoon, a human foot was found by staff at St. George’s School, a private boys school.
